I've been buying sterling Silver and I found this video because I wanted to ask if Sterling Silver is a good idea? Thanks Yankee, if you happen to see this comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts on buying Sterling silver along with my bars and coins Kevin
Comment from : Kevin Todd

Tony Price
I save everything metal - bullion, all types of old coins, US and foreign, damaged scrap gold and sterling jewelry, old spoons and other sterling items, and even nickel and copper
Comment from : Tony Price

Billy Bobs Wood

Rebecca Oliver
What of people ask not to be recorded? It seems so intrusive for Yankee to be picking up other people's silver and always interjecting questions when they are talking to Tim In another video when Tim had to take a phone call, Yankee and another regular customer started going through a box Tim had just opened Pulling everything out and looking at it
Comment from : Rebecca Oliver

Eric Lapointe
How much sterling did he trade for two 10 oz bars? I would like to know what tims exchange rate/percentage is I have a pretty nice pile of sterling and I was thinking of taking a 2 hours trip to see tim with it along with a friend we also wanted to take the trip with a pocket full our other friend Benjamin 😉 to hopefully come back with some silver and perhaps some gold!
Comment from : Eric Lapointe

Sherv’s Garage
If Tim pays for my airline ticket I’ll gladly come over and organize his shop in 48 hours It pains me to see how unorganized this lovely shop is
Comment from : Sherv’s Garage

It's LEGAL to melt all US coinage However, nickels and cents are not supposed to be sold for their scrap metal content
Comment from : Jason

Rod R Person
Your channel is awesome and Tim is great I love it when he rags on the leftbr🤣
Comment from : Rod R Person

Rod R Person
I buy silver rounds and bars that have been made for special occasions and sold back to my local coin dealer at 1 dollar over spot for my own melting purpose
Comment from : Rod R Person

Michael Dalton
It’s funny how the laws protect the penny and nickel; citing loss of production costbrHow much does it cost to make a hundred dollar note?
Comment from : Michael Dalton

hawaiifiveohoh
I've been goodwill, garage/estate sale, And eBay junk lot hunting for about a decade I've come across and accumulated roughly 100lbs Of different silver in 925 and other purities Talk about fractional A good scale is all ya need
Comment from : hawaiifiveohoh

Silas Marner
i took all the scrap silver jewelry that i found metal detecting over the years and traded it in for a 1 ounce bar after kicking in the few dollars that i was short on
Comment from : Silas Marner

Silas Marner
it’s not illegal to melt old silver US coins but it is illegal to melt cents and nickels for metal scrap sale you can melt for art, experiments, etc but if you try to make money on just the metal alone it is illegal
Comment from : Silas Marner

The Midnight Gardener
I really enjoyed this video! 🍻 I generally go to my large Op Shop (what we call Thrift Stores in Australia 🇦🇺) every week, mainly for Health, Medical and Spiritual/Philosophy books, but also looking for Sterling Silver Only ever saw something just last week so it’s my first purchase: an antique silver sugar tongs I picked up for $3 AUD Going to my LCS next week so will get them to rest it Fingers crossed it’s the real deal! 🤞

CatsMeowPaw
I've bought plenty of old silverware from estate auctions Even if it's 200+ years old, people generally pay melt for it Spoons are much easier to sell than forks There's something about spoons that makes them collectiblebrIn my experience if you want silver, just buy readily recognizable coins and bars Much much easier to sell
Comment from : CatsMeowPaw

Josh Tomlinson
I love hunting scrap silver!!! sometimes you can score way below spot
Comment from : Josh Tomlinson

Comment from : TheGreatest

J Birdsong
I dunno, I don't think anyone in my area would take time to sort through all that collection to see if any value was there Guess my locals are spoiled!
Comment from : J Birdsong

Chai Charin
11:55 as long as it is not a 1 cent or 5 cent you can do what ever you want with larger coins However, you are welcome to stack them and resell them to others for a profit you just cant melt 1c or 5c for profit
Comment from : Chai Charin

That Birks sterling bowl would probably sell for at least spot in Canada I recently bought some 925 home pours with weights stamped on them I sure hope they are not less pure At least I know who poured them and I paid below spot Silver is silver, as long as the price is right
Comment from : 925inder

Comment from : K Surf

Brock Shields
They don't really call old impure gold coins "junk", do they Jacob the customer, basically traded his his 925 junk silver for a 9167 "junk" gold Sovereign LOL! That's alright, despite what my Tulsa dealer says, I love the gold Sovereigns
Comment from : Brock Shields

Michael Earl Grey
To Tim's point about Republicans trashing other Republicans-brbrIf it's liberal Republicans, somebody has to call that out The Romneys, McCains, Bushs, Crenshaws, McConnells, and Murkowskis of the world are just as bad and have ruined this country Here in Alaska we have 2 liberal Republicans splitting the vote and the democrat will likely win with 30 It was a loose-loose no matter what The attitude of "Well we gotta keep the democrats out even if a scumbag Republican is the only option" is what got us here in the first place The Left already controls everything Let's go out swinging and give noone a free pass for progressive lies
Comment from : Michael Earl Grey

LR Courtney`
Why, with inflation out of control, is gold and silver declining? We were always taught precious metals were a hedge against inflation What happened?

these video's are eye opening,we just gathered up my MIL's old sterling and was looking at maker marks trying to figure out exactly what we had, most of it is 1910 alvin sterling, close to 21# worthgonna have to get it appraised to see if it worth trying to sell for its collectible value or as silver value
Comment from : marc brunson

Jimmy Licari
I understand Tim's frustration but instead of worrying about who's attacking who (left/right, republican/democrat, conservative/communist) we need to get those people out who are attacking freedoms, individual rights and civil liberties This divide and conquer mindset only divides us further Unfortunately this is a very effective way to control the masses Have them bickering, fighting with each other, because if they can't obtain unity, the population is much easier to propagandize and conquer We must get out of this mindset and call out anyone's rights and civil liberties being violated because if we don't, we all will soon have none
Comment from : Jimmy Licari

Ks Coins
