it’s not illegal to melt old silver US coins but it is illegal to melt cents and nickels for metal scrap sale you can melt for art, experiments, etc but if you try to make money on just the metal alone it is illegal

I've bought plenty of old silverware from estate auctions Even if it's 200+ years old, people generally pay melt for it Spoons are much easier to sell than forks There's something about spoons that makes them collectiblebrIn my experience if you want silver, just buy readily recognizable coins and bars Much much easier to sell

11:55 as long as it is not a 1 cent or 5 cent you can do what ever you want with larger coins However, you are welcome to stack them and resell them to others for a profit you just cant melt 1c or 5c for profit

That Birks sterling bowl would probably sell for at least spot in Canada I recently bought some 925 home pours with weights stamped on them I sure hope they are not less pure At least I know who poured them and I paid below spot Silver is silver, as long as the price is right

these video's are eye opening,we just gathered up my MIL's old sterling and was looking at maker marks trying to figure out exactly what we had,most of it is 1910 alvin sterling,close to 21# worthgonna have to get it appraised to see if it worth trying to sell for its collectible value or as silver value

I understand Tim's frustration but instead of worrying about who's attacking who (left/right, republican/democrat, conservative/communist) we need to get those people out who are attacking freedoms, individual rights and civil liberties This divide and conquer mindset only divides us further Unfortunately this is a very effective way to control the masses Have them bickering, fighting with each other, because if they can't obtain unity, the population is much easier to propagandize and conquer We must get out of this mindset and call out anyone's rights and civil liberties being violated because if we don't, we all will soon have none
