I cant count fast what others does i use fingers to count and some times makes mistake i cant understand maths algerba , etc when i understand while in exam i got confuse and forgot what step to do what rules will apply i always failing in maths i cant growing my career i have to make career but maths subject is important in every field what can i do

Yes I have dyslexia was diagnosed back in the 70s I got early help I still have a lot of difficulties in math it’s horrible

Everyone studying discalculia never seems to be concerned about us adults who went through life not being able to do math Looking at the test, it's only asking about "your child" but not asking about "me" I haven't been diagnosed, and at 41, I don't really see a reason to now I'm glad it's being recognized, I just wish there was focus on adults too Everywhere I look it's always "does your child?" No, i don't have kids, but the answer to the questions is "yes, i do!"

freshman in high school here; i'm getting tested on friday for dyscalculia :( im autistic and its super commonly comorbid, so it's pretty likely tbh i can barely do alot of basic math i genuinely have no idea HOW i passed any of my math classes the last 8 years, i've never understood math at all and still struggle converting money and doing alot of basic math (like 5 + 4) and only know the 5s in the multiplication table it takes me like 10 minutes OR MORE to solve a basic multiplication problem if its double digits or more haha just kinda sucks :P lets hope i can get help with this or something haha

This is me all the way I wish I could've learned about this when I was a child At least now I know something I can look into and get the help I need I'm doing Intermediate algebra, and all mentioned here is what I'm having trouble with

It isn’t just math dyslexia As a person with both having problems counting number and reading are not the same For me personally I have a hard time soliving math problems but I have no problem reading the numbers Dyslexia gives you a hard time reading and can make u have prounciation issues Dyscalculia effects the logical and problem solving process of math And the way to get better at math when having it is practicebrand working on your skills I used to have really hard time reading as a kid But now what im working on is my math skills I think teachers should try to make math fun and really let people with dyscalculia try and find a way where math makes sense to them Because trying to teach someone somthing that doesn’t makes sense makes them feel stupid But sadly teachers aren’t payed enough and school don’t get enough resources to help kids with this at an early age I think we should bring more awareness to this
