The thing about Amazon is that they don't make money to grow faster Check Amason's revenue year over year and it's P/S (price to sales) and you will see that this company is not about earnings but about growth

Thank you for the introduction on P/E Ratio I do, however, have a question please When you said the "EPS shows how much an investor claims X amount of dollars per unit of stock invested, do you actually mean the amount the investor earns for every unit of stock invested by the investor?"

its funny how coming back to these stocks, the one with the lowest (best) PE ratio ending up giving back a negative return as opposed to apple and amazon bringing forth a large return, but having the "worse" PE ratio

LOL as of December 24th 2020 Amazon stock is now trading at $3,17269 so value investing is dead cuz it's PE ratio is now even higher than it was when this video was made and the stock has gained nearly $1,000 per share so yeah that's the difference between quote value investing and growth investing and I suspect that a year from now but Amazon stock will be trading for 4 or even $5,000 per share Warren Buffett's method of value investing was a new and cutting and Innovative idea when he invented it in like the 60s it's a little outdated these days though unfortunately thanks to technology you see the problem with technology stocks is that it's almost entirely growth and the physical assets of the company you're virtually non-existent so a PE ratio is no longer a truly useful tool unless of course you want to evaluate the value of Exxon or a shipping company or an airline or something you know something that owns physical possessions

Technically you should be comparing firm's P/E ratio with industry P/E ratio to more accurately access the stock's valuation because each industry's average P/E ratio differs
