How would I know I had a proof coin I have been watching bills, and change, like a hawk I keep getting bills broken to see what dollars and change might have errors or something positive Just today, I went to the store, and broke a larger bill to get more change W O WCould this be a proof coin, and because I have never seen an actual proof coinI think it is just weird that it is SO beautiful? It is a 2006 quarter, p mintit is SO shiny The thing that makes me not sure is some coin dude said proofs have a really dark background Ironically, I found a dime that is just as amazingly shiny with absolutely NO scratches or marks, and the designs are perfecct! I have a penny I forget where I put it, had to put everything away since friends were coming to see our new house and didn't want a pile of money sitting out, would feel pretentious but my point is, the mint mark on the penny is so oddly close to the date it looks faked, like someone somehow superglued a D onto it, but in the wrong spot Not sure if it qualifies as a mint error but when I get a chance I want it looked at by someone for sure hehe Comment from : Mikej1592 |

I found a 1958 D silver penny It isn't magnetic, but it does have a bit of a light gold sheen to it The plating on the sides have worn down and it looks a but darker grey I wonder if someone changed it's color though I haven't weighed it yet There are couple of e-bay but none I saw were graded is it actually worth anything?
