It’s hard not to feel rich as a middle class American I don’t have money put away but I’m well taken care of I live in a small house with with my wife and kids and have food on the table But we also have HVAC and plumbing, nice things, toys for the kids I feel rich; who isn’t these days, here, aside from the homeless and the ones struggling to pay bills? Even without money we have comfort and distractionbrbrI want to show my allegiance to Christ Pray I unload all my hearts desires for Him alone

As someone who is not rich, I don't see this as an indictment against all rich people Jesus saw into the man's heart and knew that he wasn't willing to give away his wealth for the prospect of an eternity in heaven Just as with Abraham, God does not require the sacrifice of a son, only the willingness If this rich man had been more charitable, God likely would have increased his holdings - knowing that he would have blessed more people by sharing his increased blessings

This is an amazing lesson from Christ Anyone can say they have done good They will say they have kept the commandments and even swear on the name of God to up hold that truth (even though it is very wrong to use God's name in vain especially in lies) But once you test them like how Jesus had tested this wealthy man He backed away and avoided making a fool of himself as he already have before Christ for he refused to love his neighbours as himself Anyone can Enter the Kingdom of God Just be Baptised and keep all of God's commandments Break them, just confess your Sins and repent and keep trying You can make it Jesus loves you and so does our heavenly father

Not everyone poor will go to heaven, not everyone rich will go to hell What decides is spiritual dedication and complete faith in Christ The rich young ruler loved the world more than Christ, we can assume as the young ruler left Christ remorseful, he was not saved If i was the young ruler i would at least donate goods and money to Christs ministry, the younger ruler didnt even do that This shows how much power riches and worldly success have over people
