I create so much value from my clients but I live in an area that people just don’t make much brbrLuckily The city i live in created a program to help business’ pay up to 5k for digital marketing and web design projects I was lucky enough to be one of the businesses listed brbrHopefully we can get the government to give out more grants to freelancers so we can actually get paid the right rates It will only make the economy better if people use it correctly

This is a great video I watched months ago that helped me in an in-direct way Helped me re-evaluate my job role I thought about how exactly the project/work I was doing was generating revenue--how my client was building revenue from the work I was doing In my situation, I thought the exact industry I was in wasn't profitable nor sustainable for me (might for others), so I switched and now feel better off Thanks!

Build in residual income - it's kind of on-going work but also not I self-host all of my client websites I maintain the CMS software, extensions, backups, hosting, firewalls etc and also allow for a level of work each year per client to update text and images within the websitebrThis is what has allowed me to grow, and for my clients it leaves them with peace of mind that they don't need to worry about anything As my client base continues to increase, so does my residual income and I've now been able to invest in some additional support to the business to allow for further growth and also further improved customer support :)

How do you process payments and how do you deliver the digital assets to the client and what tools do you use along the way to keep the client updated with the process (slack or email) and if you use tools like Trello or similar tools and how do you streamline all these tools that together form an end to end design process (from the administration perspective) Also the tools for the payment processing brLove your content so a big thanks to you

Good video, I’ve kinda been thinking about that topic lately, as I been getting into web design but still have some doubts about the future of it as I often read and heard about the market being oversaturated and web design being a dying niche and what not so it made me kinda hesitantbrbrI figure that even IF it should come to the point where web design is no longer profitable I’ll still be able to apply all the skills I learned with it in other areas

Hey Rob I've got a couple of questions for youbrbrThe first one is in your opinion why do web developers go do junior office jobs and get payed significantly less than if they had just freelanced and work with a commission rather a hourly rate because in the UK juniors get payed at first around 30-40k a year and if they had just freelanced and did a project for a business every 2 weeks for 2-3k, that's already 48-72k a yearbrbrMy second question is also about web dev jobs in the UK In the UK, web developers are payed significantly less than in America if they do office jobs My question is does that translate over in doing freelance jobs in the UK or does it solely depend on your soft skills and value you can give to the business
