ABC Stores is not the 7-11 of Hawaii It's a tourist store and is only found in tourist locations in 4 of the major Hawaiian islands Hawaii has 7-11 and its nothing like ABC Stores

as a local:br1) I’m SO glad you went to Helena’s and supported a local business! If you didn’t try it this time, they’re known for their pipikaula!! And try to support local as much as ya can ❤️ There are actually a couple shops in Waikiki that carry items by local businesses for souvenirs for friends n stuff!!! (Also we have nearby farmer’s markets n craft fairs too!)br2) Hawaiian Isles water is def the best, but they probably will be gone by the next time you visit because they just shut down this week due to bankruptcy LOLbr3) We do pronounce it “lie-chee” 😆br4) If you like HCC, I would try Big Island Candies next time, they have the shortbread cookies there + way more goodies! Same price rangebrGlad you enjoyed your time in O’ahu babe! ❤

Our tourism industry is BOOMIN so the ABC’s pretty much took over; very convenient though I always say ABC stands for All Blocks n Corners lmao I will say though locals would choose an actual 7-11 over ABC any day, so next time you visit try to hit up one!!

I would definitely recommend spending your beach days on the east side of Oahu rather than Waikiki Eating off the strip (if you can) will be more cost friendly! brbrAlso, don't touch the sea creaturesseals, turtles, etc (kinda obvious) but just needed to be said Respect the land, because the locals have no problem correcting/educating you here 🤍 if you don't know or not sure of something, ask!

Born and raised in Hawaii, moved to az/nv due to cost of living ABC stores are mainly in the tourist areas like waikiki, ala Moana, koolina I believe it’s just very convenient for ppl, and depending what hotel you stay at, there’s one near by so you don’t have to walk far Pls try big island candies in ala Moana instead of Honolulu cookie company next time Better in my opinion Glad you had fun!

The Kouign Amann at Kona Coffee Purveyors is literally the best pastry to exist! Should’ve tried the high tea at the Veranda at the Beachhouse while you were at the Moana Surfrider Hotel! It’s amazing! brbrThe ABC Stores are mainly only in the Waikiki area for the tourists and everything they sell is overpriced hahabrbrAlso Waikiki beach is highly overrated and very rocky I recommend the beaches in the Kailua area That’s where you’ll find the soft sand
