i think tuition can be super lucrative but it also depends on ur qualifications and also the target audience, the kids in this case! just wanted to share my experience as well haha! i rmb my first gig was N lvl math n it was $30/h, which was introduced by my fren who taught my kid's younger sister he got $30/h as well n i rmb i was so salty bcos my math was btr than him n im teaching sec sch, but still i appreciated the help so s/o to my fren if u see this! but yea, gradually i applied for more gigs on several popular sites and i also did a stint in a centre - generally did q well but i rmb i was super burnt out bcos i taught 13-14h weekly in my first yr of uni :( fast forward to now im about to graduate uni so im super excited bcos im intending to apply to be a teacher! i realised i rly love teaching n it rly gives me alot of satisfaction! currently my rates are in the $75-$100/h range n i earn 2kish monthly so im q proud of myself hehe! being a fulltime undergrad n teaching tuition pt to sustain myself - i can say i'm proud of how far i've come :) thanks for sharing this video seth!

You mentioned you started the business with your friends, so I guess you're kind of starting from scratch?brbrThanks for sharing, enjoy your thought process and constant deliberation on the ethics of your work I'm an undergrad now (graduating in June) and have been constantly torn over the ethics of the work/industry I am choosing to enter brbrPersonally, I think you are definitely not overcharging/profiting unethically through your work You sound like you work your socks off (can't ever imagine working 6-7 days a week) and really care about your students and work, and yeah 130k in revenue is very respectable I worked as a part time tutor during NS and was a little conflicted about whether I was contributing to the tuition craze that sg has been in, but ultimately felt that it really isn't an issue that can be tackled on a personal scale

Thanks for being so open! I understand profit sharing ratios are sensitive, but could I confirm if the figures cited are the total revenue of the centre(s) or your share of the revenue after applying the ratio?
