I'd much rather get the large refund at the end of the year because I'd DEFINITELY squander that amount of money away if it was in smaller increments in my paycheck 🤷‍♀️ brbrAllowing the government to hold onto it for me for a year is like my safety-net savings that I can actually put into savings as a lump sum when I receive it back during tax season, instead of me inevitably spending it throughout the year 🤣🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Personally I probably wouldn't notice 500-1000 stretched out into 12 months I would blow it before I notice it If I get it back at the end of the year, at least I know it's going to a bill or something specific There's really no right or wrong answer to this It's personal preference

Here's what's even better than the government holding onto my money for a year the government TAKES my tax return every year because even though I pay on my student loans every single month, the increased monthly payment I get each year, I can't afford so I send them only what I have left after I make the critical decision on which bill I have to skip this month and pay late so I CAN make at least a $250 monthly paymentbrbrIt doesn't matter how much money I send in towards my student loans they take every bit of my return each year and even with my monthly payment, my owed amount has never changed and yes, I have tried investigating I'm shut down each time 😒😡

Yes yes yes As a kid, my mom looked forward to her large tax refund at the end of tax season Meanwhile we are eating Mac and cheese with hot dogs bc we were poor Like 💁🏼‍♀️? She would have def struggled to pay money at the end of the season tho so maybe this was her lesser evil IDK I'd rather pay
