I'm somebody that can't decide if they should put all their efforts into the cash back route or do a little of both so I can travel one day and have it be cheaper?
Comment from : Johnson Stobeck

GeneralFrankenberry
Travel rewards require way too much time to configure maximization Not to mention, it limits your flight options when trying to book flights with rewardsbrbrI value my time too much I'll stick with team cashback
Comment from : GeneralFrankenberry

Albert Castro
Citi custom cash card I believe is the best card out there because the 5 cashback on whatever category you pick
Comment from : Albert Castro

ABasedTohan
Just watched and wanted your opinion, if you are wanting to travel in the next year and your credit score is in the mid 700 (740 ish) would you recommend going for the chase sapphire first or try to go chase unlimited and work your way into the sapphire 6 months later to be safer?
Comment from : ABasedTohan

I just added AMEX BCE and CSP to my setup Also have Navy Federal Flagship Visa and More Rewards Amex - no pts partners but 3x cash back ($001/point) values in high spend categories (travel, dining, gas, grocery, transit) Your thoughts on Navy Federal cards?

Quiet Defiance
Do you recommend the Apple Card now that they're allowing you to put your earnings into a high yield Apple savings account?
Comment from : Quiet Defiance

Julian Garcia
Is there a strategy you would suggest to be able to apply to a few of these credit cards while minimizing the number of hard inquiries applied? I was hoping to apply for the CFU, Bilt, and Amazon card with a FICO score of 786 and I already have three credit cards (Wells Fargo Platinum, Discover It, Apple)
Comment from : Julian Garcia

Boat Enthusiast And explorer
Is there a way to by pass the income requirement for the sapphire preferred card or u have to have a high income in order to get it
Comment from : Boat Enthusiast And explorer

Daniel, love your videos, man, but you talk too fast I am pretty intelligent & I grasp things well But listening to you and comprehending the points being made is a chore I just ask that you slow down a little, in order to allow time for intellectual digestion After 1 video, I am tired from the intellectual work!

Comment from : GLIZZYGLITCH VIA NICEGRAM

Psyche Out
I get the cash back side but no idea why the travel cards are all over the place with nearly every one being part of a different reward network You're simply going to end up with a a few thousand points in every pot not able to really utilize them with one of the annual fee cards to best utilize the points usage
Comment from : Psyche Out

Czar
I came here because the thumbnail said $400 a month, was trying to see how that was being done Sounds like a lot of spin to get $400 back a month
Comment from : Czar

xERRRAHx
My most common used cards right now (OG 2014) Chase Freedom for Quarterly 5 --- CSP for intro bonus/travel/streaming/dining -- Amex Gold for intro bonus/ Dining/groceries -- CapitalOne Venture X for intro Bonus/primary travel card/catch all for 2x ---- Apple Digital Card for 3 back at apple vendors, using as gas card at Exxon/Mobil My approach was I wanted to hit the Intro bonus/travel options and build credit resume with Chase/AMEX/C1 so I have a lot of flexibility/diversity to transfer to tons of partners
Comment from : xERRRAHx

Gnarly Gary
i feel like you made this really easy and really complicated at the same time

Comment from : Zak Boxer

GeorgeT
The double cash I gamed for a while and the point tracker was very confusing it never goes to zero so I feel like I left points on the table
Comment from : GeorgeT

JM
great video! are you still making a 2 player mode with credit cards? i know you mentioned it a couple of videos' ago i want to see the strategy for me and my wife
Comment from : JM

gsnovato
Insted of the citi double cash, I would have chosen the PayPal cashback as the catch all card You get 2 cash back on all swipes and if you use it online using PayPal as your payment method you get 3 cash back
Comment from : gsnovato

Dejan Boromisa
Can I have travel credit cards and use them in Europe

Comment from : Nathaniel Booth

Pete Tran
I used to be team cash back but now that I’m older and looking to explore more I decided to switch to team travel points My plan so far is looking very similar to what you have here
Comment from : Pete Tran

Matt Ball
Great vid, but I'm surprised to not see the Bilt card, given that rent is generally people's biggest expense (if they rent) and Bilt has great benefits
Comment from : Matt Ball

Andrew Williams
Fantastic video Daniel!
Comment from : Andrew Williams

Plot
I feel like 2x rewards from Wells Fargo would be better than citi double cash just because of the $200 sign up bonus
Comment from : Plot

Amin Karim
What’s up with the ending bro? Did your editor forget to add the ending? Or is an abrupt closing the new norm?
Comment from : Amin Karim

Juan Castillo

You know I don’t know what anyone is talking about with the sound effects, I can barely hear them haha brbrMy videos have way more sound effects, now I’m realizing I should cut back tremendously nowbrbrVery thorough look at these cards as well, very nice Daniel!
Comment from : Anthony Venture

Devlin76
Great video! Great editing! Very solid lists
Comment from : Devlin76

Mitchelll Gale
Great video! These are getting better every time I would swap out the Freedom unlimited as a catch all for the Venture X in this set up You get 2x on everything, increased point diversity, a ton of travel perks and an effective annual fee -$5
Comment from : Mitchelll Gale

Dio Titus
If you were to recommend a 2 card setup for the average Joe to apply for and hold forever for a bit of both cash back and travel points, what would you recommend?
Comment from : Dio Titus

William Suarez
So 10 credit cards in total?
Comment from : William Suarez

Ray Acevedo
I don’t see the US Bank Altitude GO Being brought up as alternate to the Amex Gold card brZero annual fee with the same 4X point
Comment from : Ray Acevedo

Alex Tercero
@Daniel do you recommend applying for a new credit card while having a high utilization? I’m in the process of paying off all my debt I know a new credit card will expand my limit which means my utilization will go down Do you recommend for me to keep lowering my balances before I apply for the new card?
Comment from : Alex Tercero

HookShankHewitt
I like the blue cash preferred from american express for groceries The 6 cash back is the best I have found!
Comment from : HookShankHewitt

Noah Rooney
Thank you very much Daniel! Love your videos, and I find them very helpful! So much so that I got myself into the Chase Trifecta with the CSP, CFF, and CFU Love the set up and the fact that both Chase Freedom Flex came with a 1 year 5x back on gas and Chase Freedom Unlimited 5x on grocery for the first year My set up is currently perfect, but I can't help but think once these 2 categories go away I was curious if you could give me your thoughts on the Triple AAA Daily advantage card? Or even better if you could do a video review! The reason I bring this card up is that it would fit the gaps perfectly for complimenting where the Chase Trifecta lacks First off it's a Visa card and can be used at Costco getting back 3! 5 back at normal grocery stores, and 3 back on gas or EV I'm leaning towards this vs having to get both the Savor One and the Citi Custom Cash to cover all of my bases I know this is a nuanced question, but I appreciate any insight as this Triple AAA card is rarely talked about on YouTube, but has powerful earning potential
Comment from : Noah Rooney

Boon Doggle
I think that for me, cards with flexible currencies that can be used for either cash back or travel with low annual fees are the sweet spot That way you have flexibility without the pressure to use credits or to have a high level of spending on a particular card or within a particular ecosystem For low annual fee or no annual fee cards issued by Chase, Citi, and Capital One, I don’t think they really care how much you spend as long as you’re using the card with some frequency, and you don’t have any pressure to use credits to avoid losing money on the card This is valuable when you want a shift in focus from spending to saving (if you’re like me, there’s a time for spending and a time for saving, depending on what you have going on in your life at the time, such as last year when I bought a house and had to buy furniture, pay moving expenses, etc, and it made sense to use that as an opportunity to earn a signup bonus) A low pressure setup with flexible currencies works no matter what your focus is at the time while still allowing you to maximize your return on spend
Comment from : Boon Doggle

Scarling93
Saw a similar cash back setup, but they used the freedom cards instead of the Discover and Double Cash I assume the switch was for the sign up bonuses as the Discover and DC don't have one brbrSolid setup since each card can be leveraged in multiple places Bet you could switch it up every quarter and have a different combo for a couple years
Comment from : Scarling93

CadeCrash BrowieOreo
Wells Fargo Propel, Propel 365, and Propel World accounts will convert to Wells Fargo Autograph Card on May 24, 2023 All three are American Express cards, while Autograph runs on the Visa network There is no option to opt out of this switch

Sodo you have any videos that don't start with "So"?
Comment from : Bravo NinetySeven

Daniel Velarde
Heads up, Chase currently has a bonus to apply for the sapphire preferred in a chase branch to get a 90k sign up bonus instead of 60k after the required spend
Comment from : Daniel Velarde

pops91
Something that needs to be mentioned is that capital savor one can also be used for travel as the cash back from capital one can be transfered into points if you own a venture or venture x travel card Personally i love my venture x and pairing it with savor one is a must! It honestly gives amex and chase a run for their money
Comment from : pops91

Anthony jones
Daniel why not the double cash card instead of custom card ?
Comment from : Anthony jones

Kyle Larson
The one thing no one ever talks about is you need to spend a certain amount of money for annual fee credit cards to be worth it
Comment from : Kyle Larson

Andras Tiszai
Love the content, hate the new editing style
Comment from : Andras Tiszai

Xaviera Coleman
Your editor is fire… love the new look
Comment from : Xaviera Coleman

Comment from : Brandon Unruh

Higinio Morales
Team cash back all the way
Comment from : Higinio Morales

Michael Carr
Consider having your editor cut back some on the sound design, especially those mouse click type sounds Using these sounds like they just learned the technique and HAVE to include it in every transition Stopped watching at 1:00
Comment from : Michael Carr

Ludoviko Peluche
I can't watch this guy and take him seriously with that joker mouth/smile Such a punchable facebrbrNot sure If it's make-up or what but yikes
Comment from : Ludoviko Peluche

dark
Why not WellsFargo Active Cash? They both have a flat 2 cash back as Citi DC and the same amount of a foreign transaction fee + a sweet sweet design Lol
Comment from : dark

Ed Bailey
Great video Daniel! Love the content Keep ‘em coming
Comment from : Ed Bailey

Max Collins
I have the Chase Freedom Student, do I get a signup bonus if I upgrade it to the regular Freedom Unlimited or Flex, Sapphire? I want to upgrade or change product when I get out of school and not close the account
Comment from : Max Collins

Mihan Ali
I'm debating if i should complete the Chase trifecta (need CFU and CFF) and Ven X (3 new cards in total) or a setup like VenX and CFF is enough in itself? I already have CSP, Amex Gold and Amex Blue Everyday
Comment from : Mihan Ali

Kevin Ong
No capone ventureX??

Comment from : Andrew Sandoz

Ethan Patrick | Credit Cards & Finance
A lot of people like the simplicity of cash back, but I think if you travel at all, the travel setup is the way to go hands down Just makes financial sense
Comment from : Ethan Patrick | Credit Cards & Finance

sahib kullar
Great video, the only question I had was why not use the Wells Fargo Active Cash Card for all miscellaneous purchases instead of the Citi Double Cash? Not only do you get unlimited 2 on all purchases, but you also get a sign on bonus of $200 if you spend $500 in the first 3 months!
Comment from : sahib kullar

Jon Brekker
Another great video! Thank you for these, it’s really help me learn how to use CC to my advantage
