I've thought about buying things and mailing them back home to myself while on vacation to Japan, but I was always scared I wouldn't be able to speak Japanese well enough to pull it off (despite the fact that the things I want to buy and mail back are manga that I totally can read, lol) It was comforting to watch you pull it off without any Japanese I'll have to give it a go next time I'm there

Yes, sending a parcel in Japan if you don't know Japanese well can be hard, but usually the postoffice people are friendly brAnd if you don't have a Japanese address in romaji, just ask someone to write it down for you (^_^)
