Bella Andrews
Will you do the number crunching for 22 if the meal plan comes back ??
Comment from : Bella Andrews

Nat
The problem with ordering the most expensive thing in a restaurant is That the more expensive the meal The BIGGER the service charge If you're trying to pay in advance as much as possible during your trip, remember that the service charge for a really expensive meal, will be huge We went as a family of 6 on the deluxe plan a couple of years ago and spent a fortune just on service I definitely wouldn't choose the deluxe plan again, as at least you can avoid these high chargers with counter service meals
Comment from : Nat

AbbieJolie C
I didn’t plan on it saving me money I planned on it allowing me to pre-pay most of my meals
Comment from : AbbieJolie C

Molly Turner
Wait so say if you order an alcoholic drink with you meal (as a credit) and there is an option for a souvenir cup do you pay extra for the cup?? Btw your vids are sooo helpful ❤️❤️❤️
Comment from : Molly Turner

Renee Connelly
The dining plan is amazing if you utilize it properly BOG is a great use of a QS, and using TS for dinner is always going to be more cost effective Also, dont waste money on silly snacks, go for the most expensive snack credit options
Comment from : Renee Connelly

Rebecca Gleed
Would you know how much it would be to upgrade from the breakfast plan to the table service plan? We are going to upgrade but there doesn’t seem to be a clear price plan anywhere

I am from california and have been to WDW 5 times since 2007 Everytime we have got the Dining Plan, 2 snack 1 quick service and 1 table sitting For us Very MUCH WORTH IT Usually book in Feb and travel in October and November, avoid the summer I went Oct 2019 Trip paid for by July and when we got there other than gifts etc spent a total $2600 on, frozen fruit bars and waters We always stay at a WDW resort, Moderate and value, Make dining reservations 6 months in advance and do not use fast pass I am retired military so I get 5-6 day park hoppers from the military, huge savings Will be going in an year again Like the DFB very much 95 agree with you AJ THANK YOU and keep up the fine articles
Comment from : Stephen Iwata

Brent V
I have a hydration backpack so I don't need to worry about wasting a snack credit on water

GetOffTheLawn
I'm going to WDW at the end of this month for 10 days I have 3 teens including a 6 foot 6 son I purchased the deluxe dining plan and we are going to a lot of signature restaurants I've figured out to make it pay off we need to spend $35 per person per meal which sounds like a lot initially How ever when you consider we get an app, main course, dessert and a specialty drink (including alcohol for grown ups) it's really not that hard to spend that much per person It will easily add up to $50 a person per meal That doesn't include the 2 snacks per person per day The thing is if you buy the DDP and have little kids eating chicken nuggets it's not going to be worth it When you have a bunch of foodies going to the California Grill and Flying Fish etc it definitely pays off It's also nice to have a pre paid plan you don't have to worry about All I have to worry about is how tight my pants will be after 10 days LOL

Marty Lynchin
Disney Dining Plan is most complicated thing ever invented
Comment from : Marty Lynchin

BeefPapa
Any way I look at the dinning plan I don't get it The only way to get your worth is to eat a lot
Comment from : BeefPapa

Nocturne22
If you like sweet breakfasts, Sassagoula has the best bang for your snack credit buck Their cheese coffee cake, beignets, molasses cinnamon roll, and berry smoothie are all delicious, huge enough to be shareable, and pricey for paying out of pocket They also have an amazing quick service breakfast with the shrimp and grits bowl: get it for two to share, swap out the drink for a fruit cup, and just have the free coffee from your room to drink
Comment from : Nocturne22

IEN
What comes down to it is if you like pigging out, get it but if not, don't get it
Comment from : IEN

The Angry Patient
We nearly always get the DDP and save money every single time We do get the expensive meals and snacks, I don’t drink so I give my drink to my husband who is more than happy to have another beer with his Mickey Lol
Comment from : The Angry Patient

Nitin Jain

Comment from : Nitin Jain

IEN
So dining plan is how to be a fat ass on vacation at Disney World
Comment from : IEN

Jessica Gilbert
We are totally using DDP for breakfast everyday we are there We have reservations that get us in an HR earlier into the parks And they are character meals I think it's worth it if you want to take advantage that way Right?
Comment from : Jessica Gilbert

George B
Buying drinks as snacks, you can bring them back to your room
Comment from : George B

Susan Abderhalden
Why did they put alcohol in an amusement park People are more likely to get sick on the ride or you Also more fighting with drunk (men) If you want to drink that bad go to a bar outside the parks or go to Disney springs
Comment from : Susan Abderhalden

Owen Carey
Get $650 coffee from Starbucks with a snack credit
Comment from : Owen Carey

violet
Do the Disney land resorts have hotel breakfasts?
Comment from : violet

Steff C
If you get the dining plan you can get any meal for free?
Comment from : Steff C

Naty
Does anyone know where those pancakes at @4:53 are from?
Comment from : Naty

pinksugarfluff
Disney is soooo expensive!
Comment from : pinksugarfluff

Ivor Bellić
Breakfast at Be Our Guest is $25, book a table there and use a meal credit! Most lunches aren't anywhere near $25 Great value!
Comment from : Ivor Bellić

Kristen Finch
Does O’hana have an alcoholic beverage included with their meal for the meal plan?
Comment from : Kristen Finch

SFOT news
Can you use the Disney dining plan for multiple people like if you can't eat a bunch of your food split in between a family of four or is that not allowed
Comment from : SFOT news

Shawna Snow
I like the dinning plan because it is one less thing I need to worry about on vacation
Comment from : Shawna Snow

Dion Brodeur
We've recently discovered that, at the resorts only, you can make your dining Plan stretch a little further by using your refillable mug This refillable mug already pays for you beverage, so at your quick service meal, you can use the included beverage credit in your meal to cover an extra side or dessert item We did this at the French Quarter and scored some extra beneigts
Comment from : Dion Brodeur

Erica Waddle
I've been reading online about trading in a quick service credit for snacks Some people say that you can now only swap a credit for 2 snacks instead of the previous 3 snacks Has anyone been recently and had any experience with this?
Comment from : Erica Waddle

Jeni Hinton
I use the snack credits to bring back home all kinds of Disney themed rice krispy treats and bagged Disney themed items I give them to friends who are missing Disney Try it! You will be so loved! ❤️😃✨🏰
Comment from : Jeni Hinton

Hannah Tipper
What about the mugs you get on the dining plan? Do they fill those up for free or do you pay for the drinks?
Comment from : Hannah Tipper

velocity1012
Even with all the tips, DDP will not be a money saver There will always be waste and a lot of people might not want the most expensive menu item every time It's all about convenience When I bring my extended family to WDW, I pay for everything and I do like that my family doesn't have to worry about how much anything costs because I have already paid for it I do wish WDW would expand the DDP so that all items in the park and at the resorts are DDP eligible
Comment from : velocity1012

Rachel Anderson
I feel a lot of people struggle with the Dining Plan - when I was at Disney in June I actually had a woman "buy" one of my dinners at the resort since she had so many credits left I was very grateful but you shouldn't need to use the credits on a stranger to get rid of them!
Comment from : Rachel Anderson

Shirelle Rofman
4:54 omg where can i get those and what r they called those look amazing!!!!!!
Comment from : Shirelle Rofman

Chellezebub
My hubby and I are Vegan and Gluten Free My hubby also eats A LOT From what I have been told Disney is really good with special diets but what are the costs? Basically, I can’t factor how much a meal would be because I just don’t know so I don’t know if the dining plan would be worth it Does anybody have any advice?
Comment from : Chellezebub

WanJae42
Not doing the Dining Plan again this year because we want to enjoy a week at WDW, rather than feel like we're planning the Normandy invasion
Comment from : WanJae42

Gigi N
For our family the dining plan is a great idea We use every credit and my family likes to have a table service meal for dinner We buy bottled waters and juice etc for the room at the publix on the way to the hotel and have breakfast items too Not only do we save money that way but considering we truly enjoy the dining portion of our time in disney it makes perfect sense for us
Comment from : Gigi N

Emily Grace
In the UK there is quite often an offer on where you get the dining plan for free, which is what makes staying on site affordable for us x
Comment from : Emily Grace

Jeramy Ware
Is it worth getting the standard dining plan if you're not planning more than 6 months out? I decided to do a last minute trip to Disney World, but the only time that works for our family is Thanksgiving week Problem is that everything I want to do is already full up on reservations Should I just skip the dining plan, or at least move over to quick service since it doesn't seem like I'll be able to get any character meals or maybe not be able to find a place for table service at all? Are there any table service places that don't require reservations?
Comment from : Jeramy Ware

Scotty Ballgame
Telling people to eat all of your food? Ridiculous you arent my mother
Comment from : Scotty Ballgame

Allan Webb
I make sure I balance my Deluxe Dining plan out between 1 credit and 2 credit restaurants I come out on top every time!
Comment from : Allan Webb

Sam Phappalapa
When you know how things work at WDW part of the fun is optimizing it, like a giant Tetris game of time + money
Comment from : Sam Phappalapa

Charles Smith
I think the more people that purchase the Disney Dining Plan & make the most use of it it will inspire changes down the road This is the same Disney that changed the parking fee schedule to keep resort gests sticky This is also the same Disney that is not above a modification of the menu offerings We don't know what modification a fully utilized DDP could inspire
Comment from : Charles Smith

kimmariebimmarie
Question: do you have to get the deluxe plan to do a dinner show? They are worth 2 credits, but do they differentiate between counter service credits and full service credits? Last time I went we got the deluxe plan and it was too much food but we were able to do Hoop-De-Do and a character breakfast
Comment from : kimmariebimmarie

Craig
Hiya, can you use cash as well the dining plan there's a very fussy eater in the group and it would seem to be waste of 2 credits in be my guest for example for a child who will just eat friesso was thinking use the dining plan for the adults and use cash for the childs is this possible? Thanks in advance for help peeps
Comment from : Craig

hellopuppy00
how can eating be so complicated
Comment from : hellopuppy00

Sirya Black
To help with the drinks we carried refillable filtered water bottles and refilled them from the free water glasses or the water fountains around the park No way were we paying for water when it was free and with the filters the water was cleaner than regular bottle water anyway
Comment from : Sirya Black

babyyvie
😮😍🤫🤫🤫My kids sometimes eat filet mignon when they don’t want to, WE can get 2 extra entrees (think 2 more steaks or lobsters) and we pay for their kids meals!!!
Comment from : babyyvie

Angela Landis-Carr
Thank you, we love the Disney dining plan only way we will go to Disney We had no worry how much things cost we could get whatever we wanted to eat We are a family of 5 plus
Comment from : Angela Landis-Carr

Alexandria Hardy
Dumb question: if you have a standard dining plan and you order the most expensive thing on the menu, do you pay extra? It's my first time going to Disney since I was kid (over 15 years) and I have no idea what the dining plan does really
Comment from : Alexandria Hardy

FatalRanger1776
Dont get bottled water, fountain water is free
Comment from : FatalRanger1776

Brian Miller
You mentioned buying bottled water but may I remind you that you can ask for FREE water at any quick service restaurant
Comment from : Brian Miller

Tiffany Holley
Does your Snack Credit bundle include any allergy information?
Comment from : Tiffany Holley

Jillybean13
The only breakfast you should us a quick service meal for is Be Our Guest That is probably one of the most expensive meals you can get for a quick service credit
Comment from : Jillybean13

reeeeeeeeeeeeee
What snacks are good to pack and take home with you? 2 meals are enough for me for the day and I'm worried I won't use all my snack credits One commenter mentioned fudge that you can take back home with you and freeze Any other ideas? Do wrapped candies/gummies/lollipops eligible for snack credits? This would make a good video
Comment from : reeeeeeeeeeeeee

commish8417
Opinion on using table service credits for character breakfasts or breakfast dining packages for fantasmic and rivers of light? Good value?
Comment from : commish8417

synthion playz
So we got the standard dining plan because we want to to do a few table service options and thought it would be more cost effective than paying out of pocket and we don’t necessarily want to be tied down to a table service meal every day The question I have is, can we use our table service credits for quick service, as in can one table service be used to get two quick service meals? I know this works with 1 quick service for 2 snacks as that’s what we did before we left last year I plan on using 2 table credits for hoop dee doo and like 2 more table services so I’m going to have 3 unused table service credits left for our upcoming trip
Comment from : synthion playz

Anna Ayling
Does anyone know if the Be Our Guest Restaurant is one DDP credit for breakfast or two? brDidn’t want to waste 2 credits on it, as have before and wasn’t really worth it, but didn’t want to miss out on the experience, so thought breakfast may be a better option
Comment from : Anna Ayling

Lauryn MacDonald
Something I didn't know before my trip was with quick service meals you can trade in your drink for a dessert and get a cup of water, really useful so you don't need to waste those snack credits on those delicious cupcakes or pastries!!
Comment from : Lauryn MacDonald

PrincessofEllabur
What if you don't drink alcohol?
Comment from : PrincessofEllabur

Yorkshire lass Diaries
Do you have any vlogs on eating at Typhoon lagoon or Blizard beach or Universal Studios?
Comment from : Yorkshire lass Diaries

Gemma Birrell

Comment from : Gemma Birrell

Courtney Temen
Can someone tell me if O'hana's breakfast serves alcohol and if it will be included with a table service dining plan? I've called Disney multiple times and have gotten different answers from different cast members
Comment from : Courtney Temen

Comment from : Firetickle7

We actually love the Disney dining plan! We use it every time we go We are a family of 7 and we actually eat all the food with no problem We eat breakfast in the room before we go out, usually granola bars or pop tarts I love that we don’t have to think about food planning when we’re there Everything has been paid for so it makes the trip more relaxing!
Comment from : Its R Life

melissa looper
Does anyone know what the 2017 video is for where to eat and what to get that she mentioned is called? I know it is out of date, but I am sure it would still give a good idea on places to consider
Comment from : melissa looper

Dee McGee
Hi, AJ! You gave me a good idea for a new video when you said breakfast is the lease expensive meal of the day Please do a video on the best signature restaurant breakfasts at WDW!
Comment from : Dee McGee

Paul Larsen
When I use the DDP I generally do character meals since they tend to be more expensive
Comment from : Paul Larsen

Holly
It is a lot of food, but it is nice to not worry about what you are ordering or where is the cheapest place to eat Bring baggies and ice packs and after they pack up the food we put it in baggies so it doesn't spill in our bag We have it later for snack or stick it in the fridge at the resort and have leftovers for breakfast Remember to bring spoons
Comment from : Holly

Kesha Chau
Do you have a similar post/video on Disney dining plan and the Epcot food and wine festival?
Comment from : Kesha Chau

Can you do a video of your favorite restaurants inside of the parks?

Nick Lovesdynasty
The dining plan with 1 table service and 1 counter service includes 2 snacks?? That’s what this video said But I though it was just 1 snack
Comment from : Nick Lovesdynasty

Lelê Breveglieri
Now that the DP came with alchool I don't think it is worth anymore :
Comment from : Lelê Breveglieri

Stuart Dunn
It seems to me that if it's just adults, you'll have to work hard to break even If you have kids, you'll probably come out ahead because you get more food for the same cost as paying out of pocket For example, we book 6 days and do a dining plan, we all use our TS credits When we want to have a QS meal, we use 2 credits instead of all 3 We bank his QS credits to trade them in for fudge and other delicious snacks we can bring home, freeze, and enjoy throughout the year
Comment from : Stuart Dunn

Michelle Gonzalez
We found that if we got breakfast at our resort and used a quick service there was so much food we could share For example we had our refillable mug and my husband would get the mickey waffle with eggs and bacon and in lieu of a drink we could get another snack so we would add a yogurt parfait or muffin We only used one quick service for two to have breakfast
Comment from : Michelle Gonzalez

Dividend Investor 802
How does gratuity work? Is it built into the plan or is that something extra one would add after the meal?
Comment from : Dividend Investor 802

Lilys Ideas
Hi there!! Please do a video on the BEST breakfast to get with a SNACK credit and location!! By the way LOVE all ur video's!!
Comment from : Lilys Ideas

planet of the alien cone snails
Do you have to pay gratuity if you have a dining plan or is it all in?
Comment from : planet of the alien cone snails

gillinator
I would argue that making sure you eat ALL the food you get isn't required to get the most value from the DDP It's really no different whether you pay for the meal outright or you're using DDP credits- just eat until you're satisfied, it's not a waste leave some uneaten, since you're not getting any money back either way, and not being overstuffed means you'll be looking forward to the next meal instead of feeling like skipping it If you get hungry in between, there's all those snack credits, too!
Comment from : gillinator

Jessi Wallace
My family will never go without the DDP again We saved money because we were smart with how we used credits and we used every single one without having to waste on “shopping” The Food and Wine Festival is where we really racked up Some of those snacks are $7-8 each so the credit was worth it We used TS credits on character meals and more expensive dinners We did come out on top and the all inclusiveness was well worth it
Comment from : Jessi Wallace

Crystal Sanchez
wow i hope that disney has a dining plan that have food made for those who have various food allergies
