So, 10 is a “fair” charge for this service, and eliminating or rephrasing that last sentence would satisfy your concerns I’m considering attempting on doing some skip tracing (disabled and bedridden) type gig to supplement my social security Comment from : Mike Graham |

This is not a scam it’s a business! If they don’t know the funds are there and another does, you can charge a finders fee it’s not illegal! The state even accepts the letter! That’s just like taxes you can do it yourself or you can pay a tax agent to do it and pay a fee it’s the Same thing…they just letting you do it Comment from : shandrika mcmillian |

PA you must register with the state inorder work as a finder You can not claim any funds for anyone unless you are registered with the state and have a state finders ID number And it public record Which i love being transparent Yes the can claim their funds for free or have a registered professional like myself assist them! Ohio, PA are two staes i know of where you must be registered with the state inorder to film claims on behalf of claimants! Which i absolutely love because it all out in the open And our contracts must fellow state guide lines or your application is not accepted! There are alot of seniors who are not going to file for there claim or would even know that they exist So i believe i blessed to be able to help people get what they are owed and i get paid for my time and providing a great service! I had this happen to me recently, and I took a bit of extra time to figure out how to recover my funds directly that 12 minutes netted me 800 bucks I'm glad the PI firm contacted me to let me know the money is there Comment from : Josh Emery |
I was watching some of your other videos but with this video you lose a lot of credibility, IMHO It costs a lot of time and money to find people who are owed funds and a 10 slice of what they wouldn't have seen is not that much, also considering that inflation could be eating away almost that much every year Is it better that the recovery service didn't do anything and let the claimant be ignorant about the money they have? Comment from : Vernon |
Someone contact me about money I did know about I want your services Comment from : Teritta Hamilton |
You can charge up to 25 as an Oklahoma unclaimed money finder! Comment from : Dech |
I’m not surprised you got bashed in the comments for this video , I mean for a Private Investigator you surely did a half A$$ job in investigating the ins and outs of a Recovery Service Your lack of knowledge in the subject really shows in your statements Comment from : Neo Theoneness |
But if somebody has unclamied funds out they're and let's say if it's from a company or job they have worked like it's they're money like from lost paychecks or bank accounts Comment from : oliverrando |

you literally just created these issues based off hollow reasons you have no reason for trying to keep food out of people's mouths 1 asset recovery companies sincerely help thousands of people weekly in this process 2 not everybody that's owed state funds are tech saavy, nor have the time to do the research or call the state's office to be on hold for hours only to get transferred to multiple hold lines because the state couldn't give a shit about helping that person and if they did, they wouldn't be allowing 'investigators' to even be a thing - which is where an asset recovery company also comes into play in a positive light 3 lawyers take 33 of any given deal! whereas an asset recovery company typically takes between 10 and 15 while taking care of upfront costs such as notary's 4 one hand washes the other, both hands washes the face in other words - there is NOTHING wrong with someone getting paid for their time, especially when it's being brought to a claimants attention that they could get paid for NOTHING other than signing some paperwork and handing a token of appreciation back to the person that helped them, when they could've easily died without ever even knowing those funds existed 5 refer to number 2 again you are doing a great disservice to these people by trying to make them cautious and resistant to getting help that they in MOST CASES, know they NEED and could use try to think a little more objectively - you're too old to not Comment from : G Dot |
Lawyer's take higher fees for their services but it's the norm and expected Maybe make a video on beware of high Lawyer Fees! Because they also provide a service Comment from : Nev |
But how do you not sound like a scam on the phone? Without providing a web site or any other accreditations? Comment from : James Pak |
This is an absurd video First off, these people have no clue they have money owed and or they just don’t know how to process it Same concept as getting your oil changed…Why not do it yourself? Do you know how many peoples lives I’ve been able to help by recovering funds for them Especially during Covid…I rightfully earned every ounce of that percentage for my hard work, my time, efforts and paying MY attorney as well to keep things polished…Were you the kid in school that reminded the teacher about the test tomorrow that they almost forgot about didn’t you? Might I suggest you educate yourself more on this subject matter and look at is as a helping service rather than making your viewers think it’s a scam I could name 100s if businesses that do a similar service…… Comment from : Michael Saveth |
What the difference you pay taxes don’t ya! 😂you pay the commission but NEVER get told what’s owed to you! fund recovery is great compared to the actual phucking😂 Comment from : Urban Heyoka |
Also remember - you can cross out a clause in a contract, agreeing to sign only if they accept it It's a counter-offer that each side can accept or refuse Think car dealerships There's usually about 6 to 10 things that are "optional" but they won't tell you that Comment from : allan knox |
How is this a scam If it's a contract you read it and do your due diligence and sign it A scam is when someone informs you about something , promises an outcome and does not hold up their end of the bargain in it's entirelybrbrRemember they found money that you didn't even know was out there So I think people would be patience more than anythingbrbrI think people are so quick to scream scam when someone doesn't like when someone is trying to make a BIGGER THAN normal profitbrbrI think is much more acceptable when a mainstream business does the very thing that you said is fishy For example: The bank telling you that you can only withdraw a certain daily amount when you need more That's the bank delighting how you can use your money There isn't a difference Comment from : Jennifer Oviawe |
With all due respect, If you have NO skin in the game, you shouldn’t have an input There’re States that allow you to charge 10, 15, 20, 30 and some don’t even have a limit on what you CAN charge (Doesn’t mean you should take advantage) Some States require you to become a PI And other States require an Attorney Based on what you’ve read on the contract I didn’t hear ANYTHING out of line, out of pocket, or even unconscionable However, YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OWN OPINION Comment from : John Nunez |
There are unclaimed funds out there and there are many companies who want nothing more than to see the claimant that legally belongs to themonly with the best intentions It's not true that someone doesn't tell where the funds are and in fact, good firms do excellent due diligence and can be trusted Some funds, like mine, employs private investigators like yourself to do skip tracing as well as attorneys as title search firms to ensure the funds are clear These all cost money and in some states its absolutely necessary Most of the time, folks have no idea they have money coming to them I think you are over-reaching logically by saying "every" asset recovery firm is trying to take advantage of someone Many Asset recovery firms offer a bona fide and valuable service Comment from : Mary Scott Gilbert |
I never seen a overage contract like that before but every real estate agency will ask you to sign an exclusive contract before they agree to work with you on a real estate transaction Comment from : EJ howard |
Do I have to be a private investigator and/ or tax permit for the state of Texas for retrieving the state funds ? Comment from : Anthony Sayla Heng |
You're incredibly dishonest I'm sure you're bright enough to realize that This msg is directed at the guy in the video above Comment from : David D |
I checked a website under the state and I believe it is a scam It was from supposedly from the late 80s but when I sent them my information they said they couldn't verify I lived there How would they know if I can't remember where all I lived nor what address they're using ? It's a way to get your info and sell it Comment from : Patricia Munsch |
This business is no different than finding a distressed Property owner (house) and putting it under contract Because you have come in giving him all the knowledge of how you're going to help him recover and sell their house You wouldn't want to do all that work and they go get another realtor and go around you I have no idea why this video even exists Comment from : Johnny Barnes |
How is this any different than paying for any other service (eg oil changes etc)? You must be working for the government Comment from : Arnell Carmichael |
Is it normal for them to ask for your social security number and two forms of government identity They aren't asking for a cut of the money They said to mail it to Metabank Comment from : Chris Baker |
Those companies are legit and they will recover your money that you didn't even know it exists No risk what so ever They get paid only and only if they were able to recover your money and its a mutual agreement Much to gain and nothing to lose !! The process to claim the money is not as easy as this guy tried to explain let alone the effort and money they spent to find your money and to find you In fact it is a very complicated process that's worth well their fees to make some money while drawing a smile on someone's face At the end its a service you can accept or reject I don't understand this guy trying to make it so scary by saying "They got you" by signing the contract and not using any other service !!!! all what they got you on is what you mutually agreed upon on fees before signing anything and giving them exclusivity of representation to get your money What's so scary about that !!! |
No malice towards anyone educating the public but a company for any service asking for exclusivity in a contract is pretty normal Learn a little about contract law buddy and you might do a little better as a gumshoe Comment from : David Hooper |

Wholesalers do this all the time So I don't see this being any worse than any other business And have you checked how much money New York City keeps every year of unclaimed money it's in the billions At least these people are helping them get some of there money back Because the government sure isn't! Comment from : cesar |
So if a company's percentage is within the legal constraints of the State, what's wrong with the clause to not work with any other company in pursuit of funds of which otherwise they would have no knowledge - why would a company not cover the liability of wasting time, effort, and funds to perform a service for a customer with the legal freedom to withdraw consent at any time? Also, what hoops would the claimant be bound to jump through that weren't outlined in the contract? Comment from : Monte Properties |
Why are you knocking others that's been doing this type of work for years? What are you gaining from throwing shade Comment from : Howard Short |
I think this is a legitimate way to offer this type of service I agree the approach is what can make a break the deal Most of the time people are not aware of these funds and it would be a win win scenario in most cases I do know that the "Finders Fee" varies from state to state and some require a Private Investigator License to pursue this type of service I am in Texas and they limit it to a max of 10 but you need a PI License However, in other states there is no limit and you do not require a PI license So this could be an opportunity for some but due diligence is important Comment from : Pierre Andrade |
i just found u on the expansion world of youtube! i just got scammed and they gave me their phone number of course it can easily be masked or a burner number but they said they were from a certain city and that this business was based there i searched up the area code and it aligned any tips on finding people via phone number?
