I've watched/read a bunch of these "tutorials" on how to be a streamer/content creator and Toast is right It really just boils down to "Why should someone watch youu or your stream?" I don’t understand why when you’re affiliated etc why Twitch does have like a Channel Boost thing but it doesn’t boost you towards the top I think they should add that into the Discovery so however much points or whatever your channel has BECAUSE of your community and chat, that is what grows you Like someone with 10 viewers but they’re chatting alot and subbing, gifting etc being active, someone with 30 viewers but it’s mostly quiet should be below the guy above I think that’s how you find good solid streamers and communities

This is something I always kinda assumed If you start on twitch, u have 0 rep and no one cares about ur channel, but if u start somewhere like youtube, u can produce content at ur own pace and start to passively build an audience, drawing in viewers with a catchy video that gets recommended to them, and keeping those who are interested in the form of subscribers If u build up enough real fans, u should be able to transition to twitch while still making vids for ur yt audience
