Tactically the box fed shotguns are at a disadvantage as carrying spare 10 round mags is awkward and cumbersome Reloading a tube fed shotgun is easy breezy and you cab carry two 50 round bandoliers without any issues Plus it puts the ammo in the rifle faster with easier access to it Sure you get a few more rounds wit the box feed, but you're trading it for easier tube feed reloading and that is the ultimate tactical disadvantage Just my thoughts on the subject, I'm not trying to make the argument that anyone should do what they do different, to each their own

Being a proud owner of a Kalashnikov, I can easily attest to the fun, power, handling and reliability of my TS12 built off of the Saiga, I have put over 10k rounds through it without a hitch I did have a problem in the beginning due to my upgrade of the auto regulator , which was a big mistake Went back to the original and no more problems You need to shoot 1400 and above shells though, Any less and you will stovepipe Walmart ammo does not do well in this till you have it broken in about a thousand rounds or so before it fires them smoothly Any auto that uses gas will be the same though

I’m just an ol country boy here who’s grown up rabbit hunting and dog hunting deer and when you are shooting at deer and rabbits hauling ass the safety on top is fast to me than the safety on trigger guard I imagine it would be the same in a home defense situation

You know what blows my mind? You NEVER hear about wanting to ban Shotguns of any kind despite in modern times there being a huge array of semi-autos and/or mag fed (with drum capability) These are far for more destructive than any “scary” AR-15, especially since you can NOT just buy the ones shown in movies But these idiots have too much time on their hands so they see them in movies and think that they literally sell fully auto or so even 3 round burst People need to educate themselves before opening their mouths about AR’s and banning them A standard bolt action 308 can be just as deadly with detachable magazines But these morons calling for illegal anti-constitutional laws don’t even know what a 308 Winchester, 300 blackout or a 30-06 is even They think all bullets are the same A certain moronic person that is somehow the leader of the country is quoted saying a “9mm can blow your lungs out”, the smallest pistol round that isn’t a 38 or a 22lr/22 WMR And back to shotguns, they are far more destructive than a semi-auto AR; particularly a semi-auto/Mag-fed that home 8+1 Or how about someone that has mastered a Keltec KSG 25 with 00 buck and has a choke keyed to modified choke? It’s so strange that the best shooters don’t commit heinous crimes and 99 of the time the people committing these crimes don’t have like a full arsenal at home, just what they’re using…which is usually an illegal ghost gun that would not be effected by more 2a breaking laws

Nah man I got many different types of shotguns in my safe from a regular mossberg mariner to a mossberg chainsaw to a tactical Remington 870 Have side by sides, over unders, coach guns and a Saiga shotgun But the best in my safe I got last year A Black Aces Tactical Bullpup and it was easily the cheapest one in the safe while its lighter, shoots faster, eats ammo like a damn monster, anything from bird to buck Im honestly surprised nobody ever talks about it for as cheap and awesome that it is! I have a Tavor x95 bullpup and they look good together sitting side by side!

I have a Komrad with an EOTech and V6 muzzle brake on it Love the thing, but there is the occasional stovepipe, though easily cleared It sucks NOT being able to put a fresh mag in with the bolt forward and it does not lock back on empty so you get the dreaded "AK Click", so, that sucks, but there is a mag feed ramp now available from Kalashnikov that supposedly guides the mag in better (sometimes a PITA) and allows for a closed bolt mag reload, so, I'll get and install one of those and try it out Cool gun, a little quirky, and finicky with ammo (I run nothing under 1,425FPS), but still cool and VERY devastating MY buddy even had some 1,500fps birdshot for trap shooting that I ran through it no problems, and even though I'd never done it before, I was able to nail a good percentage of the clays he threw out there because I could acquire the target fast with the EOTech Strange combo, but it actually worked pretty well, I did better with it than the skeet/trap gun he had! It was fun, I want to do a lot more of it now that I found ammo that's fast enough I want to see a good, reliable AR style 12ga that isn't like $2,000-$3,000 Owning a Tavor 7 though, if IWI gave up on the TS12 design and made a Tavor 7 style mag-fed bullpup with 17" barrel (even at the $1,900 I paid for the 7), I'd sell the Komrad in a heartbeat THAT, would be a PERFECT 12ga!

I couldn't help but to notice that bullpup shotguns were missing from this list I don't have a great range of experience on the topic, I've only built a Saiga-12 conversion back in the day And being left-handed, the Black Aces Tactical was the one that was the most appealing to me Especially at the $399 sale price I got a kick out of the fact that the Black Aces bullpup semi-auto came with a barrel shroud that looks like it's an SBS with suppressor I think it cost me about $100 to have a similar barrel shroud made for my Saiga12 build - and while it did help with recoil slightly, I really only did it for cosmetic purposes
