Sent 8 silver dollars into PCGS for grading after using this method They came back in the mail today To my surprise all the grades are harshly cleaned or cleaned After calling PCGS they said the coins were not gradable Basically I ruined coins from the late 1800’s using ezest The video says before submission BEWARE!!! I have dipped uncirculated and high end AU silver and gold coins for over 25 years to get them back to their original surface if they had something on the surface of the coin If the coin is darker or dirtier i let them soak longer than you did in the video I do one coin at a time like you did but as soon as i rinse the coin off i immediately pat the coin dry with a very soft cloth If you don't pat them dry it can leave water spots on the coins surface I repurposed a plastic tray with a handle from liquid jewelry cleaner so there is zero chance of accidentally scratching the surface of the coin when i dip it I have never had even one coin i submitted for grading come back graded as cleaned with this conservation method The grading companies do the same thing to Silver and Gold coins if you pay them more for conservation Dipping those Ike Dollar's really brought the Mirror , Cameo look back Great video Numismatic Stacker thank you Comment from : Mike Smith |
Let me ask you, will a grading company consider or think that coins are cleaned if a person uses this product ? 🤔 Comment from : SLAYER STACKER |
I've used the same product and the only suggestion I would make is to rinse them with distilled water If you have a water softener, the salt in the system may not be beneficial Comment from : Peahead |
This is a great video! Keeping it real my guy! Comment from : Trident |
Never Ever clean a cointhis pains me too watch !! Comment from : Les-Likes-Coins |

Just out of curiosity, how does that not count as cleaning? Comment from : Charles Seeks Silver |
That Morgan with sky blue hue toning, that one was sad With the rest of the coins, shining and lustrous is not what the graders look for exclusively, the surface needs to be intact and strike needs to be solid I don’t know about this tactic, it may work but the numismatic value is gone, market value may be there for some… Comment from : Shantanu Singh |
