The S&P 500 has rallied 19 so far this year, taking its gains since the end of 2008 – the year of the global financial crisis – to more than 400 I want to spread across $400k into profit yielding dividend equities but unsure of which to get into Comment from : Nick |

Last month i invested my £400 saving in S&P 500, and already lost £4 I feel sad 😔 Comment from : Aj Aj |

Taking early notes from Warren as to the importance of sound asset diversification and risk management It can’t be overstated I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $300K for sometime now, I would greatly appreciate any other suggestions Comment from : Bill |

After a terrible 2022, shell-shocked financial backers have a lot to think about and losses to recover from An expansion report and a wealth of other data did little to alter assumptions that the Central bank would likely keep raising interest rates regardless of whether the economy slows down This implies that portfolios will experience more losses during the first quarter of 2023 I'm currently at a crossroads deciding whether to exchange my $250k security/stock portfolio; how might the continuous market volatility work to my advantage? Comment from : Richard William |

Just started last month with investing (at 33) Luckily i don't (really) have to worry about my pension Thats well taken care of in my country So investing is just to get a little extra Chose an S&P 500 ETF to start off with Gonna buy every month extra shares, minimizing the risk of buying to high Not gonna try to time the market In the long term it will hopefully be worth And with little stress Comment from : RobbieE |

As an investing enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing I do have about $70k amount of capital to start up but I have no idea what strategies and direction I need to approach to help me make decent returns Comment from : Bobby mainz |

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33 S&P, 33 Total stock, and 33 international I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100 stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore Comment from : Riggs Nicole |
|
Great video! I have had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent way to invest and trade, so I hired an expert financial advisor for assistance, her name is bRobin Brezik/b and following her advice, I put in $150k value into investments and digital assets, now I have close to $ 1million so far and my retirement funds is increasing with good returns Pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes Comment from : Melissa Foster |
|
Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly Comment from : Williams Robert |

I will forever be in-depted to you Elise Mabel you've changed my life, I'll continue to preach about your name for the world to hear, you've saved me from a huge financial dept without minding my bad credit score with just a little investment🇺🇲🇺🇲 Comment from : Zayn Wyatt |

Retirement timing and choice determines a lot in one's life Investing before retirement comes, is another My parents spent same number of years working full time jobs, but my mom was investing through a financial manager while my dad by himself My mom retired with over $65 million, whereas my dad retired with little above to $500k It is your choice on how you invest As for me I invest with my financial manager bRobin Brezik/b , and I have never regretted it, as my portfolio keeps increasing Comment from : Amanda Louise Medford |

I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market I just don't want to lose everything I've heard of investors making over $400k profit in this current sinking market, and I'm looking for ideas on how to earn similar profits Comment from : Thomas Heintz |

bI began my investment journey at the age of 27, primarily through hard work and dedication I am to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity/b Comment from : Jonas Josephine |

S&P is not going to make you rich, it helps you maintain you wealth better after you have already became rich IF you want to become rich you have to take risks investing or it just doesnt work like that, in fact the first 6 figures you will make wont even come from investing it will come from saving Comment from : MeanKronen |

I totally agree I have to admit that I am not that great at stock-picking However, I am a whole lot better at daytrading and scalping Forex and stock indices So I would rather focus my energy on getting even better at daytrading and scalping on the low timeframes - and they just buy a broad stock index ETF and just let that give me an average return Comment from : я ненавижу русских |
|
When taxes and fees are factored in there is no better choice than a market index for any extended period (say 10 years or more) The best analogy I can give you is the following: I am telling you BEFORE a 15 horse race starts which horse is guaranteed to finish 2nd If one is foolish enough to say "I will ignore that advice as I think I can pick the winner" than so be it You can make a hell of a lot of money knowing which horse finishes 2nd Comment from : Mark Miller |
|
I have been bench marking trading vs holding all stocks in sp500 Just holding sp500 just works! brbrTiming the market and being active saves you against losing I have collected data from both 2007 recession and the bull session in 2010s brbrYou can have less loss in terms of trades and profitsbrBut by holding the sp500 you will have more losing trades but more profit brbrIt sounds weird but the math added up and I end up losing close to half or more profits if I didn't held an index Comment from : Mrslykid1992 |

Not making up to a million before retirement is unfulfilled retirement!! I’m 54 and my wife 50 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts Currently living smart and frugal with our money No longer putting blames on FED for our misfortunes Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early, even till now we earn weekly!! Putting well-earned money into the stock market can be over emphasized for first-time investors, unlike a bank where interest is sure thing! Well, basically times are uncertain, the market is out of control, and banks are gradually failing I am working on a ballpark estimate of $5M for retirement, and I have a good 6-figure loaded up for this, could there be any opportunity for a boomer like me? I'm nearly $1M after subsequent investments so far Comment from : Eric |

You can beat the market The key is you have to do it right The obvious example is Warren Buffett himself There are more investors out there DO beat the market Who the heck would pay a fund manager to take control of my own money and let it drive through the market ALL THE WAY up and down OUCH On the top of that, you have to pay pretty high commission fee It might sound small to you, but if you do a math of 30-40 years, wellanother OUCHbrWhy Warren Buffett suggested that? Because majority of people suck at handling their money Comment from : britneythao |
|
The S&P, The Nasdaq, The Russel, The Dow Jones, SPY & TSLA etc They've all failed since the beginning of 2022 The S&P lost about 13-14 percent and more since the beginning of the year And Because of that there are a lot of opportunities that you can take if you are willing to profit from the market Comment from : Tahiri Said |

Warren Buffett has mastered what patience looks like He has stuck to the markets, having a long term view on the markets This is what I'm struggling to do, trying to learn how to not react to market news about inflation and all I have currently set aside about $253k to put in the market now that prices are down Any ideas? My spouse and I are adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term, We've set aside $250k to start following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit Comment from : RohseJones |

Buffet choosing the S & P 500 is wise The S & P 500 has given a good return historically and it would give less credible to all of the arguments about "what Warren Buffett would do" because Warren Buffet said exactly what he advised his family to do Another reason why Buffett picked the S & P 500 is because it is a staple that is not going anywhere Berkshire is doing well now, and will likely continue to do well after Buffett's passing, but its well being is not a certainty Comment from : Irenaeus of Pensacola |

It's interesting how Buffett gives indexing advise yet a brief perusal of his road to wealth is anything but this He VERY aggressively built his business and bought other businesses and stocks to bring him where he is now He did NOT reach wealth by mere indexing It seems hypocritical of him to give advice that contradicts what he actually did Comment from : Ryan Kiel |
