Biologically, most teenagers are young adults This has been widely recognised throughout all of history in almost every culture everywhere on earth Even today, libraries still have a section called "young adult fiction" which is intended for teenagers because this fact was so recently still known to all English speakers It is demeaning, disempowering, and scientifically incorrect to refer to young adults as "kids" Out of respect for the abilities of young adults, everyone should cease that cruel and belittling bad habit
