Most likely the pigs eat them I had that happen a time or two, If they did there's no Residue All they leave is a greasy spot Comment from : Paul Dominy |
Feral hogs not only tear up your pasture and kill wildlife they, probably worst of all, pollute all ground water sources brbrBecause feral pigs are hard to hit, especially after the first shit, a shotgun, as with gamebirds, offers the better advantage as compared with rifles However, it seems to me that since we're trying to destroy these costly pests, it would be best to throw the widest possible shot pattern So, I would like suggest the use of cylinder bore short barrels Don't you agree? Comment from : Lauro Garza |

spider Comment from : Rusty Hardman lll |

I’m in Texas and these hogs are destroying everything They make the cows hurt themselves and destroy crops I do my part In killing them too Comment from : Kenomis |

There are definitely Sasquatch out there, it's been known by a lot of people, check out how to hunt on YouTube he's a big game guide he's ran into these things his whole life he's been guiding for 30 plus years out in British Columbia his name's Steve isdale and he's a no BS type guy After you listen to him for a while you might be surprised what might took your pigs! I've hunted wild pigs on my life through the swamps of Florida killed hundreds of them and they don't carry each other off Comment from : God is great Jesus is Lord |
Fellas,brCan you think of anything more wonderful for stalking wild boar 🐗 in the dark at rather close quarters than a 12 gauge shot gun? Beautiful! Comment from : Jack Griffith |
Always enjoyed your videos I don’t currently load 12 gauge and I’m not sure where you can buy Federal fire control wads If , by chance, you have some info, it would be greatly appreciated Thanks again, your devoted follower MW Comment from : M Wilkinson |

I have never used a 00 buckshot load on wild boar, nor even a slug have always been a rifle hunter but have 2 very good shotguns that would be excellent Maybe will give it a try seems when I did hunt and carried a shotgun I didnt get the opportunity I have killed larger boar with rifles that had heavy shields and recovered 00 buck that did not penetrate Distance may have been an issue however Think it would be great for these smaller animals in the 60-120 lb class we call meat hogs, especially if running, enhanced hit potential Comment from : SGT MAJ Trapp |
Your UFO is the little flying machine that shoots lasers on the millennium falcon in Star Wars That's funny Comment from : Mr Rogers |
Buckshot is absolutely devastating on pigs I hear so many people say it's ineffective I had one guy telling me he shot a pig with buckshot and it bounced right off I told him you either missed, or you shot it 300 yards away in which case, that would be believablebrbrI myself use a 12 guage for eradication I occasionally shoot one for the meat, but a 12 guage does too much damage lol I love a 243 core lokt to the head Comment from : Michael H |
Multiple wound channels I can't wait to see a chopper hunter with a AA-12 and a drum mag loaded with 00 buck Comment from : bryant woodard |
Greets from South Africa! Loved this! 00/LG as it's called here is extremely effective for pigs, especially the better patterning Hornady Critical Defense (Versatite wads) and Federal Flight Control 00 Not sure you'd want a tight pattern when hunting close range with so many hogs about though? Comment from : Brendan K |

Thank you for this video sir I am a subscriber to your channel I was wondering what your light setup on your shotgun is? I am looking to attach a light on the barrel of my shotgun for home defense The other question I have is what kind of choke does your barrel have? Thank you again Comment from : Patrick Sullivan |
Take the lanyard off the light unless you prefer getting hung up in the sticks Comment from : Danny Welch |
That looks like what we call a crab shell spider down here You said around a pond right so what about a gator?brThe way your hunting is i can see the shotgun Theres a lot of guys that use them herebrI never been that big on buckshot The only 2 shot hogs that got to me were one shot with a 9mm the other was hit with buckshot that didn't get through the grisle plate on a big boar But if I remember right it was a 16ga with number 3 buckshot brI like the 358-45-70 or 44mag for most of the shots After hurting my shoulder the 350L and 6mm rem have been doing the jobbrI use the 6mm for big hogs or when trying forcon for the freezer Comment from : Tbj Tbj |
What do you think of a green lazer sight I have one lots of lite as well as a sight Comment from : Gary Uselman |

We in Canada (Eastern Ontario) do not have pigs in large numbers yet We certainly do not want them here But the temptation will be great for many hunters to import a few just to share the immense pleasure that you seem to be having massacring these ugly beasts Too much fun is being displayed on the Internet shooting them up People who do know know them first hand do not understand the tsunami of misery that they bring Good hunting! Comment from : Jean Morin |

Trying to figure out how you got that UFO to float Comment from : Nothing Fancy Just Us |
Got a 2&3/4 recipe for #6, 7, or 8 that can be loaded with 00 buck normally with 30 gr of longshot we boost to 34 gr of powder with 15 ounce of shot or 00 buck All Winchester parts, blech, but it works out past 50 yards in a full choke Massive damage Comment from : Nothing Fancy Just Us |
I like to reload them hot Comment from : Nothing Fancy Just Us |
You mentioned OG and his danger show Comment from : Nothing Fancy Just Us |
Those 3 inch slugs from federal we tried the other day, I believe would also do the job We do, however, keep 3 and 35 inch 00 buck in all of our shotguns Comment from : Nothing Fancy Just Us |
Nice ,but buckshots realy need good shot placement to put the hogs down in their tracks Comment from : Parsha Farahi |
It was very exciting just to see a Winchester pump shotgun in the video Most everything you see now days is Mossberg I have an old Winchester Defender, riot style shotgun 8+1 cylinder bore, I got back in 1988 I think it was I still love that gun, but my old shoulder don't like it so much anymore It's really hard to beat a shotgun with 00 Buck when hunting in thick brush Comment from : Ericka C |
Hogs are a plague I know people who use everything from 22lr to 300 blackout on them But, buckshot is good medicine too Comment from : Wasteland Seven |
Okay I really did enjoy your video shooting content and keep them coming and yes I subbed you and thumbs UP of course and actually liked it as much as watching Hickok45 on here !!!! By the way what is the name of your flashlight mount on your pump shotgun you were using and can that mount be used for mounting a red dot scope on a non ribbed shotgun barrel I'm just dyeing to know please sir because I want to mount a red dot scope on my H&R Topper Model 58 single shot 12 ga shotgun and that would be perfect mount if that is compatible to a red dot scope dimensions ? Comment from : Jeffrey Elliott |
Best shot for red pigs 😂😂😂 Comment from : Miceál Mac Adaim |
I think some garlic, barbecue sauce, apples, pineapples and a flame thrower might be an effective combination Tasty too! Comment from : In Gratitude I Am |
I use Federal 3 inch Magnum 000 Buckshot 10 pellets Works great on hogs for me in east Texas Comment from : Old School Cop |
Good video, George I hafta add a few words from my years of hog hunting Buckshot will surely bring down a pig, but with waning effectiveness as the weight goes up Once you get to the hundred lb range, slugs are a much surer bet Larger hogs have had time to develop the infamous shield that we so often hear about Enjoyed your vid Comment from : PAUL SIMPSON |
Hey MrSuite - I really thought the very best medicine for hogs is a knife & a fork !! Good show man !! Laters - Chuck from Kentucky Comment from : Charles Minnix |
Gasteracantha spider, greetings my friend Comment from : Rene Ramirez |
You said they you jerked first shot That was only one hit center If you watch video you will see you we're aiming low Raise point of aim and you would have had more on the steel Your videos are always very entertaining, glad I happened on them Enjoy what you do , keep on, please Comment from : Gregory Schaffer |
I hope slugs are next Comment from : Paul Chandler |
Ok know body said it so I will the pigs ate them They will even devour the bones in short order Comment from : 4440pvc |
You can increase your effective range with a specialty buckshot choke with the right load Kick's, Carlson's, and Comp-N-Choke all make great buckshot chokes I shoot a Kick's Buck Kicker X-Full and it hold's deadly patterns out to 50 yards Takes a little time to find the right load for the choke, but it's worth it in the end Thanks for the videos, keep them coming Comment from : ClintRushing |

Do you think a 416 rigby is ok? Ha ha ha Comment from : Gunnar Eriksen |
If you use buckshot you better aim for the head Sometimes buckshot will only partially penetrate the hump on large bore That's how tough it can be A family member found that out after butchering a 300 pound wild bore Buckshot was in the hump and the skin grew over it The hump on a large bore is like a shield Its tough as hell Comment from : lckgilmo43 |
Here in FL I've had good success using my Remington 870 with a cheap BSA red dot optic mounted on it I shoot standard 12ga 9 pellet 00 buck through an Improved cylinder bore at no more than 40 yards Comment from : Bob Rank |

Impressed by the number of comments you received on this video Struck a nerve with a bunch of folks Great job! A real shame what those critters are doing to your little slice of heaven Let us know what you decide to do about their eradication And if you need help, let me know As an aside, waiting for delivery of my latest lever gun acquisition, a Winchester (Uberti) Model 1873 in 357 Magnum Case color hardened, 245 inch octagon barrel Man, reloading supplies are very hard to find for this caliber Do you have one/done a video on it? As always, look forward to your next effort, next Tuesday! Comment from : Dogbone13 |
I have used buckshot on a few pigs and for shooting in the eastern thick forests it is the best medicine IMO More often than not I have encountered the pigs at close range and after the first shot they are scattering and accelerating rapidly That's where a buckshot pattern and a fast pump or semiauto shotgun is just the ticket for making multiple shots I usually used #4 buck Get more of those blue whistlers out there Comment from : John Gallagher |
George on a phone call to wife: "Houston, we have a problem" You definitely have a problem They are gonna destroy your pastures They love that tall wet soft pastures rootin for grubs Why aren't you using your 44 mag rifle and some of those loads you been testing? I've killed so many deer with buckshot that I don't have enough fingers and toes to count them all We were dog hunters in the 50s, 60s, and 70s 3" magnum #4 buck (27 pills) Loads of fun Comment from : EastTexan |
Wow , those pigs did some damage Hope you get more Comment from : James Pollard |
There have been plenty Bigfoot sightings in north west Louisiana, people that do sometimes are afraid to tell it , because nobody will believe it Comment from : superdavekc5vmq |
I like the setup, I have a green light on my Henry X just in case I run into any moose or bear up in Maine, luckily no pigs this far northyet Do the pigs react differently to white light as apposed to green light? Love the videos! Comment from : Jesse B |
A shotgun is as good as it gets for a do it all gun within range Nice job george! Comment from : big ben |
All 3 pigs missing? Seems like with that "soft soil" tracks of some type would be visible, coming or going Strange 😕? Comment from : Frank Pryor |
Make more bacon Those small hogs have very tender backcstaps and while the pork bellies aren’t real big you can have really good smoked slab bacon👍👍 Comment from : mike mccollum |
another good video George not much shooting of pigs in Wales however, polititians may be asking for some buckshot soon though :) Comment from : Mike Smith |
You hear comments from people saying you shouldn't shoot the pigs , it's just cruel I would like to hear whatbrthey would say if they got up and found a heard had gone through their city yard and flower gardens , and see if theybrstill feel that way Or if a pig killed their dog ,or cat Yes I have seen that same kind of UFO many times while walking brthrough the woods , up close , like on my face You can see my best ninja moves in fast motion when it happens But brthe worst ones are the big black and yellow ones , , , on your face lol Great video I still need to do one on my 870 rig brI'm still recovering from my back surgery and shooting the big stuff might not be too smart , but I haven't forgot And Ibrstill want to do one on my 1885 High Wall as well Have a great day my friend I think Viasat messed up and turned upbrmy internet a day too soon lol I was able to watch your whole video surprise , shock Have a good one Comment from : Spencer Boaz |
