I think there is value in a government backed currency because the government is actively going to go after and prosecute fakes You actually have the secret service to discourage faking US BU coins, what does X non government mint have? If you can get at basically the same price I think BU is best But if you can get at a much better deal, a generic round I think it good in terms of stacking a X amount to trade The average Joe when it's SHTF with hyper inflation isn't going to care whether it's an Austrian BU or if APMEX silver round, to them 1 oz of silver is going to be 1 oz of silver and trade as such as long as they believe both are equally real silver Comment from : Dan Brennan |

Silver bullion, is an awful investment Trying to sell it, is difficult, because its literally a physical asset Shipping fees, seller fees, reporting to the IRS, risk of buyer scams, and more Comment from : guy |

You said you don't "consider" the Scorpion coin as a "Bullion coin" Do you not know what a Bullion coin is? A bullion coin is one that is backed by a Government If it has the Queen on the Obverse, it is a Bullion Coin The reason to buy Bullion coins is just for that reason, because it is backed by a Government In future, if you want to sell you will have a much easier time than if you have generic rounds or bars I personally, avoid the generic and mostly buy Government-backed coins or those of low mintage or very collectable Bullion coins and bars Comment from : Dakiniwoman |

why pay AUD$ 45 for a SIlver coin with a spot price of AUD$ 32 and pay a High margin !? Yes very expensive and not worth it , one will have to wait a jump of 50 to make 50 cents profit , taking into account the margin on the sell price Better buy Silver BAR Comment from : Patrice Massa |

Help spread the word and love for silver!!brSilver run March 17th 2023!! Buy buy buy Comment from : Red Man |

It all depends on what the intent is If the person has the ability to run a resale operation, buy the low-mintage products that have the potential to be valuable in a year or two If you're holding silver to sell next time the spot price spikes, buy the absolute cheapest stuff you can -- when silver spiked in 1981, and again in 2011, premiums on collectables no longer existed, everything was bullion and a lot was melted down It didn't matter if you had a generic silver bar or if you had a super-awesome super-rare collectable, it was all sold at the same price Even morgan dollars were being melted for spot price in 1981 The biggest danger is seeing that something has already jumped higher in value and assume it will continue to jump even higher Comment from : A H |

Every online forum I've gone to says stacking silver isn't the best investment of your money compared to real investment avenues so I have to wonder what's the point of stacking to begin with besides it just being fun and shiny? Comment from : Zeth |

Excellent video Comment from : Veteran Metals |

"Bullion coin" is a misnomer brThe definition of bullion is UNCOINED silver/gold precious metals So, it is a conflict of terms to have an uncoined-coinbrbrReally, the difference is the past or current guaranteed value from the sovereign minting the coin A coin has value via the intrinsic PM but also the stamped valuebrbr Bullion does not (excluding numismatics)brbrSo, if we hypothetically ended up having a massive new supply of gold via space mining, making gold's value insignificant, the guaranteed government value would hold value on a coin However, gold bullion would make the bar/ingot worth that of a base metal with only purity and weightbrHere is a good example differentiating bullion and coins,brExecutive Order 6102: April 5, 1933, by US President Franklin D Roosevelt The order is "forbidding the hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States" brFDR differentiates gold coins and gold bullion No mention of 'bullion coins'brCheers and Merry Christmas! I agree, govt mint coins have crazy premiums Right now I will only but generic rounds if they are at a good price Comment from : John Studd |

Your vid popped up in my YT page Great explanation I agree it makes more sense to invest in semi-numis like lunars, kooks than straight up govt bullion coins Thanks for sharing Liked & Subbed 👍🏻👍🏻😊 Comment from : send2georgie |

The premiums are ridiculous right now I got 39 liberty v nickels and 47 barber quarters for less than the cost of 8 silver eagles today And they're worth more! I've been doing the same thing though, I'll buy large lots, pick out what I want, sell the rest for a profitrinse and repeat brbrI think the best way to collect coins is to have a strong weight in silver while also having a strong numismatic value If your coins are worth a lot numismatically, even if that market crashes, the silver content will save you If the silver market crashes all the way down to zero, the old quarters and other coins are still going to be worth money because of their age and rarity So I'm covered both ways I do still collect silver eagles when I can find them at a decent price though, I've got a weak spot for them Comment from : Nelson Family Coins and Silver |
do you know a website I can buy from ? in Canada ? Comment from : X |
I started stacking jewelry in 925 and lower karat scrap gold wedding bands and hoop earrings I'm paying under spot for total gold and total silver weight It holds the same value, little to no premiums, and nicer pieces can be resold brIts all stamped and recognized, and fractional You just gotta know how to convert the math Comment from : hawaiifiveohoh |
Sticking to 10 oz bars 💪🏽 also occasionally stacking some 90 Comment from : Joul Vaur |

Sucks for everyone who dont have any gold or silver when the cash goes to digital Most of the world are sheep and just follow orders from your daddy government Stack on apes Comment from : Jumpy 78 |

No, there's definitely a shortage No one has stock on anything Ask for silver at the lcs and get laughed at Maybe it's different in your area I started noticing about a month ago that inventory started shrinking with online dealers but my lcs had been complaining for a bit Kilo bars for me, I can still find those 150 over spotbrEdit I just noticed this video is 3 weeks old so I can see your point The market is much different from even a week ago now Comment from : Justin Taylor |
They are all bullion any coin 999 or bar 999 is considered bullion Comment from : gary burns |

I can respect that Comment from : Michael Williams |
I just get sick to my stomach when I think about how a generic silver round has a higher premium than fractional gold I know stackers will say we'll get some of it back but we're taking a bigger loss than the fraction of gold even Comment from : David Watson |
I stopped buying the American eagles as soon as they change the design Like you unfortunately, I have a collection to maintain so I have to buy one every year 👍 Comment from : Noicue |
Liked your logic I switched to 10 oz bars and collectibles for the same reason Enjoyed the video Keep them coming Comment from : oldone58 |

My LCS always had silver 90 rounds, bars the whole deal The past 2 weeks he's been struggling to get stuff I've actually took in some of my stuff so he could have something to sell Hopefully he able to restock like it was a month ago Comment from : handduggrave420 rdr2online |
I bought an ounce of silver a week and an ounce of gold a month from 1994 until 2005 I recently started stacking again and only buy generic bars No reason to pay even a penny more than you have to In a real SHTF scenario the only stack that matters will be your brass, lead, and powder Comment from : The Vegetable Soup Show |
Nice job! Very valuable information sir! I love low mintage precious metals Some people don't get how rare some of these can be My example would be my 1888 pr65 seated liberty quarter(832)mintage compared to the business strike that yr(10,001)mintage How crazy that under 11k all together less than ten years later the 1896s barber quarter nineteenX the mintage and some people put a higher price tag on that Thank you for the GREAT share! Stay safe! A WONDERFUL Wednesday to you and your whole family! Peace and Love from Kansas!!! Comment from : Ks Coins |

Silver is silver The value at the end of the days is the silver Do what you like with the fun stuff Comment from : Black Slacks |
If I was a silver stacker, I would concentrate on bars As for silver coins/rounds, I only have 14 ounces in limited releases So you know I'm not buying and flipping them Examples of my purchases have been the 2021 Royal Dutch Mint 2 ounce Official Restrike Scheepjesschelling silver round, the 2022 Germania 2 Ounce Valkyries Hildegard High Relief Antique Silver Round, the 2019 Pride of two nations (United States & Canada) 2 ounce silver round set and the 2019 5 ounce Apollo 11 round The bottom line is that I only want one representative coin/round instead of multiple ones Comment from : SteveTheFazeman |
I got to 1500 oz just from stacking coins I think the mentality changes at higher quantities Now I just want to get more ounces from low premium stuff such as bars Comment from : Maackia Amurensis |
I enjoyed this video, so I subscribed Now that premiums are super-high, i'm going for 10 ounce bars / the lowest premium i can find I totally get what you're saying though & it's working for you, so have fun!!! Comment from : JM Unleashed |

Not me!brThey look pretty cool in a treasure chest Comment from : Joey Boedeker |
I wonder if the “premium” for these smaller “run” coins has now gone up above the bullion coins to offset their “rarity”? Comment from : Dean Wells |
At the end of the day, silver is silver brIf a SHTF scenario should happen I'm not sure if you can buy more bread or lead cause you paid more for your coinsbrJust a thought Comment from : Jeff Meyers |
So spot price was 1800 just a few short days ago and you stopped buying even though the ratio was at one time 92 to 1 Comment from : mike m |
it's weird that they contain 20 dollars of silver and you can buy them for 34 dollars wtf, they are not coin for numismatics, they are bullions coins, they should related with silver Comment from : Aquila doro |
Thanks 🤗 Comment from : Trasie Inkersole |

if anything one should invest on is money market (USD Index) for short-term profitsbrAs far as FED is increasing interest rates to control inflation - commodity markets like copper, aluminium, gold, silver may not observe surprising rate hikes Comment from : exO897 |
