All of your numbers are missing two key factors The number of those tested per state, and the number of those who refused testing Let me help you out kiddobrbrArkansas: 6 tested, 2 positive, 11 refusalsbrKansas: 287 tested, 77 positive, 56 refusalsbrMississippi: 222 tested, 16 positive, refusals not recordedbrMissouri: 187 tested 23 positive, 321 refusalsbrNorth Carolina: 218 tested, 42 positive, 171 "missed" the testbrOklahoma: 1172 tested, 101 positive, refusals not trackedbrbrAs you can see, the real numbers are much more interesting, and prove there is real merit to conducting these tests Please, do more research than just using the first thing you find on google that supports your argument, before making videos There are a lot of people out there that will believe anything you say, simply because you're on you tube Comment from : NorthernWill |
welfare is neededi just had a kidney transplant but yeah no excuses ill get to work Comment from : Brett Wallander |

In my state you need to file a welfare claim to get food stamps so it's welfare And bI have used welfare money to buy drugs/b Narcotics, too Yes, I'm telling you the truth I've done it a number of times and I'll likely do it again So you're probably thinking I owe you an explanation After all, that's your tax money I agree I do owe you an explanationbrbrSee, it's taken a long time for me to get disability benefits I got denied twice and in that time I couldn't work so it was a struggle I'm lucky that my family has money so they help me out a little bit It should be noted that having wealthy relatives is not like people think it is If your family is rich that doesn't necessarily mean you get to see that money But luckily my father has been able to help me out for a while and he still gives me some cash to help me out But it's not enough The medication I need for my condition (the reason for the disability applications) is not terribly expensive but it's not cheap either and it adds up I have to pay about a hundred a month for the medication plus my doctor's visits which are not completely covered even on SSDI So I have, on multiple occasions, had to sell part of my food stamps for cash (50 cents on the dollar is the going rate, FYI) to get the meds I need Push comes to shove I can go a day or two without food But I need my medication everydaybrbrAnd my situation is far more common than you'd like to think If I weren't lucky enough to have a family situation where I can get some help I would need to resort to finding a doctor who would severely overprescribe me and I would need to sell my meds, some of which are narcotic painkillers as I mentioned, to get enough money to cover my food, rent, and medical costs When you're on government benefits you're living tight It's not luxurious I don't care if a few people are cheating Fine That always happens and I wish it didn't but it's not a significant problem If you're born disabled in this country you apparently deserve to be destitute because able-bodied and able-minded people would rather keep as much of their money as they can than letting someone like me, who never even had a chance to live a normal life, have anything even close to an acceptable quality of life One of my shoes just blew out on the side and I can't get new ones for at least another month Why? Because we think "That's not my problem and you don't deserve my money" That's the country we live in Look around Do you like what you see? If so, keep on keeping on but you've made it quite clear what kind of person you are Comment from : Hezekiah Ramirez |
What an ignorant approach and so much mis information or minimum skewing of the facts and repercussions Clearly not an objective opinion The fact that you admit to choosing to buy drugs with money received from people who are working says alot! Comment from : Tom Fulmer |
amen brother Comment from : Ricodagoat |
Suspicionless testing It is well known that people who have more money take more drugs because they can afford it or their friends can afford to get them high Comment from : jfsfrnd |
I would find it intriguing if the number of receptions declined welfare simply because of the drug testing issues Comment from : Carlos Vega |
Where did you find your figuresSnopes?brWelfare pays out much more than bany/b drug-testing program If you don't think so, get your head out of your a$$ and into books and newspapers Comment from : Jim T |
People like you put a smile on my face Love the part where you tell the politicians to fuck off and pee in a cup Keep up the good work Comment from : Michael Madness |
So how about an actual case reference here about all these so called conservative Republican racists Need I remind you what party spent the last 200 years championing segregation? Separate but equal? The Jim Crow mentality? It wasn't Republicans lynching colored men and women all that time I assure you Comment from : Jeff Legg |
Why call them welfare recipients when the displays said welfare applicants? Which means they weren't testing current welfare recipients? Comment from : Grammar Guru |

Conservatism in a nutshell: for me and mine, not thee and thine Comment from : Tim Jones |

Something is screwy in Oklahoma and Kansas, Missouri spent less than $9 per person for drug testing, Utah spent less than $7 while OK spent over $115 and Kansas spent over $140! Comment from : Brad Bourgeois |
Meanwhile, in Belgium, there is talk of giving every individual an income of €1,500 per month, regardless of the individual having a job, multiple jobs, or no job; a "unconditional basic-income" (I do not know how they can think of such a thing while Europe is in shambles, and the US economy is on the brink of collapse But, anyhow, I just thought I'd mention that) I think many more Americans should get to understand that the "The Republic of the United States of America" is no longer that but "The Corporation of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA" as soon as possible If more people, not just in the USA, but also abroad, realize the grand difference between the two, and that fact the US has been incorporated and is bno longer/b a Republic, the sooner The People can get the culprits out of office and write a new Constitution, or at the least reinstate the original Constitution Anyway, thank you for reading Comment from : ivoman7 |
as long as were being complete and total assholes by drug testing the poor can we go all the way and drug test wall street bankers, the politicians, the military, and the military industrial complex/arms dealers/private mercenaries Comment from : Robert Jordan |
Here's an idea Let's drug test wealthy bankers and politicians who take billions in tax payers' dollars and often live a lavish lifestyle I bet they get much better results Comment from : Bruce LeeRoy |
Now look ill be somewhat fair, if you're poor and you're buying very expensive drugs, you're not going to get out of the hole you're in, but yeah This bill does waste a shit ton of money though, probably more than the welfare money wasted on the few people who use it to buy drugs Look, using welfare to buy drugs IS a shit thing to do, but it doesn't merit this action being taken against it Comment from : Solanacia |
Ummma little clarification, please Kyle keeps saying "recipients" but the graphs say "applicants", hence the lower numbers Comment from : Ken Van Item |
"AARRR THE OTHER , their must be out to get us or something like that" HAHAHAHbrAwesome! Comment from : A Bright |
What about the people that didn't show up for the test? They lose their benefits till next time and the state didn't have to pay out For example they did it with Utah which is like number 43 on welfare (wish they would do it with Ohio, new York, or Cali for better results) They spent 32k, about 5,000 ppl were tested 12 failed while 250 didn't show up They saved 332k and spent 32k so they saved 300k based on the people that didn't show up I see were people are mad but if you can't afford to eat you should be doing anything Same with corporations drug test the CEOs if the company takes subsidies Gotta be constant with this stuff if their going to make it policy Comment from : Xander Dee |
So they think welfare is a waste of money so republicans want to waste more money on seeing if recipients are doing drugs - conservative logic Comment from : Ronin Dave |
How were the tests conducted? how were they supervised? what drugs did they test for? all of them? why are taking this at face value kyle? as if its not the easiest thing to pass a drug test while usingbrbri swear this show becomes a more liberal shitfest with every episode Comment from : YG |

So what exactly is this drug test for? Just Marijuana? I only know of tests that can identify only 1 drug at a time If so, why don't they test for all the other drugs Or do they? I'm ignorant as fuck Comment from : Dr Choobie |
I'd like to know the percentage of the rich and powerful who take government do drugs Comment from : cne08 |
If food stamps were only for whites, there would be no talk of cutting them And I think Kyle is missing it a little, what the issue for whites on assistance is really about being at the same level as minorities They are literally at the same economic level as the people they are racist against and it destroys their entire world view Comment from : Wassergekuhlt |
Kyle that was a genius rant on race I love it I live in small town pa and belive me a lot of small undeveloped minds around me People just don't look at themselves enough to find what's really wrong in their lives Comment from : aztec warrior |
I'm a welfare recipient in Canada I'm on it for severe pain and depression (suicidal, self-harm) I get drug tested every single time I see my family doctor Why? Because some of the prescription drugs I'm on are controlled (synthetic THC-free canniboids), and because the money is not mine, I have no problem whatsoever pissing in a cup once a month I've nothing to hide Being granted the privilege of financial support for my illness is more important to me than pissing in a cup However, my situation is differentbrbrPeople who are temporary unemployment are different The economy on both sides of this fucking border and more and more people need EI because of it To punish someone jobless just because they maybe have a shot of vodka or a joint is fucked What if you were using your own savings for that? FuckbrbrYes Drug test the fucking assholes on top I'm preeeeetty sure most of them are stoned from the bills they passbrbrGood editorial! :) Comment from : Tara L Blackmore |
Republicans hey we want to propose a bill that drug tests you oh I see 769 of republicans tested positive for meth (after the bill was passed) Comment from : Freddy JonesV2 |

Big fucking surprise, welfare recipients, getting a couple hundred dollars a month, cannot afford drugs And obviously this is a big fucking surprise to conservatives Comment from : Jared B |
Even if some people are so addicted that they are unable to find/keep a job, the government should still provide them with welfare, in addition to easy access to free, effective rehab programs It's a humane thing to do, if not simply a necessary means for preventing (potential) crimes committed by desperate individuals Comment from : Genuilon X |
Lazy druggies getting govt checks - sounds like Congress to me Comment from : TheDajamster |
Hawaii needs to drug test the people on welfare Comment from : emmz808 |
It's a civil rights issue to me It is invasive to the point of being rape Comment from : Zen Dean |
The good thing to know about low income individuals that tested positive for drugs is that we know now who to help even more! Any applicant in need of assistance should receive it due to our current economic disparity and the growing poverty in the US Comment from : Javimonotheism |
Dude, leave sources in the description, makes it easier not to call bullshit Comment from : Patient Robot |

That is an enormous margin of error Comment from : Charlie Holdsworth |
(con't #2)or that the people pushing for these tests were likely using cocaine, meth, or daily alcohol brBoth are great to think about! Comment from : ViolateTheMagistrate |
I don't know if the best part of this is the fact that many of those people tested positive for weed they were using for pain control while on disibility (con't) Comment from : ViolateTheMagistrate |
so if I tested positive for drugs would that mean my family would go without food and financial assistance ? Comment from : nelson 100 |

This is Republican`s real agenda bc they act like they are against government control, but really the Republican party is all about the 1 and the minion`s tht they pay offThis is another form of discrimination bc they feel like people who fail for drugs on welfare are lower classWhen really they are poor and have no job (Bc there is no job to get) Comment from : Athena |
