Well it’s more complex than get rid of donuts and fried foods People cope with different mechanisms and the vast majority of people I’ve ever known agree that coping with food is better than coping with drugs Depression hits EVERYBODY at some point and it’s extremely common to get depressed while going through puberty which explains why teens are facing more obesity combined with inactive lifestyle as result of societal pressures from shit like pedophiles and child traffickers making it too dangerous to let your kids out of your sightbrbrIt’s definitely doable to beat obesity as an individual but for a society to defeat it would take absolute starvation Because if you have little you’re naturally inclined to eat more If you’re depressed you are soothed momentarily by eating Salad doesn’t get the dopamine response that sugar does Anxiety drives overeating too These over eating habits drive more anxiety and more depression and it’s a difficult cycle to break out of

i think one thing that wasn't mentioned was that food is NOT easy to access in the US i agree with your point about fast food being too easy to obtain, but the issue isn't that food is too accessible, it isn't accessible enough in this town there were no markets shown, no fruits or vegetables nearby people are forced to make these terrible food decision because of where they live and how much they make it is literally all by design otherwise, great video
