I think, Chetan sir, money is important, but health and peace of mind are more valued these days I chased money through many different ways, but at the end, with my lost health and quality of life, I felt I didn't do as well as I thought But yes, tomorrow, if I am broke, I'll feel sad that I didn't have money to even pay for my essentials and that includes bills to maintain my failing health 🙃 otherwise all that you've said is valuable

Hi Chetan! I feel for a upper middle class family you need 2lakhs to 25 lakhs or so if you have all your assets in place as in a house, car, money put away for children education This will not take care for a decent marriage for both the children and retirement Medical insurance etc is a must as social security in our country is not in place Also people are living longer so one needs to cater to a little more

It's simple Buying a house worth Rs 50 lac gives you happiness Buying a 1 crore house will give more happiness Buying 2 cr house will give happiness but happiness level will not be increased that muchbrbrIt's simple remember your childhood days When you were gifted a cycle, video game or a cricket bat, how much happiness you felt Now even if you get a good car or good house, you will be happy but that happiness is not the same when you were childbrbrNow most of the people are not happy because of wealth They feel happy because they measure their happiness by showing their possessions like car, house etc which are costlier than others

I certainly agree with you It is like the utility function of wealth derived by Bernoulli called st Petersburg wager where after a point graph gets flatbut I would also add something to your view From my experience I have seen people making 18 20 lakh a year ( manager or sr Managers in corporate companies) face huge uncertainty in their jobs and not so happy with their jobs so even if someone makes good money but without job security can not be happy I think financial independence is what makes me happy I think soon people get repetitive money from investment portfolio to pursue their interest will make them more happy rather than chasing a job and being answerable to rude boss This is my personal opinion which can differ from yours thank you
