I have to admit I have a small amount of money in a Chase savings account It's not an investment, but is just there to keep my Chase banking relationships open in case I need them in the future Actually I never opened that savings with Chase It dates back to Great Western They were bought out by Washington Mutual When Washington Mutual went bankrupt, Chase got to pick up the ashes I earn a whopping 1 cent of interest per month How long will it take me to double my money? With a little patience, my 001 interest will be having me live like the rich and famous in no time :)

Vanguard has a Cash Plus account with a 425 yield It is by invite only at the moment They do have a better rate with their money market fund I choose Vanguard for cash No fees for the Cash Plus account 😀

Greed truly knows no boundaries! This is the main reason I don’t have a Dave Ramsey type or traditional emergency fund, I keep just about everything invested If I have an emergency I’ll cash out some of my taxable brokerage accounts (Meet Kevin style emergency fund)
