MakeitZUPER
Thanks for breaking down the numbers There were some quantities/weights missed or passed over, but this is close enough It did seem like the store prices were less from the ones that I could see I saw averages of around $5 per pound but I'm sure there were others that I missed Either way, I was planning on buying a half cow locally and this is a good estimate on what I would be paying and receiving Thanks again

Hey Pea,brbrBeautiful as always but, it seems you are losing your tan Please go to the beach again brbrI guess you love having lots of fun with the stuffed beaver joke Like the dog, I'll be excited to smell a beaver toobrbrLucy is a great videographerbrbrI prefer South Carolina's BBQ They emphasize in the flavor of the meat while other American BBQ styles just have bland meat soaked with a flavorful saucebrbrLove your videos Keep it up

Congrats, brbrThis is a great thing tp do I wish I could do the samebrbrI grew up eating animal organs and intestines You just need to lean how to cook them to your tastebrbrGrowing up, I use tp eat tongue like 3 times each month I have ate organs of cow, deer, chicken, ducks, etc Just need to rediscover the cooking skills of our grandparents No need to be grossed out or allow other people to influence on not eating itbrbrMy mom use to get liver steaks Cooked sauteed in a pan with onions The tongue was cooked sliced like a stew with carrots and potatoes Loved it over white ricebrbrI hope you achieve all your family goalsbrbrAt times during the weekend, I treat myself going to a restaurant and eat tripe soup with veggies and pork feet

Tamara R
OMG THAT IS A LOT!! I’m glad I looked this up lol 😂 I don’t need that much so… I’ll stick to cases of chicken My family of 3 eats maybe 5 roast, 10 ribeye, ground Turkey and beef, chicken and seafood yearly I’m SO glad I saw this!! I bought 5 cases of wings, 5 cases of leg quarters, two tubes of beef today That filled one 7 cubic freezer I got happy and thought about buying half a cow for my mother’s freezer NOPE not going to do it lol 😂 You have inspired me to pay close attention to how much beef we DO eat in a year That way I can judge if I can go half on a cow or smaller in the future with a family member
Comment from : Tamara R

Kim Fincher

My husband had skin cancer surgery and we were told he couldn't eat red meat because it would raise his blood pressure and cause his wound to bleed brWe heard We will not have red meat ever again We are respectfully 70 and 79 years of age brI felt it was vital to share what his surgeon told us
Comment from : Mae Gardnermills

John Gee
why do u people always have to give long winded speech making explanations difficult to understand instead of just getting to the physical price, expectiing ppl to understand hanging weight vs final weight i am totally confused
Comment from : John Gee

Kathy richardson
I bought a whole beef a few years ago and did not get half that much meat Your half portion was more meat that I had and it was very disappointing
Comment from : Kathy richardson

In winter, cows need grains Farmers can give them organic grains brbrWhat do they feed the cows in winter? brbrWe have been buying half a cow for 20 years from a local farmer Grass fed but with some grains in winter😊
Comment from : Eagle Arrow

James Blevins
Some of those cuts can be beaten at the store but there's other cuts that you cannot beat at the store
Comment from : James Blevins

James Blevins
You can't do that at a store some of those steaks are going for $14 a pound
Comment from : James Blevins

James Blevins
If you're using a cast iron skillet that beef Tallow would be good when fixing steaks or injecting that beef tallow into roasts
Comment from : James Blevins

James Blevins
When you get that tongue got to skin it before fixing that
Comment from : James Blevins

James Blevins
I hope you did not get I of round roast I don't think that's very good you might want to have that ground into hamburger
Comment from : James Blevins

James Blevins
And when you get a porterhouse steak that's two steaks in one
Comment from : James Blevins

Just The Mow
I don’t understand so do you cut the grass before it goes to seed to feed the stock (grain) just means seed so anytime the grass goes to seed before the animals eat it they are eating grain 🤔
Comment from : Just The Mow

Johnny Ripple
I’ve purchased two 1/2 shares from a local rancher Grass fed brI was considering a grass fed grain finished whole share next time brThe second half share was smaller…smaller cuts etc ended up being quite a bit less meat for the same price brReally notice how much more learn the total grass fed animal is Way smaller on some cuts (like brisket) than store bought

I grow out two a year and let friends buy them for 375 a pound complete I know I am not making money but it makes my beef free to me or close to it but like this time I bought a calf at the auction that did not get colostrum and it’s cost me 800 just to save him I would of been money in my pocket to let him die a calf but I can’t do that I’ve been grown beef for 7 years plans only lost one calf that was one that got hung up at birth and I didn’t catch it fast enough
