New sub! I’m in the VERY beginning stage of cash stuffing I purchased the small binder and the fancy envelopes for the more important billsmortgage, car payment, food, utilities and emergency funds Other smaller things I purchased just small plain paper envelopes, used a whole punch and out them in my little binder They fit perfect! All I have to say is this actually works perfectly I have one account that my check goes into which is Cash app I takeout half of my rent money and I put that in my checking and I put 100 or 150 into my savings and the rest I leave in my cash app for groceries or gas money and for my bills too I know exactly what I need to spend on those type of things Comment from : Perla Ortiz |

Hey ! I love your channel it’s so helpful and honestly it’s motivational to start doing this My question is how do you do all this on one income and specifically on my husbands income This might be an obvious answer but I was wondering if you know how to handle this when it’s just one income and it’s your husbands money not yours Comment from : bbyg21 |
I wanted to start doing cash spending but I am terrified of having all that money in my purse all that time, is this something other people worry about? Do they keep half of it at home in a safe and just 'top up' their wallet funds? Comment from : Queen Saru |

Excellent video I just started cash stuffing I'm not a month ahead as you suggested I will eventually get there This is really helping me It has only been one month but I can already see the difference My question is do you take out any funds that you have left over at the end of the month and put it towards your debt? Thank you Comment from : Tonya Reese |
How does this work for people who pay bills using a debit card? Comment from : kayla hood |
I started cash stuffing a few years ago when covid hit and wasn't making as much as I was before and haven't gone back! I found your channel about a year ago and it has taught me so much more about it and I love it even more and have gotten a lot better with it as well One thing I struggle with though is I don't like bringing my bulky cash binder with me everywhere and I have yet to find a wallet that I like to put more cash sleeves in where is yours from because I am absolutely in love with it!! Comment from : Samantha Caminati |
I like the idea of “feeling” spending the money with cash You answered a question I’ve always had I have a credit card I pay off every month and make a percent back on purchases usually 1-2 but if I’m paying in cash and spending 18 less it’s still a good decision I think I’m going to try this and see how it goes The only thing I’m worried about is losing the cash I literally never have any cash so it seems so risky because I am so forgetful Does anyone have any insight or has lost their cash walled? Comment from : waitingforspring317 |
Wow!!! What you are amazing in explaining this, ive watched tons of this cash envelope system video, but non of them explained it like what you did simple , true, real, prank and Hard hahabrWhat i mean hard is like you did not sugar coat it, like we need it coz it's either be broke or budget 2 hardest part of our lives 🤭 But thanks tho, now i have a clear intention of why i need to do this Not just for the trendbrbrThank you and keep being just real! You're really good in what you're doingbrI will start now! Comment from : Lauren Russel |
QUESTION: how do you start cash stuffing if you have USAA and don’t have a bank to put cash back into? i’ve thought about only cash stuffing for groceries and stuff i can buy in person but that also brings in the question on how to do spending and christmas and stuff that isn’t always bought in person brbri loved your video btw !!! so helpful ❤ Comment from : Adrianna Graulau |
Love your channel What would you recommend as a beginner side hustle? Comment from : Linda |
Hello! Please help me understand put small amounts of money in your wallet like $10 for take out I know your binder has more in it, and I know you have a big family So what do these small amounts of money serve in the Wallet? That’s the only part of this method that has me tripped up lol No matter what, I’m on board I just need clarification on what the purpose is putting small amounts of money in the wallet Comment from : Danielle Almond |
Hi Emily This video was awesome! I will definitely start cash stuffing I have a question: how did you deal with overspending on credit card? I have the same problem, and im not sure what to do Did you cancel your credit card? Thanks! Comment from : ivy 2300 |
Yes I always save only when I have cash… because I can feel it, touch it, see it So much easier to just put away and let it stack Versus a card I always swipe and never think about the consequences Comment from : Grace |

Hi Emily! So glad that you show your face and that you tell it like it is…some of us need tough love! Comment from : Zoe’s Eden |
The other downside to this system, is there is no potential to gain interest on your money So, because of inflation, keeping cash in envelopes, is actually losing you money, by decreasing buying power I use this system, because of ease of access, I hate banks I paid for my current vehicle, outright,by stashing money When you look at the stack of bills, it doesn't look that impressive Comment from : Robert Maxa |
New Subbie❤ I’m 3 mins in and I love how your breaking it down so far!! I loved when you said money management is 20 head knowledge and 80 behavior I started budgeting about 2 months ago and so far so good it gets hard at time because I’m not used to it but I’m doing better!! Okay back to finishing this video and watching your other ones soon after 😊 Comment from : Saquana Yon |
This isn't a new thing I've been "cash stuffing", for 30 years It's not a "hack", it's basic budgeting A caveat to this, is you have to have enough discipline to not raid your stash, when you want a little extra spending money I affectionately call it the "Tin can savings plan" Comment from : Robert Maxa |

I’ve done okay so far this month with building my budget, but I have slipped up with some purchases that I didn’t account for and kinda blew it with the 80—I think using cash envelopes for those items is something I have to do to keep that under control This video was super helpful! I think this month I’ll try cash stuffing some items and keep bills in my account and see how that helps me Comment from : albsmalbs |
Are you adding money to the envelopes to get them back to their original amount? Comment from : Unconventional_therapy |

Best thing I ever done was start cash envelopes My job is casual and so it made it hard to know if I could pay big things like car rego or insurance so I started small with those and evolved from there Now I cash stuff some of my husbands pay for him and he’s saving like there’s no tomorrow :) Comment from : ZoZo Bear |
Love your videos!! Comment from : Jessica Crockett |
I love your comment about the credit cards It is absolutely too easy to overspend with them! We find ourselves blowing the grocery budget because we can use the credit card We have never had to pay interest, and always pay them off before the billing cycle However those $20 charges/overages add up fast! Comment from : Alicia |
Emily great job!! Explaining everything!! Such a Informative Video!! Thank you Comment from : Ro’s Budget Life |

Really good, to the point but, thorough explanation! brbrI have the opposite problem…I can spend cash soooo easily and have no clue where it went 🥴brbrBut, now that there are all these pretty things for cash stuffing, I don’t want to spend…I want to stuff and save 😂 Comment from : MzAbstractMind |
Amazing ❤ video! Great job breaking everything down & explaining to others so it makes sense I already know all this as I’ve been budgeting for years and started cash stuffing last year… but I’m not good at explaining things sometimes/my words tend to fail me lol 😂 so that’s why I haven’t made videos like this explaining One day I’ll sit down and plan these type videos… but for now I’m trying to get our finances under control Comment from : LilRed Budgets |
This was a great explanation and made so much sense I’ll be cash stuffing for the second time with this week’s paycheck …still figuring out the categories I’ll keep adjusting and learning each week I figured it was better to jump in and pay with cash now rather than waiting until I had the “perfect” system Even my 10 and 13 year old boys are using envelopes! I’m just so tired of living paycheck to paycheck Thanks for being so encouraging! And I will dm you sometime…I’m in SE MN with the 5 boys ❤ Comment from : Kathy |
First of all I must say you are absolutely beautiful! Secondly thank you for breaking budgeting down now I am more knowledgeable I started budgeting in January and I am amazed how much money my husband and I have saved I think a lot of people when you say budget means they now can’t buy what they want to ( my husband thought he was a kid on an allowance 😂) But the truth is you can live comfortably and have those things you want I greatly appreciate you breaking everything down Thank you!👍🏻❤️ Comment from : Dawn Crawford |
Thank you so much for doing this Even though I have been doing the system for a while I still learned some thing As always, I love your videos! Comment from : Debi Persson |
