I started this new job this year and though it has brought me good money, I have had anxiety attacks and have been constantly stressed and drained I've always known that regular jobs weren't for me I have also received great opportunities to pursue my passions and make great money from them as well Enough is enough Time to take a leap of faith This video was so helpful Comment from : Zahava the artist |

To me, money is a tool I’ve worked so hard over the years to realize that if you don’t make money work for you, you can’t experience true freedom I’m glad I found that out although it was later in life, but that marked the turning point in my finance Comment from : Pam Harris |

It's not wise or logical to just up and quit your job without another source of solid income or at lease 3 to 6 months savings Because the bills and other expenses will continue to roll in faithfully and steadily Comment from : Willie Bernard Render IV |

I recently looked on Facebook on how some of my former coworkers are doing (a lot of good people), and I saw that one of the few people to retire there before the building shutdown had passed away - only got to enjoy 2ish years of retirement I worked there long enough to see a few unfortunately pass, all unfortunate in some way But the company just kept chugging along, and slowly I saw patterns in the building (ironic being that it was my job to report on patterns on employees), and I knew that not only did the company not care about us, but soon it would not be there When I told others of what I saw, at first I was told I was overreacting, but as signs started to become more apparent, I was less the town fool and more the chicken little being proven unfortunately right The endgame came when remote work became a must - I saw the numbers and as time went by there were less and less on MS Teams - my department downsized, and soon later we were all either let go or downshifted out of management and back to square-onebrbr10 years of service only to have it all go away, 10 years of people I grew to like only to have all of us valued by the company no more than a player looking at NPCs in a video game, 10 years for a resume that I can barely find work for the position I had, and now here I sit at home working for another company, taking calls I am miserable, hate my room, and I can't find any joy in anything - not videogames, hobbies, walking outside, and my general health has gone to shambles Sad part is, I am good at my job, my pay is good as are the benefits, but none of it matters to me I know I cannot do this for long, nor do I want this to be the entirety of my legacy, but maybe this is what I needed for the confidence boost to course-correct and take a chance on myself - this job I hate, videos like this, maybe it's a way of pointing the arrow somewhere better Thank you for the video, Chris - keep doing good Comment from : Surpreme |

I quit my job of 10 years after moving 6 months into a different position I planned, weighed out my options, and resigned with dignity telling my colleagues and family I'm taking a 6 month sabbatical Living with a high paid narc wife and 2 kids in private school, this decision had to be calculated thoughtfully Penny pinching has to be immediate and do not let your mind take a break for too long Have good conversations with good friends and watch how much smaller your world becomes as you get to know yourself Comment from : Krrish Krrishna |

A lot of young people think they live forever and are invincible A 30 yr old coworker of mine, she was a product manager, had a sudden brain aneurysm while driving in her car She was beautiful, slim and lived a healthy lifestyle No high blood pressure or any other risk factor The car didn't crash thankfully, but she had to undergo brain surgery and several months of rehab Not sure if she ever fully recovered, because I left the job Comment from : Rebecca A |

As of now in life I have a goal that I will reach within the next 3 years of working at my job I'm always showing up when others don't and it gets annoying to me that people get to call out and relax and I choose the route of "proving myself worthy" I've become overwhelm and now sick and I'm really wanting to work for myself and have been saving just no where close for start up cost How do you keep going even when You want to give up? I also quit my job I’m graduated in accountingI was working in a restaurant as an administrative assistant I was taking care of the invoices, cash, bank transactions But I was also the one doing all the menial tasks and it made me feel like shit Like i wasn’t exploding my full potential I was spending hours walking under the sun to go pay a bill or get a cheque They didn’t even give me money for transportation when i had to do these tasks And i know they have the money to hire someone to make deliveries and get the stuff they need but they just won’t do it I wasn’t getting anywhere and there wasn’t a higher position that i could’ve gotten in the future This was my third time giving my resignation but this time I made it very clear that I wasn’t gonna stay any longer So yeah, i quit with no backup plan Comment from : Any BA |

I quit my job without a backup plan after it got to a point where I was literally only working part time already going through my saving to pay bills since my daughter is always sick and dealing with my ex's work schedule Honestly I don't have no regrets I'm much happier and can be there for my daughter as well as able to take time to truly figure out what fulfills me Comment from : Tameka Busby |

Idk what to do, i quit my job at the post office because it fucking has made my life miserable, i dont know how im paying rent this month, and im beyond lost I havent even watched the video yet, i just thought i should say im scared Comment from : Alexander L |
|
Fear is one thing and I definitely understand that part But for me personally it's the money issue, I just don't have enough for a living till I die and that's just for food and shelter, not counting my hobbies and sudden expenses I would need a lot of money to sustain my current lifestyle and that's just a normal ordinary lifestyle, nothing special, no expensive dinners, cars, things to buy, etc I'm just a basic human and have some basic hobbies like cycling, PC gaming and a little traveling All I want is to live and not work till I die and be permitted to live a little once in a while, I as many others, absolutely hate that Comment from : Top |

Stop giving two weeks notice when you quit It’s not your responsibility to wait for the company to find your replacer When they fire you or lay you off, they don’t give you a two weeks notice and you have to leave that exact day and exact time they declare you’re fire or laid off Comment from : Mercedes Wilkins |
|
Don’t say you’re going to quit unless you actually mean it I know ppl who joke about quitting and eventually got fired before that happen That’s because they joke about it to their co-workers and bosses and one of the boss took it to heart and fire them the same day Comment from : Mercedes Wilkins |
|
Quit my job Monday of 2 years, without another one secured It's pretty nerve wrecking not knowing where your next check will come from, and having bills you know you'll need to pay But that job was so toxic, I couldn't stay even for one more day My dignity, my confidence, my psychological safety was all on the line Thanks for the video! I don’t disagree with what you are saying I think most of us would like to do more of what we want and not answer to some boss or corporation The reality is that we can’t all be a CEO Most of us need to have a job I think the key is saving and investing properly Platitudes are great, but life is a bitch, and sometimes you just have to do things you may not want to Comment from : S G |
|
Its funny how the universe is so big and there are more options out there that we can chase but we are holding on to this one thing thats making our life miserable, which is our job brbrI even spend more having this salary things i do not even needbrbrThis is the mentality that many of us needs to get away from Comment from : Maharlika Bebz |

Money is not everything and isn't going to make me happy if i can't have time to do things that i want to do Having a full time job takes so much of our lives and most of my days at work i just feel like im wasting away my precious time, every single day 8 hours a day (+ commute) Money comes back but time won't It really impacted me when you said "This is the youngest you will be" Comment from : Abdelraouf Tria |

My dream is to quit my job and set up a business and employee people to work for me while I spend time doing what I love Life is short I don't want to live it going to a job I hate, working for a manager I despise, and go home tired and burnt out all I want to do is eat, watch tv and go to bed Comment from : Ikky Eggal |
|
I just resigned without next job awaiting It’s one of those things where it makes sense to do (toxic culture, over-worked and under-appreciated) but takes a long to to come to this point Also no one around me has done this before Good luck for everyone who’s on the same boat! I think this was important for me to watch At 25, I'm quitting my first stable job (after about 8 months of working) It wasn't fulfilling, didn't push me out of my comfort zone and I never felt like I was growing This is the kind of honest conversations I kept having with myself as time passed brbrI don't really have a backup plan I'm looking for part time roles, internships, etc I'm also doing my Master's degree, but that's something I actually love! brbrI know I am scared and anxious, but I also know I'll make it Cheers! To be honest your freedom is way more precious than making other companies richbrAnd that's factsbrNot to mention mental health and for the most part most companies treat there employees terrible even though we are the reason for the company success just sayingbrAlso ask yourself do the people you work for actually care about your well being 🤷🏼♂️ Comment from : Graham Watson |

Here, laying in bed 2:47 am thinking about the drastic decision that I'm about to make in just a few hours by submitting my resignation I'm 31 and never quit a job The ones I'm no longer in were because of being laid off by the company brbrI made the bold move of moving on up to a higher position for better pay within the same company, and as I'm sitting in training for several weeks, I am miserable There are too many red flags pointing to be a toxic environment After almost feeling like I was having a heart attack just a few days ago , I decided that it is time for me to leave!! Don't want to spend a minute longer in a job that I'm miserable in Good luck to everyone who makes this very hard move ! Comment from : John John |
|
I have wanted to quit my Job for over 5 years now as it does not serve me and I feel like I am completely wasting my time and my life being there I am appreciative and grateful that I have a salary and can provide for myself but what good is that when mentally you're drained and depressed? My problem is that I allowed people's own fears and opinions to flood my judgement of this situation and this has kept me in the job till this day For anyone going through this same thing as myself, keep one thing in mind; don't let other peoples short comings, losses, mistakes and fears decrease the level of faith and confidence you have in yourself Ten people can quit their jobs cold turkey and have ten different outcomes I hope that when I come back to my comment I can add to it that I finally quit Comment from : Michelle Phillip |
|
People just have to understand this If you quit a job you hate with no plan, chances are you will end up at a job you hate again because you didn't think about how to afford living Comment from : kadekeqw |

I’m 27 years old, and work in tech I’ve done everything right I went to school, picked in an demand major and developed a skill set, had an internship, graduated college with honors and immediately entered the workforce after graduating at 22 I studied hard, got good grades, stayed out of trouble, did my best in my roles, showed up on time, worked overtime, made good money and saved it etcbrbrAnd 5 years later, there’s this massive emptiness inside that I struggle with everyday I think about my 12 year old self This isn’t me I’ve been doing what I thought was “the right thing to do” my whole life and I’m miserablebrbrThis is messed up, but some days I hope that my boss calls me unexpectedly and tells me I’m fired, because it would force me to take action and reassess my life But day after day, I stay in this position brbrMoney is important and I have a decent amount saved up for my age But I get sucked into the fear of not just losing my income and being unemployed, but also the stigma around thatbrbrPart of me would rather live in a box chasing what actually matters than continue down this path Comment from : NPC Avoider |
