I just bought the Hisense 75U7G but could've bought the TCL 75R635 for $100 more, did I make a mistake? Comment from : Gregg Myers |
Stopthefomo I have disagree with you I think the S546 has no business being in 4th place on your budget list first off brightness of this tv is not that good, it seems dim no matter what I did it doesn’t seems that bright the picture quality is fair not the best and Dolby HDR looks terrible the sound is bad and the built in Google OS is awful it’s so laggy that it almost not operational it takes forever to even get into the settings menu cause of how slow it is I would not recommend this tv the Hisense U6G buries this tv in every category and it should had been in 4th place on your budget tv rankings Comment from : NuttnButKongFu |

Torn between the X95J and the Samsung QN95A (QN90A) Both similarly priced so had a play with them at a local store and the motion using a 24p YouTube test was bad on the Samsung Thinking about going for the X95Jam I making the right choice for a non gaming tv in a brightish room?? Comment from : 5Rivers79 |
What the hell means "best movie tv" vs "king of movies tv's" Comment from : Montażownia nr1 |
Sorry but the C1 absolutely destroys the QN90A in HDR content Especially when you're talking about detail No, it might not be as bright as the Samsung but brightness isn't what defines HDR, especially if it has to give up the lower end of the spectrum in order to achieve that brightness Not to mention, LG supports Dolby Vision and the Samsung does not Comment from : ragtop63 |
is the Sony A80CJ at Costco the same as the A80J at Best Buy? Comment from : Minh Tran |

The last best TV I had was a Westinghouse 40inch, and it's apparently the last one because I found out they don't make those anymore The picture was great, but the highlight was the sound The bass was so good! Now that it broke I'm looking around and no TV has even come close to matching the quality in sound that Westinghouse has If you have any recommendations I'd greatly appreciate it Comment from : Ty_teynium |

What about hisense A6G? Comment from : Rob Cop |

Came from a 2015 Samsung to a tcl 5 series and I couldn’t believe the difference If you currently have an older tv (5+ years) and do not have a big budget the tcl 5 is a great option Comment from : J L |
Please start mentioning how much worse the LG Web OS is It really should be considered when buying a new TV The basic ESPN app and the basic Fox TV apps are not available on Web OS There are lots of sporting events like top 20 college basketball games that might not appear on normal TV broadcasts in fall because they occur during college football Saturday, etc That makes sense, but you need espn app if you want to watch them, The Fox app also offers football games in 4k without upcharges that YouTubeTV wants, etc This is why TVs with native android TV(like Sony)are superior for at least the OS and compatibility side For LG you have to try to stream from your phone, and I think stuff like the OS should be mentioned Comment from : Dan |

Would you consider the A 90J or the LG C1 (but I do NO gaming) Comment from : glllelkl |

Huge request Can we find out how much worse the 75" U7G with an IPS panel actually is vs the 65" VA? Is it actually THAT much worse? Or does the increase in screen size and additional zones help offset things? Comment from : needsmoreclipping |
I am waiting till CES (Jan 5th) to see if Sony will do anything meaningful with the gaming features and more backlight zones and hopefully deal with the MediaTek chip bottleneck Depending on what Sony shows at CES I'll either buy an X95J or its successor Comment from : Shadow Heart |

Panasonic ? 🤔 Comment from : Ouzala VanMeWe |
@StoptheFomo I finally got QN90A after watching so many of your detailed videos (sad x95j is not available here) I wanted to know what would be the best config to watch movies on this tv if i am using it as a monitor ?brIf i enable pc or game mode can video player on pc send HDR10+ data for proper HDR? or i should change input signal to something other than pc so TV unlocks movie/natural presets & hopefully will use HDR10+ things from pc signals ?brbrwhen using tv alone i liked movie and natural presets the most with few tweaks My goal is best or most accurate colors in movies & maybe in games as wel Comment from : tch1 |

Has the U8G had updates to help with blooming and other factors that pushes it below the R646 for you? Comment from : TC |
Have you even seen a Hisense 75U7G Fomo? Your flippant dismissal is what is unacceptable It has an excellent wide viewing angle (Hurray for IPS!) and the picture is great Whatever blooming/bleeding problems it has don't both me and all my friends who have seen it I watch with brightness and contrast close to the middle and it is certainly doesn't seem lacking in those areas And it supports all the HDR formats and eARC and has been reviewed quite favorably by gamers I am not one of that class but I believe them Look at the BestBuy reviews Comment from : Robert Risch |
How come in these reviews for the Budget-to-MidTier you choose to review the Sony X80J and not the Sony X85J ? Seems that the X85J always seems to get missed out :) Comment from : hogiela |
I am not sure if I missed it, but have you mentioned the rainbow issue with the Samsung QN90A? I purchased the 75” recently because I have a very bright room The anti-reflective screen works with indirect light, but any direct light causes a streak or multiple streaks across the screen Very disappointing for the price Comment from : Gregory Lightfoot |
I had bought a X90J for $1200 at Costco but ended up taking it back Found the X95J for $1399 at the Military Exchange store Comment from : Edgar Rosado |

I've been looking for a flagship TV's this year and haven't made up my mind I was looking at the Qn90A but I can understand why it drops under the Qn85A It's so bright and the blacks hold up when looking directly in front that it actually looks way better than the Qn90A It's actually sold out at Costco online and sold out at my local BestBuy The Qn 85A looks so good I'm actually considering getting it over the Sony A90J because money is not an issue I know this goes against all the reviews you guy have posted The problem is I only see it at the store in a limited exposure I'm confused because I don't know whether to trust my eyes or your reviews Comment from : carlcat |

Are these TVs just in America because I can’t buy the TCL 6 series in Ireland or maybe it’s under a different name Comment from : TheNightFox |

The 65in TCL R646 is back up to $1200 on Amazon Do you think they’re just boosting it so that during the Black Friday sales they can advertise as being a better deal and it will drop back down to $999? Comment from : Brayn Johnson |
Nice review What happened to Sony X85j I think you should have considered it since it has 2 hdmi 21 ports instead of using x80j Comment from : Myron Hayes |
