I always liked this movie I had to laugh when the man said, his grandfather was hit in the head by a foul ball hahah that happened to me at a Reds game when I was a kid they were playing the NY Mets a foul ball hit me so hard that my vision went TRIPLE Not even joking I saw 3 of everything after about 10 seconds it went to 2 views, and another 30 seconds finally back to one WOW It didnt even hurt, but the damn ball went off my head and up into the 2nd deck I had an imprint of the stitches from the ball on my head Comment from : KY Stars

In Ralph Rosenblum's book he recounts how when he was brought in, this film was in shambles to the point the producers were considering not releasing the film The original editor didn't understand Woody's sensibility Being Woody's first film, he didn't have the experience to put together sequences and abandoned many sequences once he saw they were not working In none of the many test screenings, did anyone ever laugh It was after the structure was retooled and many sequences tightened, and many abandoned sequenced readded that the film finally started to work to Woody's vision Very interesting history as if this film had failed, there probably would not be any other Woody filmsbrbrThe book is called "When the Shooting Stops" The last three chapters are about working on Woody's films Comment from : D F
