Nekita
Also I heard that you shouldn’t just give the car back because you’ll lose out on money I can’t remember what it’s called but you can get money at the end of your lease
Comment from : Nekita

Nekita
Question and I hope you see this, when you lease a car can you lease with a bank or does it have to be with the dealership? I know with financing you can come prepared with your own financing so you can avoid getting duped but is it the same with leasing?
Comment from : Nekita

Ayden R

My boy just update the year each year, great idea It's also for people who know you're wasting your money on anything aside from a toyota or Honda but can't afford to buy, so you can lease whatever you want

Lucas Plays
This is probably the best video I've seen that breaks down a lease, thank you for the information One question though how much does all this have to do with your credit score? I'm assuming it impacts the numbers since your financing the depreciation?
Comment from : Lucas Plays

Usman Khan
This video could have been much more concise Lost me 10 minutes in because of unnecessary sentences

Leasing a car should only be for the rich You will be about 300 to 500 a month for a car you cannot keep, vs buying a car to own payment may be around 300 if your credit is good

Leasehackr IS NOT the place to ask for RV, MF, and incentives unless you are a paid super supporter as it says in the first 2 replies in your screen shot You may come across the information, but it is not the place to ask for it Edmunds forum is the proper place to ask Please stop sending people to leasehackr for this info

I recently turned in my lease with 16k miles on it I had a 3 yr/36 mi and lease took on another lease at lease end Should I have been compensated for all those negative miles and if so how do I know I feel if I were to ask at that time they would have just told me they already did

SJS
What's a reasonable discount to MSRP (for capitalization cost) that one would negotiate on a "decent deal"? I am looking to understand what drop dead discount to MSRP I should be aiming for when speaking with sales teams at dealership? 5-10?
Comment from : SJS

loaded when up
I've spent so much money on maintenance on cars in my life I wish I could go back in time and switch to A lease
Comment from : loaded when up

Akadem1ikz
Very important question, my credit score isn’t amazing, somewhere around 650 You say 0 money down but would that be the same for someone in my case with my score? Or should I expect to put money down because of my score Basically, what’s the penalty of leasing with a score like that? Sorry if that’s confusing
Comment from : Akadem1ikz

46foryounger
Well after rewatching this over and over again, it is just a waste because I have 3 numbers and even after looking up the definitions on google I still am not clear The msrp, invoice price and seller's price Am I supposed to be taking 8 off the msrp for the seller;s price like you did in the video? If so, what was the point of getting the invoice price? (what the dealership paid the manufacter) You need to clarify this because you skipped the part because you said you already got the 30k number which is the MSRP but didn't say what to do with the invoice number argh back to square one
Comment from : 46foryounger

46foryounger
Trying to get this done on the calculator but still not sure about whether you used the 27k msrp or took 8 off that value
Comment from : 46foryounger

David
Great video Ryan I was shocked to see that we share the same last name! brbrAll the best to you!
Comment from : David

46foryounger
Are you taking 8 off the invoice msrp from Edmunds? Confused about that part Is the invoice MSRP what the dealer got the car for?
Comment from : 46foryounger

Fatelvis2
my mother leased a car long story short she didnt have insurance and had an accident what is her best option I think she should present the situation with the dealer and at least get an idea of how they want to deal with it
Comment from : Fatelvis2

Demarco Williams
Dude this has been so helpful and very impactful I’m in a sticky situation right now and some one recommended me to lease a car and when I start searching you came and broke everything down i will still take my time to make I have everything correct but the resources and information you gave was spot on and very understandable
Comment from : Demarco Williams

George Petrin
Watching this video got me to thinking about why you may have received such a tepid reception from your birth mother and a joyous reception from your birth father: after your mother placed you in the orphanage, she probably felt that was the end and believed she would never see you again; for your birth father having never been told of your existence, your existence not only was a big surprise for him but a miracle
Comment from : George Petrin

BOB WILSOM
Ryan, perhaps you can offer some assistance I have a very unusual situation (in the litigation arena, we would call this a "case of first impression")brbrSo here goes I took over a guy's lease in 2019 on a Chevy Equinox In Oct 2021, a driver ran a red light and crashed into my Equinox The other guy was totally at fault, without dispute His insurance company paid $17,700 to have my Equinox repaired My lease was extended once for 6 months, and is now terminal on 1-26-2023 GMFinancial quoted me a buyout of $19,500, price carved in stone they said (At this time GMFin doesn't know about the accident nor what it cost to repair the vehicle)brbrNow, I wouldn't buy this car for $19,500, and I don't think anyone that ran the vehicle's history would eitherbrbrWhat options/tactics do you think are available to me to get GMFin to practically give me this vehicle?brbrThanxbrBob
Comment from : BOB WILSOM

no longer in use
If you can negotiate yourself a good warranty, you won’t have to come out of pocket for any maintenance on a lease

I stopped this video halfway through because I wanted to know how the money factor was calculated brBased on a BMW dealer over $14000 was the money factor charged per month which equaled 20 brNo one should be paying a 20 interest rate on a lease

Have a 2019 Honda CR-V rental ($324 per month) with a residual value of $16,782, effective December 2022 The dealership would be willing to pay me $26,494 for the vehicle now (if I owned it) The CR-V has 24,500 miles on it Never had a problem Trying to decide whether to (1) purchase the vehicle and use it for a few more years, or (2) purchase it and immediately sell this vehicle and lease a 2022 CR-V (or a Toyota RAV4) The cash would be nice, but money is not tight What are your thoughts on this?

I've been putting down payments on my lease, is that a bad thing to have a lower monthly payment? Ex: 58k car, 4k down payment, 36mon 30k miles lease My monthly is $556/mon with normal wear and tear included in the montly cost
Comment from : Diana Saysitall

I just leased a car and now waiting for the Honda Civic to arrive Is it weird that the on the buyers order they can’t give me a full breakdown of what my 3k taxes and fees include? I had to pay a lease deposit of 1k first and they said that’s not a down payment is that right??
