why buy a punch for city usage the 3 cylinder engine require frequent gear shifting at traffic also the initial pickup is poor its not even good for highways again you will require frequent down shifting while over taking and for hills its poor ,a fully loaded car struggles in the hilly roads tata punch is indeed a safe car in terms of safety rating but the engine is a low profile for the car, poor fit finish, pathetic tata sales and service also there are several cases of rusting being reported by several users
