I have tried the stem and leaf in water with no success Last one I've had in fresh water changed every few days for almost two months I've seen other people do it so I know it works but not for me yet

How do I braid my tree? When I bought it, it had 5 braids but they all died except one in the middle and it's growing beautifully I'm about to prune it and grow the cuttings in water to get the roots started I've been afraid to remove the dead braids because they seem to be holding the healthy part of the plant So how do you suggest I proceed once the cuttings grow roots so I can braid them?
