The 103 and 79 is your IQ in those topics there is also something called a "g score" on that document, that is your total IQ If you retake the test now (bc you already got your AS) all three of those scores will be higher just because of experience and commitment to the field of science Some LD are due to testing anxiety and medications or therapy can reduce it over time That is one reason most schools ask you for updated diagnosis paperwork every few years because sometimes the LD diagnosis is not always permanent Comment from : Fon NX

I need a textbook as well You can read a mills and boon romance on the computer, but books that require deep thinking is not good for digital reading I work as an educational assistant, and I suggested that students with learning problems need pen and paper for math, but I do not represent the stock opinion, so I am ignored, and the students struggle when they have to do pen and paper evaluations Comment from : M Edwards Sealey

Got diagnosed with dyslexia too a couple weeks ago, and ADHD a year ago was already half way through my mech ing bachelor brHad failed half my classes, gotten top and bottom grades at rest (thx hyperfocus) brbrUsed to go to all the math classes, didn't understand anything and just make me more stressed taking Calculus 1 exam again in 2 weeks, think I will do well But only because I've studied alone, with Youtube, NOT the book I honestly CANNOT read it brI make piles of colored cards with exercises and explanations useful for myself that works wellbrbrStarting to the "disabilitys" as good potential to be a engineer, but everything is on hard mode, as have to find new ways to learn, as what the Uni is giving me, at least in math and physics does little to nothing for me Also written exams crap as I misunderstand questions brbrDAC, material science, construction, creative and practical classes are great brMath however I hope I pass so I can just be done with it, my brain hates manual-by-hand calculations like a plague I understand the conspets and graphs, but just the calculations are my own hell Comment from : Anirossa

I am on the same journey brI didn’t do any math throughout K-12 because of my behavioral issues, and I had to learn everything in college brI finally passed the first course of remedial math in my community college after three years of trying and failing Now I have a 97 in the second math course, and I will be taking College Algebra next semester!brI am working towards becoming a software engineer and obtain a Computer Science degree, so it’s going to be hard but it will be so worth it! Hey Leah, I was diagnosed with a learning disability when I was 8 I am 28 now, been going to college since 2009 I am currently a senior at my current University studying business, yup took me 10 years to get to this point Because of my disability, I've had to work twice as hard in order to receive mostly Bs I had to get an A in my Finance class (very hard class for most) in order to get into business school In order to do that, I had to only take 2 classes that semester, took out a loan in order to pay my rent for 4 months, and even requested to only work 2 days a week at my job I even had to put myself on a heavy Adderall treatment JUST to get an A in one class But you know what? I got the A, and I didn't even need the curve the professor gave us at the endbrbrbrAs someone with a learning disability, I've always had to prove to people that I'm not an incompetent idiot I once had a high school teacher call me a fool in front of my entire class as she handed me my D at the end of the semester I've also had college professors treat me like I was trying to abuse extended time to milk the system But when I get 3 whole hours to take a test, I honestly use the entire time, when I don't receive that accommodation, I can't even finish the test despite that fact that I KNOW the answers I was able to get through University by having a very supportive group of friends in my current university that are also in my college's business program brbrbrLeah, let me give you some statistics; people with learning disabilities only have a 16 chance of graduating from college When I study for an exam I need to study for at least 4 to 5 days straight And to prep the material to study ie notes and flashcards, it takes me about 2 whole weeks to prep I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone I know it might be hard sometimes when you overhear people bragging about how they got an A on an exam and they barely studied for it But I just want to tell you that just because you have a learning disability doesn't make you inferior Keep pushing towards your goal, I believe in you Love Dan <3 Comment from : Dan Munhoz
