To obtain financial freedom, one needs to be a business owner, an investor or both generating passive income particularly on a monthly basis Thank to Mrs Louise O'Brien for helping me achieve this Comment from : Desaree Gress |

Dividends are a great thing, but they’re only really effective for passive income when you either have somewheres over 20 to 25 thousand shares of a high yielding stock Meaning you likely need to have a few hundred thousand if not more invested in it Re-investing dividends back into the same stock certainly does snowball with compound interest, but you only really start seeing it after 20 years of never stopping and likely needing to add additional money of your own with it…so it’ll be time consuming and costly The way I see it if you have a million dollars at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50 to 70 thousand in dividend income Comment from : Forest Marcarthur |

I really get sick of him apologizing for being successful He has provided income, homes, medical care, and education for hundreds of thousands of people, but idiot Democrats try to make him feel guilty because because he is successful, and he falls for it He,brElon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and many others have provided far more food and medical care to people than any charitable organization They get demonized while people continue sending their money charities that use 75 of it for corporate housing, bonuses, and other infrastructure that has nothing to do with helping less fortunate people Comment from : Tim |

The part where you spoke about healthy risk and patience really stuck with me, I already own shares of Tattooed Chefs and Kairos Minerals, and I'll buy some Corsair as well Sure, I don't mind having these equities sit around for a few years, but I'd also like to appreciate short-term profitable investments that could, say, turn $100K into $250K Comment from : Stanley Edwin |
|

Buffet's only success was buying Berkshire at a time when the market was sideways with its dividends for yearsbrand being able to use Berkshire's capital to buy other companiesbrtoday this is not possible stocks go up faster than dividends, so you can never buy a company because its capitalization will go up faster than your dividend accumulation Comment from : dura cell |

Why is compound interest used as a concept with stock ownership Compound interest implies continual growth of interest added to principle Whereas, stock values go up and down? If you wanna be successful, you must take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others In addition to making you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life Comment from : Sir Moritz O Schulte |

The title of the video doesn't match Buffet's comments here Dividends are a distraction Focus should be on total return, which factors in both dividends paid and share price If you automatically reinvest your dividends in the company anyway, you'd also be better off if they never paid you the dividend Comment from : Hyperpandas |
