I liked the holiday inn near disney springs, its a good neighbor hotel and when we were there for the wedding tours Disney was doing they held our bags after check out until we were off to our next hotel Very friendly and clean!

On the topic of souvenirs, a few years ago we created and printed out "Orlandough" for our children that they could use to cash-in on merch either before or during our trip This made it easy for us to budget as it set clear expectations on how much they could spend, while also making it fun for them since they felt in control within that limitbrbrWe also used to use the Disney Chase credit card, but have found that (unless you spend A LOT on Disney) you'll come out ahead by simply using cards with better overall rewards Other cards offer higher and more flexible rewards tiers (eg, 3 vs 1) that can be used anywhere, of which you can put aside for Disney specifically if you wish

Chase Disney credit card I put everything on my card and pay it off at the end of the month Disney reward points work like cash My family typically goes to Disney World every other year We purchade 4 day tickets for our entire family, use our Disney Rewards card and have not paid cash in >10years We've also used our remaining points towards character dinners, too

Hi there, I understand you founded cheaper travel in Disney world history, there are other ways of cheaper travel by travel hacking, which are known for a helpful way of travel by useing miles to make flights for free By Airbnb, you can pay miles for vacation rantels to make your stay for free That’s my advice for traveling to Disney world

I just wanna say, Mears Connect is AWESOME I missed our morning bus heading back to the airport by literally 30 seconds I was able to contact support, and with such kindness and understanding, they sent a van to pick us up within 20 minutes So grateful

I also put money on two gift cards in advance One card for parking at the parks for all of the tickets I have The other card is for restaurants and or souvenirs I pay for that in cards far in advance so I don't have to plan that out that expense too much

I plan for pit stops to and from I use booking to book hotels months out After that I use the booking app on my phone to change dates on my bookings But here's the catch, don't change the actual dates but just click on "check availability" for the same dates you have it for If the price is higher or the same back out, but if the price is lower click on change dates and you'll snag a cheaper room for the same dates I've saved over $60 between three hotels since I booked them two months ago

Hi, you can also find great Disney merchandise at Target I bought a Toy Story toddler tshirt for $7 that old have cost me twice as much in the parks They have toys too, so check them out before your trip if you might want Disney themed merchandise

We took our kids to Disney back in the late 1990s We drove there, stayed at a great hotel just outside the park We brought snacks and juice boxes and a backpack from home The hotel had ice of course and we would bring our own snacks each day with the drinks in ziplock bags with ice in them to stay cold We saved a lot of money not buying snacks at the park (They may not allow this anymore} Each of our children made an autograph book for the characters to sign This saved money from buying the books at the park With the money we saved we saw everything, spent more days than most would and had a fantastic time

We are getting ready to embark on our second trip to Disney World in a couple weeks Tickets for 6 for Disney around $1000 for 2 days, Orlando studios $300 (Husband gets 4 free tickets from his job)(1 day), and Staying at the Drury Inn (staying in a 2 bed suite) approx $950 with advance purchase paid in full Drury has free breakfast and evening snack that is more like a dinner with 2 alcoholic beverages if your into that We drove last year and the gas was less than $1000 driving from Colorado to Florida and back We usually bring snacks and refillable water bottles but still purchase food/snacks for lunch

The last time we drove to Orlando it took 24 hours and we didn't stop Terrible decision for us with a 2 and 4 year old! I don't mind driving but next time we will be taking two (or more) days to get there and just add fun stops along the way We recently did this with a trip to North Carolina Normally a 13 hour drive and we spread it over 3 days had fun planned stops along the way

I drive straight through from Kansas City, a 19 hour endurance test I stay a couple of weeks at timeshares, that cost $150 per week And I have an Annual Pass, that I use 6-7 weeks per year I spend 4-6 hours at Parks per day and rarely eat there I get free parking because of the AP And I shop for merchandise at the Disney Character Warehouse Outlets while there, or have personal shoppers shop for me and hold onto merchandise until on of my visits Unless you live in Orlando, I don’t think that you can do it any cheaper than that

Back in 2016, my ex and the kids went to all the free stuff, without going to any of the parksfor example, we went to Fort Wilderness where they had s’mores and hot dogs over a fire pit while Chip ‘n Dale put on a dinner show (they had concessions too)

Cheap for me is: Buying plane fare far in advance Since I am a disabled military veteran I purchase a 5 day Park Hopper ticket for around $300 (neither my disabled daughter or I ride but about 3 rides total across all 4 parks because of our disabilities but we love to do other things), and we either stay at Shades of Green (a deluxe hotel that was given by Walt Disney to the military and is located across from the Polynesian and that has its own transportation to the theme parks) or a good neighbor hotel (usually the Holiday Inn since they have really nice disabled rooms) Free souvenirs are stickers given by cast members, the theme park maps and booklets (Food and Wine), and the menu cards from restaurants (especially Gideons Bakehouse) Taking our own pictures are a must We limit souvenirs to what can be brought back in our backpack (which is all we travel with be it 7 days or a month (Yes we wash them) And the biggest savings is eating kids meals which is more than we can eat as Disney gives large portions

Check out the Disney outlet on International drive It is all Disney Parks branded merchandise that sometimes goes as low as 80 off I've seen Minnie ears as low as $499 Every month is a different variety of merchandise that didn't sell well or overstocked at the park

We did check out some good neighbor hotels for our next visit and did notice that some charge daily resort fees, so be mindful to calculate that in to see if you still save money

One thing I did was fly Allegiant into the Orlando Stanford airport I had to pay 100 dollars in ground transit and it was an hour drive but I only pay 80 dollars for the plane tickets round trip and still can be a good way to still save money and time

When our kiddos were little we would give them $10 a day to spend (in Disney Dollars) If we were there for 4 days they would get $40 They could spend it all in one day or spread it out but it made them really stop and think if that souvenir was worth them spending their money not moms and dads money but their money We would buy a Mickey ice cream for them each day and they had to buy any other snacks or souvenirs they wanted with their Disney Dollars It really worked great!

I know this is old, but my mom travels a lot and uses airbnb all the time, and her main rule is that she only rents from people who have multiple rentals, I forget what they call it on airbnb, but it's like a pro renter or something like that She always tells me to do that, because those people aren't renting out a place that they live in, it's basically just a full time airbnb rental, so its literally the person's job Usually it's set up similarly to a long term hotel, where there's some pots and pans, and a few plates and glasses, and thats kinda it But my mom has had some real bad stories about places she rented that weren't the pro renters or whatever they're called I've also heard a lot of horror stories(especially from other women) about private renters on airbnb and other sites, so I personally would just never rent from someone who's not a pro

I feel so bad that I went to Disney as a kid so much My mom took us on a Disney cruise, and we've gone to Disney World atleast 5 times, and im Alaskan From Juneau, specifically, which has no roads in/out, so we always had to fly Not to mention she always got us whatever food we wanted and we would always get a souvenir each(my bro and i), and my mom never complained brNow that I'm an adult, I'm shocked how much she spent on us so much I've been disabled/on disability for almost all of my adult life, so I just cant even imagine doing all that she did🤯🙌

I'd like to note that the Sunshine Flier service doesn't run 24 hours a day so if your flight is delayed, you might be stranded We had a real flight issue on our recent Disney trip and our flight was delayed three hours No problem with Mears Especially since they were the same price

Chase offers a Disney Debit card You get the same offers that credit card holders do Free dining in 2019 for 7 people because of a debit card and I only used the debit card for the $200 deposit I used a cc with 3 cash back on travel expenses I used southwest points for the flight It wasn't many points because the flight roundtrip was $100 per person We were lucky

A tip I have done with past disney trips, is that I bring a lot of my own snacks, for both the hotel room as well as the park I even bring food I can eat for breakfast, like a box of cereal that I always eat Helps save a lot for the overall trip, being able to cut down on a meal a day
