About gambling While the definition seems to be a bit subjective, we tend to think of gamblers as degenerates who are doomed to lose But that is an image issue and not at all correct in all cases For many, myself included, gambling for a living has far LESS risk than a regular job When you handle your business correctly, you risk of going broke is at or below 01 The only real problem I face now if finding good plays I have found a few plays that were too big for my bankroll I had to leave them alone This is, however, rare, because I have built up over the course of 20 years, a bankroll that can make some pretty large bets and be in no danger Few day jobs and few investments offer that level of safety For those who truly tow the line when it comes to being sure they have an edge and sticking to stakes that fit their bankroll, gambling is still gambling, but in a very real sense, it is just investing, In fact, investing in a stock is FAR more of a gamble than gambling

66 v AQ was the VERY BEST CASE It's the definition of a poor play Use some shal The long delaying big blind, I'd have put him on 7s or 8s, potentially and the button on AK, depending on If there's a 1/8th chance each player has 7s or better, let's call that 125 each (probably a modest estimate), more than 1 of 3 So (20*37 + 53*63) That gives you around 35 rounding, with little fold equity vs 3 players He knew it was a bad play but wanted the feeling of potentially stacking up big The k9 shove seems to have been admittedly pure emotion That's a huge part of tourneys like that, boredom creates the feeling that you should do something, you say I've been card dead so k9 looks great and foolishly shove

This shit made me cry lol I got into it late 2004 I’ve been in Las Vegas for 5 years now and kinda turned my back on why I came out here And while I don’t wanna be the best at the game, I do wanna be a world champion one day I got into it for the sustainability, the extra source of income it brought into my life and the therapy it can bring into ones life Like teaching you discipline in the form of patience, observance, maintaining mental maturity Last summer was difficult My wsop BR went to bad habits, stopped coaching, therapy and training But I had money A recipe for disaster at times Lol You can tell by my comment I’m lonely in this fact that I want to speak out about what this shit means to me

I became friends with Stan after college and remember him playing everyday online thinking what the hell is this kid gonna do in ten years He grinded it out, moved to Costa Rica, is killing it in Vegas and is more successful than I would have imagined ten years ago or soi've always admired that kids determination and mentality of grinding it out
