Yes, pinterest and social media marketing drives crazy expectations But had to laugh since George had a camel at their wedding Fun and memorable but marriage is more important than one day wedding Comment from : Carla Ritchie |

I got married in 2021 for $4100 total Including my dress lol We were not going in to debt as we started our marriage Comment from : Avie Bee |
|
my engagement ring was $137 when I was a college student and he had graduated and was looking for work I told my husband I didn't want a diamond ring but rather something more thick and elegant (any decorative metal based based ring was fine) My ring has some sapphires and is silver based I wear it even today 11 years later, though most people wouldn't recognize it as an engagement ring Our wedding rings were silver rings at $95 each Comment from : Mary Angelica |

Gwtting married in about a week Cost me just over $30k all involved to have a nice wedding in our yard 😂😂 paid for in cash, took about 3 months the save up and pay for everything My fiance and i are 25 and excited to start our new lives together 😁😁 Comment from : Dayton Wintle |

I had silk flowers which doubled as gifts for mothers I’m a wedding stationery designer which some people might be well the invite will be thrown away… but without the invite there are no guests and people keep my invites because they are so pretty! Comment from : What Poppie Did |
|
My husband inadvertently lost my rings when I became allergic to them so I’m glad he didn’t spend thousands! They disappeared when he moved them while decorating for Christmas so now I just have my eternity ring which he bought to replace them it cost £200 and I love it Comment from : What Poppie Did |

Just dropping in to say my first job was at Schlotzsky's Deli, so I have an appreciation for their sandwiches too Rachel!brAlso wanted to mention that as a way to keep costs low at our wedding, and due to my love for Chick-fil-A, our reception dinner was buffet style - Chicken nuggets, fruit salad, garden salad, sweet tea, and lemonade - all from Chick-fil-A While I loved it, I still to this day (almost 11 years later) get flack for it from my husband's family who place a high value on being well-fed 😂 They will never forget! Be sure to consider what is important to your spouse's family when choosing where to cut corners on your wedding! Comment from : cherylgraves19 |

I don't think too many men fantasize about a big elaborate expensive weddingbr It's usually a young women's dream brFrom going through being married and the full circle of divorce brJust my opinion brI'll never get married again I'm not jaded EtcbrJust older and focused on my career, my gym time, and young adult kid I couldn't imagine trying to cultivate a marriage on top of that brYou could have the best partner in the world, you still need to work on it brNo thanks 😚🤌 Comment from : crow |

My late husband and I were broke and it was a second marriage I had received a cubic zirconium in the mail from Lindenwold Jewelers (they hoped I'd send it back so I could pay them to set it) and I had a neighbor who had a family connection in jewelry I paid ( my fiance was more broke than I) $100 for my engagement and wedding ring combined I got an off the rack gown for $7500 at the David's bridal outlet A couple of teen boys from our synagogue did the music for free and another friend took pictures for free and we bought a drugstore photo album to put the pics into And for the rental of a synagogue basement and the catering (on paper plates) and my bouquet we paid about $2000 Our friends said it was the most beautiful wedding they'd seen Comment from : Debbie Fried |

I worked extra to make sure we could cash flow the part we were responsible for All the money we got as gifts helped as well All the gifts left over we used as a down payment for a house! The best thing is the wedding website for the cash gifts that come during the process of planning and get deposited into your account every week (or two) which helps pay for the wedding! Comment from : Taylor Hanttula |

My $900 1ct engagement ring is from Etsy and I love it Moissanite looks just like diamond and is so much cheaper and you don’t have to worry about the grading of the stone Comment from : Kristen Pierce |

RE: who owns the ring if the engagement is broken off, you have to research the laws in your State In some states the ring is considered a gift and the woman gets to keep it In others, it's considered part of an engagement contract and the man owns it if the contract is broken Comment from : Samuel Rosen |
|
9:20 this is the most accurate thing George has ever said 150 true When I proposed to my wife, I stumbled and didn’t plan what to say and was super stressed to execute it Keep in mind I wasnt worried at all about getting rejected Comment from : Arlen Balagot |

|
We spent just under $30k on our wedding here in LA- one tip, in summer outdoors have heavy apps instead of sit down dinner Saved us a ton We did honeyfund instead of a registry and paid for all our honeymoon and covered some wedding costs too Paid for everything in cash, set a budget ahead of time, and we feel like the first few months of our marriage have been great with budgeting since we set the stage together wedding planning! Comment from : JohnStorie |

Omg loved this episode I really made the right decisions when I went through the wedding process 3 years ago When I got engaged, I purchased a engagement ring +wedding band for her at about $2200 COVID struck during the venue hunting and stuff Original venue was going to run $18k just the venue and their amenities COVID showed that roll and ended up doing it in front of our current residence and (I don’t have the exact numbers) but we definitely did not spend $18k for the entire wedding (food, drinks, decor, hotel suite, photographer) Videographer was our family member streaming on FB live Two years later, able to attack our debts and enjoy life on a good track Comment from : Jonathan Ejiogu |
|
I've been to Schlotzskys! I just can't spell it without googling it 😄 Comment from : AragornDude |

Weddings are a waste of $ Unless a father pays for it, do not spend more than u are comfortable with An investment is better than a wedding 60 of marriages fail within 5 yrs and what happens with the wedding expense??! At least the investment can be split in half and each party gets $ Comment from : The Foreigner in America |
