Just dropping in to say my first job was at Schlotzsky's Deli, so I have an appreciation for their sandwiches too Rachel!brAlso wanted to mention that as a way to keep costs low at our wedding, and due to my love for Chick-fil-A, our reception dinner was buffet style - Chicken nuggets, fruit salad, garden salad, sweet tea, and lemonade - all from Chick-fil-A While I loved it, I still to this day (almost 11 years later) get flack for it from my husband's family who place a high value on being well-fed 😂 They will never forget! My late husband and I were broke and it was a second marriage I had received a cubic zirconium in the mail from Lindenwold Jewelers (they hoped I'd send it back so I could pay them to set it) and I had a neighbor who had a family connection in jewelry I paid ( my fiance was more broke than I) $100 for my engagement and wedding ring combined I got an off the rack gown for $7500 at the David's bridal outlet A couple of teen boys from our synagogue did the music for free and another friend took pictures for free and we bought a drugstore photo album to put the pics into And for the rental of a synagogue basement and the catering (on paper plates) and my bouquet we paid about $2000 Our friends said it was the most beautiful wedding they'd seen Comment from : Debbie Fried |

I worked extra to make sure we could cash flow the part we were responsible for All the money we got as gifts helped as well All the gifts left over we used as a down payment for a house! The best thing is the wedding website for the cash gifts that come during the process of planning and get deposited into your account every week (or two) which helps pay for the wedding! We spent just under $30k on our wedding here in LA- one tip, in summer outdoors have heavy apps instead of sit down dinner Saved us a ton We did honeyfund instead of a registry and paid for all our honeymoon and covered some wedding costs too Paid for everything in cash, set a budget ahead of time, and we feel like the first few months of our marriage have been great with budgeting since we set the stage together wedding planning! Omg loved this episode I really made the right decisions when I went through the wedding process 3 years ago When I got engaged, I purchased a engagement ring +wedding band for her at about $2200 COVID struck during the venue hunting and stuff Original venue was going to run $18k just the venue and their amenities COVID showed that roll and ended up doing it in front of our current residence and (I don’t have the exact numbers) but we definitely did not spend $18k for the entire wedding (food, drinks, decor, hotel suite, photographer) Videographer was our family member streaming on FB live Two years later, able to attack our debts and enjoy life on a good track Comment from : Jonathan Ejiogu |
