So, I get that ordering/purchasing souvenirs ahead of time could be good if you have really little kids (I'd have a stash hidden away in a separate suitcase and every morning be like "Look what Tinkerbell brought you!" if I had kids), but to do it for yourself feels like it defeats the purpose of souvenirs Set a souvenir budget and stick to it (by using gift cards, for example) Just my opinion on it

I look on ebay for DVC gems last 2 times, i was able to stay at AK lodge for super cheap They are much harder to find now though but i keep looking

We buy gift cards at a grocery store(giant eagle) They give gas points for each $50 spent, so getting 2000-2500 in cards will get 2-3 tanks of gas, 30 gal max so we take 5 gal and fill up Also, check ebay for disney dvc room a week at OKW for 1000-1200

Stay off site You'll save a lot of money, and possibly get more for your money depending on what you like We always rent a condo 3 bedroom, 2 bath, with washer and dryer, and a private pool Just means a slightly longer drive to the parks

DFB--you guys are so great at giving us DisNerds the best info, latest news, helpful hints, and ways that we can get more value out of our Disney vacay It always bothers me when people (who haven't seen DFB) talk about saving a relatively small amount money that will cost them much entertainment value in the long run Best money I ever spent at WDW was $19 for a Mickey Bubble Wand that entertained our 2-year-old grandson (and all of the surrounding kids of all ages) for over an hour waiting for the Happily Ever After fireworks The value of that toy is so much greater than its' cost Years later, he still loves when we get it out for special occasions Overpriced? Absolutely! Value? Priceless!

Are there disposable gift credit cards I can use if I wish to put more than $500 on one? I intend to use my debit card for funding my rental car, ATM withdrawals and miscellaneous, but I require a disposable gift credit card that I can put my own money on for larger expenses like round trip plane ticket, a 12 day stay at a off grounds resort and admission tickets for the theme parks of my choosing Any ideas are welcome and thanks again!

Depending on the number of days you're staying, one hack that could save you a few bucks is getting a ticket to a hard ticket event at Magic Kingdom You can get into the Magic Kingdom at 4pm even though most events don't start until 7pm If staying off site, make a dining reservation at one of the restaurants around the monorailwhen dining you get to park their for free brbrbrYou get two benefits with this hack, you get access to the park with less people for more rides and you can also save a few dollars off of your park ticket by getting less days

I bought WDW tickets from Sam's Club last week and saved a few bucks Be aware that when doing a head-to-head (or window-to-window) comparison with ticket prices direct from Disney, Sam's does not show the sales tax until you proceed to check out while Disney shows it up front I saved money on my tickets, but not as much as I was expecting when I made the decision to buy from Sam's Club

Amazon prime helped a lot when we rented dvc last year Made akl very affordable and actually cheaper than staying in a moderate Akl however lost our food and it took until day 2 in the evening before they found it

But AJ the aply a hotel discount to youre existing booking does not work I tried to do that when a 15 percent discount surfaced and they said no The only option was to book a new hotell at the current list price and tvis close to my trip there was no room for less than the double I paidbrbrI had some hopes to get some extra park dollars to use on my trip but nope I do not know if I were terrible unlucky but it felt a bit sad Johan
