I, too, am a self-published author on Amazon, and I can tell you that making $5,000 per month is highly unlikely, let alone $50,000 This man's experience is an bEXTREME/b anomaly, made even more extreme by the fact that he's in the immensely saturated genre of fantasy Although it is true that you need to have many books in order to make any kind of profit at all You'll most likely get nowhere with just 5 or 6 Almost literally nobody makes real money until they're in the 15 book range

He should just spend a little bit of time cleaning up his credit record, pay off old debts, etc If he's making $50k/ month I don't get why he's bitching about dropping $35k for a car? I just finished paying off my $30k car, and I don't even make $50k in a year! He should just have had the cash for it earned in less than a month with plenty to spare for living expenses Even when he was living in NY paying $2500/ mo that's still a tiny fraction of his gross He's got virtually no overhead for writing his books Where the hell is his money going?
