It is very unfair that people is always remembered for what they do and not what they prevent from happening true, Nobel invented the dynamite, but the dynamite was a way to stabilize the nitroglycerin and preventing unwanted explosions in the mines that used it Dynamite was much safer to use Anyway, nice recount of the history around Alfred Nobel Thank you for divulging these details (and uncertainties),

What were the explosives used before Nobel invented dynamite and how many were killed using them? I've always thought of Nobel as a man whose invention saved many lives Thinking about it some more was dynamite commonly used by the military? It still had to be treated with respect which makes it a poor candidate for military use

hello Kathy, there is a german gentleman called Alexander Unziker who has created many youtubes downright finding fault with Feynman, Gell-Mann, and many other physicists, more the post 1940 physics development he says is in the wrong direction, does he make sense to you? Another german lady Sabine Hossenfelder, what are your thoughts on her? All I want to know is whether you think there is substance to what they say, so we can either ignore or listen to them periodically

I don't know your sources but what you've stated here seems well researched and highly plausible This myth, if it is a myth, is actually stated on the Wikipedia page on the Nobel Prize I'm going to try to start a discussion through the proper Wikipedia channels, but once again I don't know your sources, so I was wondering if you would maybe be interested in giving them to me/ starting a discussion through the proper channels yourself I'm willing to do the work if you can help me out with sources, though I don't have much experience with Wikipedia I know scholars oftentimes view Wikipedia as not credible and not worth the time anyway, but I really disagree Some of the information in there can be wrong, but it has been found through studies to actually be overall quite accurate to the point that I believe it is a reputable source generally, or at least a very helpful summary of other reputable sources Regardless, I'm sure thousands of high school kids doing projects on the Nobel Prize will read the article and become misinformed about why Nobel created his prize, so I think it's worth trying to get changed They actually specifically use the phrase "Merchant Of Death" in the article Thank you! I just subscribed I like this channel!
