A two year old should enjoy being a child, she'll have enough time to set up tables when she is an adult And why no other children were helping her? What is that, raising a convenient woman?

I'am studying for become a teacher and I really think that I can become a good Montesory teacher I think that because I love this methology and I support it a lot On the one hand, I really like obseve children because they seen the live very different to us and they have the power of impress us On the other hand, I think that in the tradicional methology there are a very clear roles with different powers between the teacher and the students, and I belive that this is bad for the education of children

I find it mind-blowing that children of 2 years old are able to set the table It really makes me think what are their potential capabilities, and it breaks my heart a little to know we cut their wings at a very early stage brOne thing I really like about the Montessori education is that it's applied to practical life It teaches you things you will need for the rest of your life that you can apply at any given moment I think this fact also encourages children to keep on learning, as it's more motivating than learning how to solve equations (don't get me wrong, they are also really useful, but most of us won't apply them on a daily basis)

One of the aspects that I most like about the Montessori education is the way the teacher makes his interventions, we can see he has a secondary paper, he only helps the children when they need no when the adult’s thing that is necessary, he also teaches the kids how to do practice things, so later they can do without help like Hazle does, following the modeling role brAlso, this education creates a very independent and freedom children who learn how to do dairy tasks and in the future they will be completely different to the rich girl brQueralt Dalmau grup 31 seminari A

From my point of view, the role of the teacher in a Montessori school is a really interesting fact to talk about We, as students, usually think about a teacher as a figure of authority or maybe the person who knows about everything But a teacher is a role model I would say that is a person that you have to admire br brWith Montessory method, the teacher is a person who must share his knowledge but also, he has to rely on his students He is, with another words, a kind of guide

Hello, I am discussing with a group of people in an effort to develop a new type of learning curriculum which incorporates Montessori, Waldorf and Forest Schooling, along with any other type of education (open to suggestion) that allows for growth, holisticallybrbrIt is my hope to involve some great minds from the field of child developmental psychology and neuroscience to fine tune this new curriculum into something truly beneficial to humanitybrbrIf you would like to get involved or know anyone that might be interested, please let me know! We do not have funding as of yet, as it is currently in the visioning & discussion stage of the processbrbrThank you for your timebrbr- Amber Smith

I belive that Montessori method is an expert method to educate children Looking and thinking about my future as a primary teacher, I believe that I'll apply in class this methodbrbrWhy I want in a future applying this method in my class? I think that children are the most important thing that are in the world, since this child are the future and the thinks they learn in the school, they will apply in his or her future Montessori is a good method to educate children, since they can express all they want without pression to lean all the things
Comment from : Laura Paniagua Martínez

Alex Cortinas Moya
I’m going to talk about an aspect that I really like about this methodology brI think that school has to be adapted to students so I really like the fact that Montessori schools let her students to experiment and learn by herself brI really believe that this methodology supports the development of the students and let them to be spontaneous and creative brAn aspect that I really like about this methodology is that the social abilities and the autonomy in children increase In this video, we can see it with the little girl Hazel when she is setting alone the table brFinally, another fact that I would like to share is that this kind of schools give lot of importance to some important values like the respect between schoolmates or the solidarity
Comment from : Alex Cortinas Moya

Mariona Masague
One aspect that I really like about this methodology is the autonomy that students gain as they evolve It is a methodology that opens the doors for students to unknown worlds in which they alone have to try to survive The autonomy that this methodology gives to the little ones makes them grow and it prepare them to know how is real lifebrbrMariona

• Your job as a future primary school teacher and possible teaching methodologies br brI’ve chosen this issue because it is something I think about when, in all subjects of the degree, teachers recommend us to use Montessori Methodology I think that, though we want to aplicate the methods of Montessori, we will have to follow our school or department rules because we have to be a team with other teachers and students cannot do different things from one year to another, it will not be good for them I’m going to do dynamic lessons and let children learn on their own, but I will always follow school projects
Comment from : Ona Martínez Fernández

Dídac
I like how Montessori teachers are just cheering up the children, giving some help just when they ask for it, and leaving them on their own knowing that they are able to do what they’re supposed to do They know what they kids can do and what cannot do, and do not interfere unless they propose activities or try to organize some situations The teachers are only the optional guides and the safety net in case students have an accident and an adult is required to assist them
Comment from : Dídac

emmawshhh
An aspect I really like about Montessori's method, is that it helps the students to be really independent in really early times, so when they grow up they would be able to do a lot of things that normal school students don't brbrIn my experience, common students are quite poor prepared nowadays for their daily lives I have students in second grade with difficulties of putting on their shoes, and those kids know how to clean their dishes and set the table with two years oldbrbrLetting them fight with the difficulties they find daily, help them to strive and achieve on their own a lot of things much quicker

Nuria Ruiz
The one thing that amuses me the most about this methodology, and that I also think that is one of the most important parts, is the role that the teacher develops in the class When we think of a professor, we tend to think of someone telling us what to do and how, but in this case, with Montessori's method everything changes A teacher becomes an observer, someone who encourages his pupils to do all by themselves and ask for help if needed This freedom allows children to grow and develop on their own, something which is very essential to mebrbr brNúria Ruiz G31 - C
Comment from : Nuria Ruiz

Mar Villar
If I had to say an aspect that I really like about the methodology of Montessori, I would say the freedom that the children have to act naturally and without the influence of an adult I believe that this methodology allows children to be more autonomous and to know how to solve their problems on their own I think that, in this way, trust is given to children
Comment from : Mar Villar

Pol Bellavista
The main thing that I most like about this methodology is the fact that the childrens are attended all the time and they are the center of attention brbrThe kids are helped all the time and teachers have to be attentive to help them whenever they need it In addition, kids can feel successful because teachers let them succeed on their ownbrbrIn conclusion, I think that this methodology is very helpful and useful to childrens and they have more probabilities to success
Comment from : Pol Bellavista

NoemiLJ
I believe that not having screens in the classroom is a very wise decision up to a certain age When they are young, children need to experiment on their own, to learn by trial and error without any screen getting in their way Once children start to grow up, I think they should be introduced in a measured way to all kinds of screens, after all it is a "compulsory" learning to not be excluded from society and to be able to understand many concepts Also, with a good control, the screens are a very key tool for learning
Comment from : NoemiLJ

Nadia Nuñez
An aspect that seems to me very important and curious because usually we didn’t use it is to offer children the liberty of action in the activities that they dobrSo, it’s positive that the children can carry out the activities that they are able to do without the help of the adult figurebrAlso, there are moments in which the children need a certain help, and in this case, they will communicate itbrThis methodology produces some positive effects to the children, the fact that they can do the action on their own will trigger independence since an early agebrIn fact, this methodology offers the liberty of decision to children, and the possibility of adapting to the life and the routines of the adults
Comment from : Nadia Nuñez

andrea lino
One of the aspects that I really like about Montesori’s methodology is the way they treat children They think that children are not inferior and they can do anything for themselves and I agree Of course always taking care of what they do and teaching and guiding them in case they need help brPerhaps this is one of the keys for them to grow well and become independent people, not like the girl who appears in the video calling her father br brOn the other hand, I think that it is important for children to adapt the material, that is, the tables, chairs, cupboards, windows and doors must correspond to its size This makes it easier for them to do their tasks as we have seen with the girl setting the table
Comment from : andrea lino

Marina
From my point of view, one of the most important characteristics of the Montessori method is the role of the teacher as observer brHis function as observer is based on: Instead of giving children the correct answer to the problem, give them the opportunity to figure out how to solve it on their own In this way, the development of critical thinking is higherbr brAnd, in my opinion, it is essential to have critical thinking and this has to be promoted from schools brFurthermore, we will only be able to build a society with people who are truly educated in values and knowledge if they have critical thinking
Comment from : Marina

Cristina Macia Lahuerta
The role of the teacher in Montessori school is quite different of what we are used to see In Montessori’s schools, the teachers are there to guide children without being authoritarian They give children freedom to develop themselves, giving them autonomy and independence They observe children and let them experiment by themselves to grow up brIn this way, children learn how to do things by their own and how to take care of themselves too In fact, teachers have a friendly and kind relationship with students
Comment from : Cristina Macia Lahuerta

gloria falgueras navarro
I like a lot this video! When I was little, I was in a school that applied the Montessori method I like this method because the kid learns about the experience I think it’s fundamental to learn by the experience, because your fails, make you have more conscience of the cause of the things that we do That’s why when in the future, I will be a teacher, I would like to teach my kids with this method
Comment from : gloria falgueras navarro

Carla Vendrell Garcia
I believe that the Montessori methodology can have some disadvantages One of them could be the cost With this methodology, learning is more personalized and the groups are smaller, which means more teachers are required In a school that uses another methodology, the classes are about 30 students each, while with this methodology, teaching 30 students probably needs 3 teachers Another thing that makes it more expensive is all the materials that are used It’s a rare material, so if you want to buy it, you’ll have to spend more moneybrbrThis doesn’t mean I wouldn’t use this methodology; it only means using it has disadvantagesbrbrCarla Vendrell, G31, C
Comment from : Carla Vendrell Garcia

Carla Llavall Batalla
I recently stumbled with this video concerning a subject we referred in class which aim is to learn, in broad brushstrokes, about the Montessori methodology One aspect that really caught up my attention was that this methodology implies the fact that the children are the center of their own learning process Thus, the learning environment recognizes the children as the protagonist of its process Therefore, it promotes the active engagement and their own activity as students
Comment from : Carla Llavall Batalla

Nirja Tolani
In relation to Montessori methodology, I had the opportunity to visit a pre-school classroom in a Montessori school, as I was doing research on Alternative Methodologies in Education for my TdR The first thing that seem interesting to me was how the classroom was designed and organized I could smell tidyness and perfection It seemed everything was in its place and for a reason Also, the classroom had very large windows so children could appreciate nature and have a connection with it Secondly, I was very surprised as I could see very independent children coming and doing their daily tasks on their own without being asked to before deciding what activity they wanted to start the day with Children could choose what activity or educative materials they want to manipulate regarding to their interests and motivation The teacher was there to observe their development, and offer them the opportunity to get to know new materials they haven’t manipulated before Not only that, teacher was there to help them in case they need any In this way, I could see a classroom with responsible and authonomous children sharing an educational space It was very pleasent to see that atmosphere in a class After that experience, i was really looking forward to start my career in the educational world and get to know more about this methodology

I find Montessori a good methodology because it allows students to direct their own learning and to develop their abilities, prioritizing students as the centre of their learning Furthermore, the role of the teacher is to give only necessary aid, letting students to be independent and always observing before doing anything The teacher also stablishes as a role model Finally, I find mixed levels useful because students can learn from each other
Comment from : Martunskins entertainment

Ariadna Bernal Blanch
I think that the role of the teacher in a Montessori school it's different from the others schools Because in a Montessori school the children are more authonomous, they use real objects by themselves and the teacher is only there in case they need help with something important Although in the video you can see that they also do a music sessions I also think that they are also there to see the evolution that the students have, in their autonomy and in their academic progress
Comment from : Ariadna Bernal Blanch

Hugo Pascual
I think I would need a good preparation to implement this methodology in me, because whenever I see a child with problems to do something, I naturally want to help him and maybe the best thing for him would be to let him be free to act as he sees best But I suppose that with time and practice I would be able to be a good teacher for Montessori schools because I really like the methodology and I would be willing to change my way of relating to children to apply it well
Comment from : Hugo Pascual

Marinaa M
In my opinion Montessori is a very good methodology to do in class brFirst of all, I think that Montessori teachers improve the self-develovement of children, so that could be very beneficial for their future because children have the oportunity to learn by their own brAn other aspect i really like about this methodology is the observation of the teachers I think that this is very important, not only for improving their attention in class but also for learing about what happens in their environment brFinally, I think that Montessori has a lot of good aspects and one of the most importats for me is the independance that this method creates on children
Comment from : Marinaa M

Xènia Marsol
In a Montessori school, the role of the teacher isn’t the same as the role of the teacher in a conventional schoolbrbrbrFirst of all, the teacher has to observe and follow the child to know them, but without her intervention She doesn’t have to give her help to the children if they don’t need it brbrbrIn addition, she has to plan activities that can help children in their practical life and help them to take care of themselves brbrbrMoreover, if they practice without teacher's help, they will learn how to do it by themselves and will know how to be an independent and autonom person brbrbrAlso, the teacher has to act in a way that when the child becomes a teenager, he or she could be prepared for life and know how to do the things by himself or herself brbrbrFinally, she has to let freedom to the children without exceeding the limits of the common sense
Comment from : Xènia Marsol

Maite García Raya
I really like this learning method because the students are the main character in this process Is for this reason that I suppose that children have to make your own knowledge based on experimentation from day to day brFurthemore is important to develop this learning method during childhood because in the future, children will be able to make your own learning method based on their independence I wish that teachers will continue to teach about Montessori Education
Comment from : Maite García Raya

Sergio González
Without a doubt, the role of the teacher within a Montessori school is very different from the idea we have in mind It seems that we give the word teacher to someone who speaks for a whole hour and is responsible for sending those who speak to silencebrbrHowever, what is shown in this video is totally different The teacher is a figure that accompanies the learning of his student, leaving freedom to the educational development of the class It is an aid that students can access if they cannot complete a task by themselves, but instead of telling them how to do it directly, they receive advice or a guide to continue learning
Comment from : Sergio González

Emma Cabada Vazquez
From my perspective one of the aspects that characterize Montessori's methodology is the different role of the teacher Montessori shows that the child has to experiment his own life and that way, be the real protagonist of his actions To take the helm and be the forerunner of their successes but also their mistakes If the role of the teacher means rigidly directing the child without him having control over what he does, we only get that without that figure of the teacher, feels totally lost and useless The teacher has to give freedom so that the student, based on his experience, grows
Comment from : Emma Cabada Vazquez

Chewbacca Llanut
In my opinion, one of the best things Montessori says is to observe and follow the child This premise is able to change chilhood’s image or, at least, the vision wich people used o have about children Montessori puts the kid in the centre implying a decrease in the adultcentric vision of the education system brI strongly thing this is part of the basis of learning because it is able to keep alive childrens’ curosity Students are always searching new things and, when they reach their objectives, they feel realisez, reinforcing their self-esteembrbrQuim Punsola, Grup 31/C

My 2 children went to a Montessori school at around age 10 - 12 after leaving a traditional school brAttendance was relaxed They had to be there before 10am Once in the classroom they could do as they pleased If they wanted to just spend their day laying on the sofa they could No one would 'force' them to learn If they did something good that they were proud of, the teachers would not congratulate or show any sign of encouragement on what they had achieved, to not cause jealousy amongst them Birthdays were not celebrated either, for the same reason brThey soon realised that they were rewarded the same, whether they rolled up to school at 10am and did literally nothing all day, or were there at 8:30 and worked hard brThey also remarked very soon after starting, that they found the other children, in their words, "a bit stupid" There were a lot of very basic things that they had no understanding of Children much older than them still didn't know their tables for example brThere was no structure to the class and without motivation and instruction, most of the children did very little with their time there brMy children lost all interest in learning and lost nearly 2 years of education Before putting them back into a regular school, we spent the 2 months of the summer holidays trying to get them back on track Maths was the biggest problem They had learnt literally nothing in 2 yearsbrYou may wonder why I let it go so long before intervening Well, initially it was my wife's idea (now ex-wife) to put them into Montessori education She reassured me that it was normal and that it would all fall into place It never didbrChildren should not be taught that, try or don't try, the results are the samebrThey should be taught that hard work pays off

Carlota Cantero
An aspect I really like about this method is that everything in the classroom is set so that the children don't need the teacher to grab them things, or tho help them because its to high this makes the children gain autonomy I really like this method because I think that the child is the centre of the learning process, but I would adapt it into nowadays technology by adding computers, Ipads
Comment from : Carlota Cantero

Alicia Sosa
I really like Montessori method, the aspect I liked the most is the autonomy that the child has brHowever, I think they should update the methodology and add computers and screens to the classrooms I think they have to adapt this methodology to the present with technology
Comment from : Alicia Sosa

Alex Catalán
I admire Montessori system In my opinion it's an incredible methodology to educate the children On the one hand i thought that the children can learn with a lot of funny materials and it could be more efficient Cause in my opinion the best way to learn something is creating a memory about something On the other hand, i think that the Montessori's methodology it's so much different than the traditional methodology, and this is something very difficult to compaginate
Comment from : Alex Catalán

Sandra Anna Molina Sánchez
S Anna Molina Grup 41, seminari B UAB Ed PrimàriabrbrThe teacher’s method on Montessori is conceived as a guide and facilitator of learning who observes what children's needs, capacities, and interests of each student and offers them opportunities to develop without applying rewards or punishments since they understand that learning itself is the personal reward of each child The ultimate goal is for the teacher to intervene less and less in this process of discovering the environment and learning as the child develops
Comment from : Sandra Anna Molina Sánchez

Irene Lopez Brustenga
I think that well applied this methodology is very effective, since it favors the development of the child's cognitive functions, especially their creativity, while enhancing social skills and fostering autonomy However, like the rest of the educational methods, this methodology also has some disadvantages brHowever, if adults give children too much freedom and do not know how to set clear limits, disruptive and rebellious behaviors are likely to appear
Comment from : Irene Lopez Brustenga

Júlia Masisern
After watching this video I'd like to commend the fact that Montessori Education seems to not use any kind of technology Nowadays we live in a society where most things require a sort of technology So for that reason I disagree with this aspect of the methodology However, in the age of three to five there's no big deal with it, as they're learning the essential things of life such as routines or simple tasks In my opinion, it'll be a great idea to implement computers, screens, or any other kind of technology to their classes to at least get familiar with them and trying to learn their use
Comment from : Júlia Masisern

Paula Sánchez Ahufinger
I think Montessori developed a good learning methodology I believe that today many aspects of this theory could be applied in the educational system, since children we meet today lack values and developmental abilities For example, personally, if a child is up a tree and I see that he is going to fall, I will quickly tell him that what he is doing is not right, since that act can harm him However, I would disagree with one aspect of the first phase of the method, observe it It was true that children must be allowed to be independent, self-sufficient and act on their own, but when they were exposed to danger, teachers must act before a disaster struck In situations like this I wouldn’t act like Montessori Nevertheless, in many other aspects I fully agree
Comment from : Paula Sánchez Ahufinger

Sara López Pérez
We have spent almost our entire school life subjected to a type of education based on doing many exercises, memorizing and passing exams, when many times we didn’t even understand that we were studying brI think this method helps the child to develop by himself, and learn in a more self-taught way, this learning by himself reaches a common goal: learn and understand what they are really doing, not just memorize
Comment from : Sara López Pérez

Nina Malgosa Freixa
An aspect I really like about this methodology is that they practice some things that we need for real life In our schools, we only study or practice subjects like maths, languages, biology But I think that it's so necessary to learn different things about our daily life, like cleaning, cooking, sewing This methodology is not very used nowadays, but I think that it is so important to learn this
Comment from : Nina Malgosa Freixa

Vaishali Saini
This is how school functioning methodology should be! Our Educational System is the opposite of this, which means you have to listen to the teacher for 6 hours, sitting on a chair and not being allowed to experiment, build your own knowledge, discover things on your own is the reason, why things are just not working anymore, in the system we are in, right now The number of frustrared, unmotivated students has increased increbily over the last decade which is leading to early school abandonmentWe should pay attention to it and make important changes!
Comment from : Vaishali Saini

NORA GALVE BATET-
Being honest, I admire this methodology of education I will use this kind of education when I will be a teacher because for me, the best way to educated is letting freedom I'm the kind of person that thinks that for to be a good professor you have to let the chill be creative and be curious, you only have to guide how he can do it This is why I thing that I could be a good montessori teacher
Comment from : NORA GALVE BATET-

Daniel Pasamontes
In my opinion, computers and screens when children are too young, as in this video, should be banned Screens provide too much stimulation for children and are harmful to them However, when children grow up and are older, I think computers can be used as a tool to search for information about something
Comment from : Daniel Pasamontes

Laia Filbà
What’s inside Montessori's schools? After watching this video, we can notice one fact: there seem to be no computers or screens in the room As it is said, the Montessori methodology is based on practical life, giving importance to learning basic issues that children could use for their growth and development In my opinion, kids need to interact with others and also with all the elements that enclose them; in this way, computers or screens can build a barrier between them and their environment So the question here could be: At this range of age, are technologies really necessary?
Comment from : Laia Filbà

Group 41, Seminari A brThe first time I heard about Montessori's methodology I decided that when I'll be a teacher, I'll try to be a Montessori's one I think is a really good methodology to follow for the children's development brI don't know why I could be a good Montessori teacher, but I truly know that I want to and this is the first and most important step
Comment from : Mariona Alexandre

Marina Tordera
One thing I really liked about this methodology is waiting for children to resolve adversity on their own and not with the help of adults Because, usually when we see that a child finds it difficult to grab an object, for example, we bring the object closer to him so that he has it, without letting him find a way to catch itbrbrMarina Tordera Sala, G41, Seminari C

maria casajuana guma
An aspect I really like about this methodology is the autonomy that children have They are able to set the table, to do experiments and to learn for themselves Teachers are not superior to students

Andrea Enríquez Guardia
In my opinion, children don't need computers or technological devices to learn Furthermore, if children don't have computers, they can learn other things that are more important for life, for example set a table So, in that way, computers don't help children to be more independent
Comment from : Andrea Enríquez Guardia

Iker García Gonzalez
In the Montessori methodology, children create their own learning with total freedom, also having a very active role So, in my opinion the problem comes when the student is not interested in certain subjects If this happens over several courses, it can become a problem for the pupil's skills On the other hand, when you interact with other children with your age who don’t follow this same methodology, it can make a big difference
Comment from : Iker García Gonzalez

Júlia Cots Solanas
Montessori is an education method for children to develop tools which are going to help them to acquire autonomy and competences in a different way from the traditional one brI always thought that learning skills without having to be sitting down in a chair and listening to the theoretical classes, is more grateful than doing it without limits This could be because children need movement and freedom to develop interest to find what they like most That’s the reason why I like the methodology used by Montessori schools Being inclusive, for everybody and including the differences
Comment from : Júlia Cots Solanas

Laura
Laura Soler, grup 31, seminari CbrI really like the fact that in Montessory methodology, the teachers observe the children and give to them a free, personal, and safe place for their self-development, because I think that is so important for children’s development to learn alone although the teachers guide and stay with them in the process
Comment from : Laura

Raimon Torres Vidal
I want to talk about the first point of Montessori Prepared Environment because this point really makes me think In my opinion, parents and teachers are a bit bad accustomed to give to their children all what they appear to need The parents want to give them a lot of facilities during the first years of life I think its so interesting the fact to be able to look and expect them to stand up for themselves Because if we give them all what they apparently need, we do not encourage them to learn and grow by themselves brbrRaimon Torres, Grup 41, Seminari C

Carla Cabeza Domingo
Personally, I think a very important aspect of Montessori education is that the teachers aren’t the authority, they just observe the children and act as a guide, making the students more independent
Comment from : Carla Cabeza Domingo

Ana Campano Jiménez
In my case, the aspect I like the most is the libertarian education proposed by the montessori method Montessori makes that all the students feel completely free at school and this is not easy to achieve, at my point of view Another aspect to consider is the importance of the role of teachers, as they guide students so that they develop autonomy and independence
Comment from : Ana Campano Jiménez

BERTA TREVIÑO
What I like the most about Montessori's system is that every student learns in their way We are different, and that's why each one sets their own pace whether to read or write for example I think is pretty good that all the activities are created for the students, that way they can learn from their mistakes without the need for the teacher to correct them every time
Comment from : BERTA TREVIÑO

Pep Castilla Badia
In my opinion, I think that the Montessori method is very positive for children In this way students have more independence, it is a learning based on freedom and autonomy Children are supervised by teachers, who have to help students with their specific needs
Comment from : Pep Castilla Badia

Guillem Tost Papió
I believe that this method, the Montessori method, is a method that benefits the pupils because it is the school that adapts to the pupils and not the pupils who have to adapt to the school I think it changes a lot from the traditional school, as the learning methodology also changes, and the methodology is to work by projects, to work by touching the material, in short, to work in contact with people and with the environment I like this method

In my opinion, the methodology they have used in giving children independence is very beneficial for them This methodology teaches students to touch objects, learn and enjoy in a good environment One point to note is that the student is the main person during the activities In addition, teachers are a very important point, as they do not teach children, but guide them

One of the things that I like about Montessori system is letting the children freedom to develop themselves We must change our mind and start valuing children as they really deserve This methodology allows them to develop their skills on their own, and I think that this fact is very important to be able to acquire autonomy

Group 41 sem BbrThis methodology gives us the opportunity as a teacher to observe and give the skills to the children that consequently, form and create their knowledge What I like the most about Montessori is that children do whatever they want without any risk I mean, they have freedom within limits like the video has presented

One of the aspects that I want to emphasize is the fact that children can learn how to do things without any help They are free to investigate on their own They can experiment without following any type of rulebrbrAt the end, this methodology is a benefit on their developmentbrbrJudith Caballero - Group 41

An aspect that I really like about this methodology is the independence that a child takes in his learning process As we see in the case of Jackson who shows us how he spends most of the three hours working alone without help So, this method prepares children for real life because they have knowledge of their own capacities, and this will help them to be self-sufficient, independent, and sure of themselves in the future

The aspect I liked the most about Montessori is that, for this methodology, it is very important to learn aspects of our day a day, such as setting the table In my experience, I’ve never seen anyone teach daily things to 3-year-olds at school There is always a judgment that they cannot do certain things because they are little, seeing them as inferior But Montessori is changing the paradigm

The role of the teacher in a Montessori school is to be a guide for the children She or he has to be able to let them struggle with the tasks, learn on their own and help them if they need to The role is basically to observe them and not to impose their knowledge brbrMoreover, she or he has to treat all the children equally and give each one what they need Also, a Montessori teacher has to guarantee the freedom of the children but to be capable to establish some boundaries brbrGrup 41 - Seminari A

What I like the most about this methodology is the independence that children have This methodology is good for their well-being and they can also develop their skills I think that Montessori prepares the kids for real life So, I agree with this methodology and I think that it’s a good method to get autonomy and also a method that makes children learn a lot

Grup 41 Seminari AbrIn my personal opinion, one of the aspects of a Montessori school that surprises me more is the role of the teacher In a Montessori school, this role, consists basically, of observing In this way, the teacher gets to know more about every child and can see the individual needs, and leaves more independence and liberty to the kids, which makes them more autonomous This shocked me because of the big difference between a Montessori and a traditional school, where teachers guide you in every activity you're doing

An aspect that I find really interesting, is that, the students are independent, without counting with the teacher, meaning that, the teacher is always there if they need any help, but they are encouraging the students for being self-sufficientbrAlso, they are developing their skills in a natural atmosphere, which is very good for their well-being and a new experience, rather than being in a closed classroom, sitting on their chairs and not being able to participate

I work in a nursery where they use this methodology I think it is a good methodology, because it puts everything within the reach of the child and makes it more independent In addition, materials and the way to work with them make children develop their abilities and experiment with them, making them learn effectively Also, we offer them different spaces in which they can discover and work according to their preference, always respecting the rhythm of everyone Although this kindergarten is not 100 Montessori, I have been able to see and learn quite a few aspects of this innovative methodology

The fact that non-native teachers are speaking in English with the children is something that stood out for me in this video Nowadays, English has a great importance as a language and that's why most parents want their kids to learn it from an early age Nonetheless, I think that a good level of English doesn't depend on  having native speakers as teachers I actually think sometimes it can be easier to have someone with an accent like yours if your level is very basic, so that it's easier to understand them As far as for kids goes, I think it's positive that they hear different accents, whether they come from native speakers or notbrbrÀngels Aguilera - Grup 41A Educació Primària

The aspect I like the most about Montessori methodology, is the freedom that children have while they are in the school From my point of view, this kind of methodology is very beneficial for the students, because it is good for them to have autonomy and independence to prepare them for the real life They learn in her own without any unnecessary help from their teachers Moreover, the role of teachers is very important, because they don’t have to teach children, but they have to guide them thrown their learning

What I really like about this methodology is the fact that children can experience without someone who says what they have to do or corrects the things that they are doing In my opinion, children have to prove and try to do the things in their way so as to learn what they do wrong and improve from their own difficulties I agree with Montessori methodology, because children have freedom to do what they want, and this is the best option to get a good development and autonomybrJúlia Clascà, grup 41

From my point of view, I see that this methodology is beneficial for the students A very good aspect is that the student is the main character of each activity The Montessori’s teachers are one hundred percent for them In addition, they are being educated in a natural environment That is really profitable for each student because they are touching all things and they can view each of them always brbr brAs far as I’m concerned, this methodology became feelings and therefore more internalized and meaningful learning

An aspect I really like about this methodology is the freedom that children have without limits In other methodologies, when the child can’t do something, the teacher always helps him, and he ends up without doing the activity by himself, and therefore, he doesn’t learn by himself The teachers of Montessori school teach them to take care of themselves and to do daily tasks like set the table, so they are preparing themselves for the future br brbrIn my opinion, it’s very important to let the child find ways to solve his problems without any outside help This is well reflected in point one of these schools: observe, follow the child and let do
