Okay so my dad is presently 81 years old and he says that him and a bunch of his friends used a $1 coin in their belt as something they did as a group together way back in days when he was a bit wild Now that I'm looking at it, it is a 1776-1976 $1 coin and I do not see a mint mark Is it worth anything to take it out of the belt? Dear sir I have no argument with you on the no mint mark coin I have, as it is obvious that it doesn't have a proof mirror like finish and it weighed 228 grams and you can see the copper like finish by the way I pulled this out of a three coin set that indeed had a proof quarter and kennedy half dollar, but I'm trying to figure if this coin is worth something as I just seen another coin video showing one like mine that was graded ms 66 that went for 700000 dollars I would be more than happy if I got that amount!, would you describe my coin as a copper clad??, and do you think it is worth that much money or will I have to send it in to verify what I really have?? Well I noticed you didn't say anything about the 1975 Proof Set dime with no mint mark maybe they're getting confused with it which there was only two known of it exists of that that I'm aware of and since we're on the subject that's 1975 did you know that there was 13 1975 quarters but they were all destroyed except for one and it lies at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean yes it was not announced it was made in 1974 September things were going to be made for presidents and dignitaries and one was going to be presented to the Gerald Ford Library but things changed and they decided to go with the 76 bicentennial Comment from : Mark Payne |
