I took this policy( 3L sum assured 12 years) , in total I paid around 35 lakhs and at maturity am getting ONLY 44 Lakhs including bonus If I had invested the same amount in a bank RD I would have got 55 lakhs which is 1 lakh more So LIC is totally USELESS for savings and investment, only BENEFIT is as a term insurance to your family in case of your death !!
