They will ruin your credit There is no customer support I ordered a Google Nest Doorbell installed from Google and financed through Synchrony Bank The Google Installer could not get it to work and Google would not take it back! I explained this to Synchrony and Google more than 6 times! Synchrony Bank filed a negative report to the Credit Bureaus and lowered my credit score! I did nothing wrong! I really love Synchrony's Paypal 6 mos free financing I have had it for over 5 years without a glitch I checked before I signed up to make sure the payments I made would go towards my earliest charged amounts They do (If the payments I made went towards the most recent charges first, I would have to pay off every penny I charged within six months in order to have free financing) But, I received an offer from Synchrony for a stand alone credit card (Not in connection to any other company) at a really good interest rate but I didn't accept it because I looked online and saw what kinds of problems other people were having with Synchrony I don't need to sign up for a card that will ruin my credit rating no matter how low the interest rate is Comment from : lynda proper

Sorta terrified of credit cards (bad BAD experiences: one Chase card, on which I had a $35K unsecured line of credit and was paid off, similar to what you said about Chase not recognizing the final payment; I had to call Chase a few years later, and they found my account which was marked paid, and cleared that junk of my credit report), but so far, my Verizon Visa has been used for gas and groceries, and basically knock my phone bills to free every month I pay it all a few weeks before it's due (because I don't trust ANY bank), and have to login to VZW to have the cash rewards applied to my bill (really should be automatic, but whatever) ONE PROBLEM is that Synchrony "account manager": I couldn't log in a few months in a row, and tech support said to turn OFF the account manager, and that worked I have only Amazon and Visa Synchrony cards (DEO GRATIAS ✝❤) and hope to keep it that way Some bills don't seem to work well with Synchrony Visas (hospital didn't recognize it until I called the hospital; Anthem still doesn't recognize it), but I like to vary my payment methods for "privacy concerns" anyway As long as I get the 4 cash back on gas, I'm pretty happy! Having worked in a position of debt collection, please know that asking for a copy of the cancelled check wasn’t to make it more difficult It was simply so they could verify they were, indeed, the ones to deposit the check Obviously, someone did apply the payment on the wrong account, which is on them, but it’s human error We have had customers who find their check was delivered to the wrong company and, however it happened, that company cashed the check … Even though it was made out to our company!! IF you are a woman they won't give you credit I tried to buy a sewing machine and they declined me for ANY credit - had A1 credit rating before, good income, our home was good property, never late with any payment, etc and this is a community property state They said NO, they wouldn't give me enough credit for a sewing machine- and because I was a FEMALE?? Implied, but not stated to me out loud - but that must have been the reason since there was NO others? I have one synchrony bank card, the Rakuten VISA, which I use to earn 3x American Express points per dollar on anything purchased through the Rakuten shopping portal I have had nothing but good experiences It is actually I find one of my more frequently used cards for online shopping because there are often pretty good deals through Rakuten for online shopping, and its hard to be beat 3x amex points on online I have had the card a long time, back when it was the Ebates VISA and have earned around $110000 cash back since using that card (translates to 110,000 MR points) Some of that was on a very large cash back deal on Lifelock which I believe netted 80x + 3x MR points on a lifelock membership One of the nice things about the card is that it is deeply integrated with Rakuten, so you can see the cash back / MR points earned on the card directly on Rakuten's mobile app or website If look at your Rakuten cash back balance it shows it broken down as "online cash back", "in store cash back", and "credit card rewards" Comment from : Samuel Sze
