I admire all those that willingly want to do this job, but after I learned the effects this job can have, I am in awe as to people that do this The price you pay is heavy Heavy alcoholism, high divorce rates, not trusting people when you are out in society and ironically potential drug use amongst some COs All for a decent, but not great wage That is why I drill higher education for my 2 young children

That doesn't really help because I'm trying to find out what the top hourly wages for a corrections officer in Alabama Because I keep hearing some 16 and $18 an hour but I think that's starting and I want to know if it tops out around 31 or $32 an hour like a regular cop even if it takes 10 years Because if you take $31 an hour plus working 95 hours a week every week you're looking at $200,000 a year that's a nice healthy salary even if you have to work a lot of hours But I want to know what the top hourly wage is if it's $31 an hour or $32 an hour or higher?

Some Co's can have a long career without dying right after retiring It's all about attitude and how you treat inmates If you do your job and you're a good partner, you have a good attitude, and most importantly treat the inmates as humans and with respect, you'll be better off during and after your career

Does an applicant have to live within 10-40 miles from a correction facility/prison?There are some Counties in Southern CA that do not have any State prisons,only County Jails that the Sheriff's Depthandles
