I have 2 1943 steel pennies one has a blackened coating with a little metal showing ( not a D coin) the other one is a Denver mint but it does have a light coating of rush should I try to remove the rust? most likely that would ruin the value

A non variety 1943 steel cent is not worth as much as alot of people think The only thing "rare" about 1943 is its the only year to use a steel planchet Over a billion specimen were minted between P, D, and S MS examples are an easy, inexpensive find

hi silver picker here maelo if you see my video i has do about 1943 cent and a short of what i has found you will probably dont like it but looking at those paited found two of them with a d ovr a d to the botom and rigth corner of the d the other one have a do over horizontal d wich may me fell you know they were painted so i have to clean them
