I remember playing this as a kid on xbox and it took me forever to beat Darius, attempt after attempt after attempt and eventually I beat himbrcame back to it as a teenager (almost adult) and beat Darius first try I definitely got better at racing games, but it may also have been a bit of luckbrNever thought to try doing the game completely stock tho, not sure I could pull it off either tbhbrbrAlso I did not take the burnout vinyl as a kid, I remember seeing it and thinking "that's ugly as hell"

I guess the reason why all 3 stages easily stocked out is because choosing 1 of the classes will spawn you in the same class as your car's So basically you could start in all 3 areasbrbrNow that i think about it, i should try playing the whole game WITH just the RX-8 SE3P

I felt the pain at the Darius canyon race, i've raced in a fully upgraded 240sx against him and i was still suffering for 3 straight hours But i've managed to beat him after a lot of attempts

I had the Mercedes sl 550 as a kid and couldn't beat the final race no matter what I did, even had the car fully maxed out Bought an sti and used the leftover money for upgrades, nowhere close to fully maxed, and beat it by a mile

I actually beated 90 percent this game in red car that time I had no idea about getting new cars until one day in free roam I cam across a shop in free roam from where I brought the fastest car and than maxed its speed and defeated final boss

Your mistake was playing in automatic you losing out in so much acceleration and top speed just switching you'll noticed how much faster the car is

2:55 yep, had it on the Camaro with a blower sticking through the hood, good memories, I plan to beat him in Takumi's 86, basically I'll start out in a stock Trueno, and stay that way up to the end, if I can't beat him build the car to around 240HP, which is how much HP Takumi's 86 ran with the Formula Atlantic engine (no way to check IIRC so I'll say stage 1 parts) and see if I can beat him with that

Yep when I was a kid I had a hard time beating darius even with a maxed out Plymouth barracuda That car wasn't much fast and I failed many times, I Don't remember what I used, maybe an European, they were the best at top speed

as a kid, when i encounter the cutscene where darius (or cross i dont remember) took a car ket and i thought its my cars key and a day after my file corrupted after the cutscene as a dumb kid i am i thought since he took the keys i cant progress so i always skipped that one cutscene

Hey you can do it, collission gives YOU points in the both stages of canyon duel And switch on the rear view mirror If you run out of points, dont run away from Darius just brake and get hit by him Do it until you dominate points and get pushed to the finish

Believe it or not, but the game is much harder if you drive in a maxed out vehicle The reason is that every opponents in the game will always have the same setup (performance upgrades) as you!brbrFor example: If you don't install nitrous on your car, your opponents (Including the bosses) won't have NOS The other way, if you install a maxed out Turbo, with maxed NOS and maxed Tires & Brakes, your opponents will also have all those upgradesbrbrThis is a nice concept, but if anyone have Need For Speed Carbon and wants a very hard challenge, try beating the game with a maxed out rx8 Trust me, it is impossible (or is it?) because all your opponents cars will be maxed out just like yours! XXbrbrGood luck to anyone who will try it! 😅

I went through similar hell when I was younger Most Wanted 2005 made me fall in love with the Wankel cars, and I was furious when I realized they nerfed the RX8 & 7 in Carbon, because of the stupid teir system It was so frustrating being left behind, even with the max tuned RX7, yet, in the previous game, every car had the potential to be great Weak Tuners, home grown to step to Lambos and whatever But Carbon screwed all that upbrI was pissedbrEven more pissed NFS Heat doesn't have 3 or 4 rotor swaps, still the same 2 rotor WankelbrUnderground 2 & MW2005 are the last great NFS games to me
