This episode was heavily criticized when it came out and people still show a general disliking to it, It is probably the only scene of any Family Guy episode that took itself rather seriously concerning a subject matter that a lot of people are not always comfortable with It's probably one of the best moments in the entire shows history for that reason

Stewie's response is perfect Many people get angry at a person for feeling suicidal but that'll just make them feel worse Until youve experienced those thoughts yourself it can be very difficult to understand that pain of not wanting to live anymore

Whenever I see people talk about this clip like it was amazing and profound/groundbreaking, I remember what Zach Hadel said about it… yhe scene literally 2min before this was brian eating the shit out of Stewies diaper and his ass This is not good writing, its god awful jumping the shark content disguised as being thought provoking for smooth brains This technique of disguising poor writing was later perfected by rick and morty: the lamest show trying to to be funny while also trying to say something Advice for anyone watching: Arthur was a show that successfully did both and it was because they knew you dont have to be edgy to be funny, even tho most of the kids on that show were outta pocket for other reasons
