Nice video, but I have to differ when it comes to speed at which a person speaks For instance just by your speed alone, I feel you are pushing something that I have limited time to buy, yet when I slow the video down I dont feel so rushed to make a decision on the validity of what your saying

I think Robert Cialdini's work in Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion is a great segue into Dan Ariely's "Irrational" book, as well as work in autonaticity by psychologist John Bargh

I always feel dirty using influence, and am always skeptical of people who use it I really like the part where he breaks down that influence isn't I hesitantly bad I think I'm a good person and wouldn't try to sale snake oil or anything, so feel more comfortable using these tactics as weapons of good, and not evil

Dr Cialdini and his book Influence have had a very positive impact on me personally and professionally After getting out of the Air Force in 2003 I went back to college I decided to major in communication studies When friends and family found out I was majoring in communication studies the overwhelming response was, "How are you going to make money with that degree?" I really didn't have an answer except that it was a subject that I was interested in In an advanced persuasion class I was introduced to the work of Dr Cialdini and I really took it to heart After graduating I got my real estate license and I started implementing these 6 principles of influence right away I believe these principles have helped me survive the economic down turn in 2007 In 2012 I was named the National Sales Person of the year for the National Association of Home Builders and I credit this success in large part to Dr Cialdini's principles of Influence If you are in business I highly recommend you study and learn these principles of influence and follow the teachings of Dr Cialdini - THEY WORK!!!!brMy Sincere thanks to Dr Cialdini and his team!
