Ebay is basically taking my whole profit on vhs tapes cause they decided the final value fee based on the total value of the transaction, and I usually have to pay more for shipping than I get in profit $1 on a tape with $360 shipping and tax, 14 they take my whole dollar

I stopped selling things on eBay some time ago, Facebook market place has been great for getting rid of things without some middle man taking a cut eBay used to be much better years ago, also they always side with the buyer and never the seller

How do you know Ebay is raising fees? It's a day that ends in "y!" I've tracked my stores performance over the past several years and the fastest growing line item is fees They clearly have given up on improving the business and are just planning on fleecing sellers for fees

Hopefully they will expand the non-paying buyers for those that shill bid on auctions to either pay immediately or keep a certain percentage of the final bid amount and charge it against their payment method In addition, I will be raising my prices accordingly

With the USPS price raises in July and just again in January, ebay gets more in fees from that too I am raising prices a little as well to try and offset

My biggest mistake was not going hard on Amazon, and Ebay between 2005-2015 when low fees, low shipping, and less competition was around, so I could invest in businesses outside of their sandbox
